Chapter 48) Anniversary Party

Published on:- 1/9/24 [Sunday]
..

The grand anniversary party took place at the luxurious KHANNA Mansion.

The mansion was a sight to behold, with its grand entrance and beautifully lit surroundings.

High-profile guests arrived in their best attire, stepping out of luxury cars onto a red carpet that led to the grand doors of the mansion.

Photographers lined the carpet and were capturing every glamorous moment.

Inside, the mansion was decorated with sparkling chandeliers and elegant floral arrangements.

The sound of soft music played in the background as guests mingled and were enjoying drinks served by attentive staff.

The media was there in full force and cameras were flashing and reporters were moving through the crowd as they were eager to capture the highlights of the evening.

The atmosphere was lively and full of excitement, with guests chatting, laughing, and toasting to the occasion.

The dance floor was ready, with a live band playing music to set the mood, and a DJ prepared to keep the party going late into the night.

It was a celebration of Neil Khanna and Aashmaan Khanna's anniversary party and it was an unforgettable night at KHANNA Mansion.

On the other side of the party hall, five middle aged men who were also brothers first then business partners were looking at their spouses, children and grandchildren.

These five middle aged men were Arjun Kashyap, Davis Grey, Daniel Miller and Rudra Singh Rathore with Neil Khanna

These first generation possessive Alpha males stood near a grand window that overlooked the mansion's beautifully lit gardens, talking and laughing as they savored the evening.

Each of them had a drink in hand and toasted to share their successes and the bond they had built over the years.

Khanna, Kashyap, Grey, Miller and Rathore families were gathered and enjoying the night together. Their spouses, children and grandchildren were busy in the conversation and added warmth in the moment.

The atmosphere around them was relaxed and joyful and a contrast to the formalities elsewhere in the hall.

They shared stories, joked about old times, and discussed their future plans and all while basking in the glow of the celebration.

"Nini! Which date anniversary are you celebrating today? The flash marriage day or the court marriage one?", Davis Grey asked, teasing Neil with a mischievous grin.

Neil rolled his eyes with a smirk as he was used to his brother's playful jabs and now, he was too old to show any reaction to this nickname which always irritated him a lot.

"Depends on which one you think deserves more gifts," Neil shot back and his tone was just as playful, making the group laugh even louder.

"Life flies by so quickly that I never noticed when my hair turned grey," Davis said with a weak sigh and his voice was tinged with a touch of nostalgia.

"That's because Danny, Rudra, and you are older than us. Neil and I are still young," Arjun teased with a grin.

Davis, Rudra and Daniel frowned slightly at Arjun's words as their lips were pressed together in displeasure.

Looking at their expressions, Arjun added, "Just look at our bouncy, wet and thick hair. Jaan loves to play with mine" , While running a hand through his hair with a playful smirk.

"Who said we're old? I'm still young and stronger than this generation," Daniel shot back with a proud grin as he flexed his arm slightly to make his point.

"Yeah! Sunshine never pays attention to my pepper and white hair," Davis added with a soft smile while brushing a hand through his salt-and-pepper strands as if it was no big deal.

After this, Arjun, Neil, Davis, and Daniel turned their gaze to Rudra, who was looking back at them with a curious expression.

"What?", Rudra asked his brothers while raising an eyebrow.

"You guys want me to say something too?", Rudra added as there was a hint of amusement in his voice.

They nodded their heads like children, causing Rudra to chuckle loudly.

"Alright, alright," Rudra said with a grin, clearly enjoying the playful interaction.

"Do you think a girl who married me on short notice, even after knowing it was a trap marriage for her, will find any flaws in me? Who still calls me Babe, has fetish of my hands and legs, always push my limits, tease me shamelesy in front of our grandchildren. She is my Kore and I don't have a word to say about her wildness and love for me", Rudra Singh Rathore said while reflecting on the past and his wife, DurgaShakti.

His voice carried a mix of nostalgia and introspection and revealed the depth of his feelings and the significance of their bond.

Neil Khanna, Arjun Kashyap, Davis Grey and Daniel Miller all looked at Rudra Singh Rathore as they understood that they were fortunate to have a second chance to make things right with their own wives and were able to build a happy home and family.

At this moment, they shared a moment of silent camaraderie and recognised the opportunity they had been given to redeem themselves and cherish their relationships more deeply.

"But truth be told, to me, Aashmaan is still a twelve years old kiddo. Sometimes, I find it strange to think that she's a grandmother now," Rudra said and his voice was carrying a hint of disbelief and affection.

"Same here. She's our lost Aashi, the youngest among our family members," Arjun agreed and his tone was filled with fondness and a touch of nostalgia.

Listening to Arjun's words, Neil smiled warmly and he said, "My Angel gave me a home, two sweet and beautiful kids and always supported me a lot".

Neil's voice filled with gratitude and warmth.

Davis Grey and Daniel Miller rolled their eyes as they recalled the many times they had to clean up the messes Neil created in the past. They had taken care of him like a lost child, even dealt with his drunken antics and cleaning up after him. The memories were a mix of exasperation and fondness, highlighting the depth of their friendship.

Neil could sense Daniel and Davis' gazes as he deliberately ignored them and he could feel their silent judgment.

Meanwhile, Arjun Kashyap had something different in mind for Neil.

"Yes, Yes, she supported you by not knowing how you used to call her 'duck face girl'", Arjun said with a smirk.

