DOUBLE UPDATE
"You're the nightmare that
haunts my dreams,
yet the only dream I want to live."
AVYAAN
....
Avyaan's expression darkened and a storm brewed behind his cold exterior as he asked in a dangerously low voice, "Who?".
Kian was doing his best to maintain his composure under Avyaan's unrelenting scrutiny and replied quickly, "A woman named Divita - Sir Nilay's schoolmate. She is married to the American Mafia's right-hand man, but their divorce process is already underway. Right now, she is involved with the leader of the Python gang".
Avyaan's eyes darkened further at this news and his jaw was clenching as he processed the information.
"So, she is trying to climb her way to power, switching sides when it suits her. A woman who plays with fire, thinking she won't get burned but doesn't she knows that Python's gang leader is dead?".
Avyaan turned back to Kian as his expression was hard as steel.
Kian nodded and knew exactly what Avyaan meant.
The situation had escalated beyond simple territory wars- it was now personal, and that meant there would be no mercy.
"King! What is the next step, sir? Divita is trying to revive the dead gang of Python", Kian asked as he was ready to move into action.
Avyaan's response was cold and calculated. "Sent a message to the anonymous. They want to play games with us, we will show them how dangerous it is to cross the Scorpion Satan. As for Divita... Naina will deal with her. Python is mine to crush. Be in touch with the head of American Mafia".
Kian and other Scorpion Satan members understood it.
Avyaan's fist clenched at his side, the tension in his body palpable.
"No one touches my sister and her Angel and walks away unscathed", Avyaan said while looking at the red bulb out of the operation theatre.
Turning to Kian, Avyaan's voice was steely and commanding, "I want everyone on high alert. Find out who is behind this. I have a feeling that Divita is not alone. No mistakes, Kian. If anyone dares threaten Naina or her Angel, they will regret it."
Kian nodded swiftly as his face was determined. "I'll handle it, King. We won't let them get away."
Avyaan's gaze shifted to Tarana, who was sitting a distance away and her expression was pensive as she stared at the floor, seemingly lost in deep thought.
"Go home with Shark", Avyaan instructed her but Tarana shook her head vehemently.
Her voice turned serious as she questioned him, "Mr. Khadka! Which home?".
Avyaan's eyes stared at her. Tarana took a deep breath as she knew it was hard to get along with him and also get an answer from him.
"Avyaan Khadka! What do you want from me? What should I understand from your kisses, your touches, your closeness, and the way you forcefully brought me back to the city?", Tarana asked and while listening to her, Avyaan's brow furrowed and surprise flickered across his features.
He had not expected her to confront him so directly and at the hospital, when everyone was worried for Sunaina's health and recovery.
Tarana knew she had to fight for her happiness and love as she stood up to face him and her eyes were blazing with determination.
"You can't just treat me like this and expect me to remain silent. If you have feelings for me, then say it. If it's just about possession or power, then be honest with me", She spoke and the intensity in her voice made it clear that she wasn't going to back down and needed an answer at this moment.
Avyaan studied her for a moment and He finally replied and his tone was softer but still firm as he replied, "It's not that simple".
"Do you care about me?", Tarana asked directly and he stared deeply at her while responding in a straight tone, "Yes, I care about you".
"Is this why you brought me here?", Tarana asked again and a hope to get his love in return ignited in her heart.
"Yes", Avyaan's reply was short.
"But you don't love me. You can do and will do anything to cage me with you, in your world but you will never openly accept me, and my love. I don't need your care. To you, your care is important, important enough to pull me into your life like this, but not enough to be honest? If you truly care, then stop treating me like a pawn in your game. What do you want me to tell my parents? What will I tell them about you.. me and us?", Tarana crossed her arms around her chest as the sensation of his lips and the warmth of those kisses were still burning her lips.
Avyaan took a step closer and the air between them charged with tension, "I don't want to play games, Tara".
"You are not honest", Tarana murmured coldly as her gaze was unwavering.
Avyaan grabbed her wrist and pulled her closer to him. His eyes burned with intensity and he leaned in as his face was just inches from hers.
"Honest or not. Love or not. Care or not", He growled and his voice was low and fierce as he continued to stare deeply into her eyes and said, "Fit my words in your brain who live in a fictional world that 'I, Avyaan Khadka', 'The King of Scorpion Satan,' don't play games with the woman I choose to spend the rest of my life with".
Tarana felt the heat of his body and the weight of his presence surrounding her.
His declaration and the weight of his words hung in the air and for a moment, she was taken aback by his conviction. Her eyes widened and heart accelerated wildly
Avyaan released her wrist but kept his gaze locked on hers as he said, "My world is ruthless, Tara. I can't let you get hurt because of my choices. But make no mistake- I want you by my side. I need you to understand that this isn't a game for me. It's a commitment".
Her heart accelerated as she could see the sincerity in his eyes and the struggle behind his fierce exterior. But could she trust him fully?
"Then prove it", She challenged softly as she was not in the mood to back out.
But Avyaan didn't respond to her challenge. Instead, he turned and walked back toward the door of the operation theatre as his expression was unreadable.
Tarana watched him go and a mixture of frustration and amusement bubbling up inside her. She chuckled softly to herself while shaking her head at the stubbornness of the man who did not like to open his heart in front of her.
She settled back into her seat while her mind was racing as she waited for news about Sunaina's operation.
The atmosphere in the hospital was heavy but Tarana's thoughts drifted between concern for her friend and the complexities of her relationship with Avyaan.
'How could a man so powerful be so blind to the emotional turmoil he was causing?', She thought as she sat there and thought about Sunaina who was strong and Tarana had faith that she would pull through.
'But what about Avyaan?'
She couldn't shake the feeling that their paths were entwined in ways they both couldn't fully understand yet.
The operation was a success and the news spread quickly among the members of Scorpion Satan.
Sunaina slowly regained consciousness the next day and her eyelids fluttering open to the harsh lights of the hospital room.
As her vision adjusted, she saw familiar faces surrounding her, Tarana was sitting beside her and a relieved smile breaking through her worried demeanor, and Avyaan leaning against the wall as his arms were crossed as he had a stern look etched across his face.
"Naina! How are you feeling now?", Tarana said softly and her voice was warm yet tinged with concern as she said, "You had us all on edge".
Sunaina blinked, "What happened?". Her was croaked and her throat was dry.
"You had surgery on your lower side belly. You are going to be okay", Tarana replied in a light tone.
Sunaina's mind raced as she remembered the chaos that led to her being here.
"Any news about Divita?", Sunaina asked and there was an urgency flooding her voice.
Tarana stared at her and didn't understand how to handle her.
Avyaan straightened and he stepped closer to Sunaina. His hands held Sunaina's cheeks and said, "You should take care of yourself, Naina. Your brother is alive now. He can handle everything".
Sunaina's heart softened and thumped at Avyaan's statement.
Avyaan took a deep breath and said, "Not yet, but we're working on it. Kian is tracking down her connections with the Python gang. We will find her, don't worry".
Sunaina took a deep breath and said in her first language, "Bhā'i, yō mērō antima cōṭi hō. Ma pratijñā garchu ki yō dōsrō paṭaka hunēchaina.
(Brother, this is the last time I get hurt. I promise it won't happen a second time)
"I don't want to see you sad. It hurt Naina", Sunaina said and Avyaan's heart softened as he stared at her pale face, "Good to hear and you need to rest. You've just had major surgery".
Sunaina smiled as she looked at him and then at Tarana and tried to change the topic because neither she could against her brother nor she could spare Divita at this moment.
"Finally, you guys are together! Both of you look amazing together. When is your wedding?", Sunaina exclaimed and her voice was ringing out in the tense atmosphere.
Jaikesh's eyes popped out as he heard Sunaina's word. He knew about Tarana's feelings for Avyaan but he knew that Avyaan had a black heart and there was no color of love in it.
Avyaan and Tarana both frozen and were startled by Sunaina's sudden comment.
Avyaan's eyes widened as he asked in sharp tone, "What are you talking about?*.
Tarana looked down as she tried to hide her disappointments as well as her crimson cheeks as she fumbled, "Naina! There is nothing like this. You should focus on your health and recovery first".
Sunaina leaned forward and her expression was serious. "It should be! You both have been through so much, and if you care about each other, you need to address it. You can't just ignore it because of the chaos around us".
Avyaan's jaw tightened, "You are talking too much right now".
Tarana's heart raced as she absorbed the weight of the situation and Avyaan's expression and his icy words.
Sunaina's gaze softened slightly, "You guys are problematic hearts and complicated brains. You can't wait for the perfect moment because it may never come. Take quick actions like me".
Avyaan sighed, rubbing the back of his neck in frustration, "Naina! I got it".
His words startled Tarana as he continued to speak, "Right now, all I can think about is keeping you and everyone else safe".
Avyaan took Tarana's hand and it was enough from his side and his small gesture was like an announcement.
Tarana's eyes widened. Jaikesh was stunned with the scorpion Satan members who were speechless and others were excited to see their King holding the hand of a woman who love him deeply enough to not care about herself.
Sunaina's smile deepened as her heart was at peace with the scene, "Finally".
Brother! I am happy", Sunaina said and she opened her arms widely and Avyaan took her in his embrace.
"Brother! I have a task to complete tomorrow so....", Sunaina began to speak but Avyaan's expression hardened and his protective instincts kicked in as he understood where Sunaina's buttering was going, "You're not well enough to go anywhere. I won't risk losing you".
Sunaina met his gaze and a fire was burning in her eyes, "But I have to protect my Angel. There are so many butterflies who are daring and dreaming to steal my man".
The tension in the room thickened and at this moment, a mixture of brotherly concern and sisterly defiance filled the air.
Avyaan knew he couldn't hold her back, but he wanted to protect her at all costs.
"You are not going anywhere. You will not put your feet outside of this private room of yours and it's your elder brother's command for you, Naina", Avyaan said, more like a command, causing Sunaina to pursed her lips tightly.
"Fine", She relented, her voice was low and steady.
"Naina, you are the Devil of Scorpion Satan, and we will make sure everyone knows that you're not to be messed with", Avyaan said and Sunaina nodded her head but her brain was already executing her next steps.
The next two days, Avyaan kept a close watch on Sunaina with hawk-like intensity and made sure every detail of her recovery was handled. He even took care of her child and displayed a side of himself that few got to see.
When the day of her discharge finally came, Sunaina made a deliberate choice. She sent Tarana off with Avyaan in one car and left herself to travel separately.
As they drove away, Sunaina's mind raced with plans. Halfway through the journey, she instructed Nora, T-Rex and the driver to turn in a different direction, knowing exactly where she needed to go.
Sunaina had something else in mind and something she didn't want Avyaan or Tarana involved in just yet.
Another car full of Scorpion Satan members followed her on Avyaan's command who knew that his stubborn sister would not sit calmly and would definitely do something like this.
Sunaina went straight to the Khanna mansion. As soon as she entered the party hall, she heard an announcement that made the Devil inside her wake up.
The part of her she had kept quiet was now fully alert. She knew, she was going to do something big, and she was ready for its consequences as well.