Neil's eyes widened in surprise as he realized that Arjun had brought up one of his more embarrassing nicknames for Aashmaan from the past.

"Duck face girl?".

A soft feminine voice startled them.

They turned around to see Aashmaan was standing there with Nilay, who was nervously taking deep breaths as he knew his father was about to face some trouble.

"Brother Arjun! Is it true?", Aashmaan questioned Arjun who closed and opened his mouth and did not know how to answer Aashmaan.

Aashmaan glared at Neil and said, "I'll deal with you after the party. I don't want to ruin my children's hard work."

She stomped her feet and left the first generation possessive Alpha males there.

"Ooppss! Brother! Little Angel is angry now," Daniel Miller teased Neil as he had a playful grin on his face.

"Don't you have any shame? You're talking about your in-law," Neil growled as he was clearly annoyed.

The others laughed at his reaction and found it humorous in the situation.

"Okay! Now tell us the truth. What's the reason for this grand party? We, brothers, never celebrate our special days with outsiders," Arjun Kashyap asked Neil, who took a deep breath before answering.

"Is this grand party because today is your 35th wedding anniversary?" Daniel Miller asked Neil.

Neil shook his head and replied, "Kind of."

"It means, you are using this anniversary party for something else?", Rudra Singh Rathore asked and they all looked at Neil with questioning eyes.

Before Neil could respond to his brothers, a house staff member came in and said, "Boss! Mr. Arora is looking for you."

"Let's go to the main party hall," Neil told his brothers, who now felt a sense of unease in their hearts.

***

In the main party hall, standing at the center of the stage with his wife Aashmaan, Neil Khanna had a joyous smile on his lips.

As Neil Khanna stood at the center of the stage with his wife Aashmaan by his side, he took a deep breath and began his thank-you speech. The room fell silent, all eyes on him.

"Good evening, everyone," Neil started and his voice was filled with emotion.

"I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for being here tonight. Your presence means more to me than words can express.", Neil paused while glancing at Aashmaan, who smiled encouragingly.

"Tonight, we celebrate not just a milestone, but the journey we've shared together. I'm incredibly grateful for my wonderful wife, Aashmaan, who has been my rock and my greatest supporter. Your love and strength have been the foundation of everything we've achieved.", Neil said and looked around the room as his eyes met with his friends and colleagues and continued to speak, "To my friends and my colleagues, thank you for standing by me, for your unwavering support, and for all the laughter and memories we've created together. This party is not just about marking an anniversary but about celebrating the relationships and bonds we cherish."

Neil took a deep breath, his smile widening. "A special thank you to my brothers and my families. I am truly blessed to have each of you in my life. Thank you brothers and sisters. Without you guys, Neil Khanna is nothing. Thank you all for making this evening so special."

As Neil finished, the room erupted in applause, the warmth and gratitude in his voice resonating deeply with everyone present.

"And now, I have a special announcement for you all. Today is not just my wedding anniversary. Here and now, my son is also getting engaged.", Neil said and dropped a heavy bomb on Nilay whose mind went blank the moment he heard his father's last line.

"Nilay Khanna is going to get engaged to Masoom Arora"

Neil finished speaking and his words made everyone happy except for Aashmaan, Nilay, Nishma with Kashyap, Grey, Miller and Rathore families who were bewildered by the sudden announcement.

Nilay stared blankly at his father, trying to process what he had just heard.

'I have an engagement today? With the daughter of Dad's friend's daughter named Masoom?', Nilay's head buzzed as he realized he was standing on the stage with a velvet box in his hand and was unsure of how he got there.

Everyone clapped while looking at the couple, but the Kashyap, Grey, Miller, and Rathore families were puzzled by the situation.

Masoom was about to slide the engagement ring onto Nilay's finger when suddenly the lights went out, plunging the hall into deep darkness.

"What's wrong with the electricity?" Neil's voice boomed through the darkness as he searched for his wife. "Love, baby Aashmaan, stay with me," he called out, but received no response from her.

Suddenly, the electricity returned, and Neil Khanna turned around to search for his wife. However, she was nowhere to be found.

Nilay and Masoom were still on the stage. Nilay left her there and started searching for his mother.

"Aashmaan!" Neil called out in panic, and everyone began searching for her.

"Let's search inside the mansion. I'll send my team outside," Arjun Kashyap said to his brothers.

Then Davis Grey, Arjun Kashyap, Daniel Miller, and Rudra Singh Rathore immediately began their search for Aashmaan as their faces filled with concern.

Nilay and Nishma stood beside their father, deeply worried for their mother, who had memory issues.

Suddenly, Nilay's phone began ringing. He checked it and saw that his mother was calling him. He showed the phone screen to his father and sister before quickly answering the call.

"Mom! Where are you? Dad is worried about you," Nilay said and his voice was filled with concern.

"Nilu! I'm inside the mansion, on the other side of the party hall," Aashmaan said calmly.

Everyone quickly ran to the other side of the party hall, only to find a shocking tornado was waiting for them.

Neil, Nilay, and Nishma, along with the Kashyap, Miller, Grey, and Rathore families, were staring in shock at the scene before them.

Nilay was stunned, and Neil's eyes hardened when they heard, "Pookie! Swagat nahi karoge Mera?" [Won't you welcome me?]

"Sunaina," Nilay murmured softly and his voice was trembling as his heart skipped a beat at her sudden and unexpected appearance.

What shocked him even more was the sight of his mother being held hostage.
