"Obsessed with the way,
you make me feel."
ANGEL
..
Sunaina's attention drifted from the TV screen to the door as she said, "Enter", and then Jaikesh entered the room.
"Buba! What's the matter?", Sunaina asked him who informed her, "Princess! King is here".
Sunaina's eyes widened slightly and immediately turned red and surrounded by unshed tears as she forgot about Nilay and ran out of the room to meet her brother.
Jaikesh glanced at the screen and said, "You are a nice man. I hope you will treat our princess fairly because I know her. She will not stop here. It's just a first step of her towards you".
Jaikesh closed the door and walked away only to find that Sunaina was crying loudly in the embrace of her brother.
He was startled by the scene because Sunaina was tough and never cried over anything. Jaikesh immediately approached them.
"Brother! He rejected me again", She complained to him.
Avyaan's eyes dimmed as his knuckles turned white.
"Naina! Tell me. At your one command and he will be here", Avyaan said while rubbing her back.
Sunaina wiped her nose and sniffed as she responded, "No, I don't want anyone to touch him, and remember he is your brother-in-law. You have to take care of him".
Avyaan's eyes narrowed at her words. He ignored her words and carefully took her hand and found bruises on it. His heart clenched at the sight.
"Naina! Don't do anything that will get you hurt. I won't be able to tolerate it", Avyaan said as his thumb made circles over her wrists.
"Brother!", Sunaina knew that her brother was the only family she had.
Avyaan took her seat on the sofa as he knelt before her and again took both hands in his own, "I still remember the day when I first saw you. You were small like a lamb. I like hearing you calling your name Chu-naina. But our life drastically changed when father died and I took over the throne of Empire".
Sunaina blinked her eyes as she listened to him carefully, "What do you want to say, brother?".
Avyaan looked deeply at her and began to say, "You are the only one whom I trust with my life and also with the Empire. Father trained you with me. Your training was tougher and more brutal than mine. You accepted us- Father and me and this world. You were not scared of blood, guns, thorns, and enemies".
Sunaina looked straight into his eyes and said, "Because we are a family".
Avyaan's eyes softened at her childlike face as he continued to say, "Yeah! But you know that I never interfere in your life. You made some hasty decisions and put your life at risk when I was in the hospital".
Sunaina squeezed his hand and Avyaan questioned her again, "Can you tell me how you know about the location of my accident? How can you be so accurate and why your friend?".
Sunaina's eyes never looked away from his eyes. Avyaan waited patiently for her reply.
"We both have known each other since childhood and I trust you the most", Avyaan's voice was merely a whisper.
Sunaina's eyes brimmed with tears as she said, "Instinct. It was my instincts that made me call Tara because I trusted her. She had seen the darkest, cruelest, and wildest side of me. She never leaves me because I am the sister of a mafia King. She stays with me even after knowing that I'm a devil princess".
Avyaan nodded and again waited for her to complete her sentence.
"And also because she loves you", Sunaina said and Avyaan's heart skipped a beat. He stared at her blankly.
"Her eyes speak a lot", Sunaina said and Avyaan's brows furrowed slightly as he said, "Don't change the topic".
Sunaina blinked her eyes, a deep sigh escaped from her mouth as she responded, "It was the same instincts I was getting since my childhood. The same intuition I got when I was about to get kidnapped by the enemies and my instincts told me to hide in a house and I did it".
Avyaan's eyes widened at the revelation because, after a long time, Sunaina mentioned the past.
She smiled warmly as she asked him, "Do you know whose house it was?".
"It was Nilay's maternal grandparent's house", Sunaina said and Avyaan was speechless.
"I was hidden in the darkness, behind a pillar. Only a small ray was illuminating there. No one could see me because I was so small but I could see a big boy who looked like a football, rolling here and there in the house", Sunaina said and laughed.
"You know brother. He looked really cute when he was a child but now, he looks handsome", Sunaina said and Avyaan's eyes turned red as he said in a grumpy tone, "Are you done with his appraisal song?".
Sunaina scratched her neck awkwardly and then he asked her, "That was why you studied intuitionism [Intuition psychology]?".
Sunaina nodded her head and said, "My instincts never failed me. It is like a shield to me".
"Why Nilay Khanna?", Avyaan questioned her and She replied instantly, "Because I love him".
"You love him but he rejected you. Now, you are crying because of rejection when you can make your own Harem", Avyaan said bluntly, causing her to choke her saliva at his words as she thought, 'Her harem?'.
"Brother! I want only him", Sunaina said Listening to her, he could not stop himself from asking, "You love him and also want him. It's not because of your intuition?"
She chuckled as she shook her head, "I can easily kill my heart if ever it falls in love with the wrong man but my conscience told me that once Nilaya holds my hand, he will never let go."
"Are you sure your gut feelings will not disappoint you?", Avyaan asked her and She chuckled, "Because of my sixth sense, you are alive, brother but yes, credit goes to Tara. I could not do anything without her".
Avyaan did not say a word as he stood up and started moving towards his room.
Sunaina looked at him and said loudly, "You should also listen to your intuition because it is wise to listen to it".
Avyaan did not stop there as he continued to walk and then entered the room.
He removed his coat and folded his shirt to the elbow. He turned on his laptop and attached a pen drive to it.
A video started streaming on the screen as he watched it with hawk-like eyes and after spending an hour in the same position, something was caught by his devilish eyes.
He dialed a number and the other party attended the call at first ring, "King".
"Let's do it", Avyaan said and disconnected the call.
On the other hand, Sunaina was unaware of Avyaan's step and was busy stalking her Angel who was lost and in pain and unbeknown to being watched.
Sunaina being Sunaina, started following Nilay around. She visited the exhibition center where Nilay showcased his artwork bought several of his paintings and arranged them in her bedroom.
She studied his art with an intensity that went unnoticed by most but was deeply significant to her. Each painting she purchased was carefully chosen as if she were collecting pieces of Nilay's soul.
Nilay, oblivious to Sunaina's quiet obsession, continued his work and he was unaware that someone was weaving him into the fabric of their life.
Sunaina's world became increasingly centered around Nilay and her thoughts were consumed by his art and the unspoken connection she felt.
At night, she would place his paintings around and feelfeelt a strange comfort in their presence.
Nilay's art was her solace and her secret, a connection only she knew existed.
Sunaina's life, once straightforward, now revolved around the silent and unseen thread that tied her to Nilay.
"Painting is quite interesting, but not more than playing with guns and bodies," Sunaina murmured as she stroked the paintbrush across a blank canvas and started a new painting.
Her hand moved with unpracticed precision and each brushstroke was shaky and messy.
As the color began to take shape on the canvas, a dark smile played on her lips.
Sunaina's mind wandered back to Nilay, the artist whose not only angelic heart but also painting had captivated her.
There was an innocence in his paintings and a purity she found both intriguing and foreign.
She wondered what he would think if he knew the truth about her, the real reason behind her obsession with him and his art.
Sunaina smiled and all she drew was two dots of brown color on a white canvas.
Her cheeks blushed slightly as she flew flying kisses to the two brown dots.
Back to Nilay, who searched for her but could not find her anywhere in the capital town.
The more Nilay searched, the more elusive she became. Nilay couldn't understand why she occupied his thoughts so completely.
Her presence was subtle, yet it left a deep impression on him, like a shadow that lingered long after the light had gone.
Frustration began to mount as days turned into weeks with no sign of her.
Nilay spent his evenings wandering in the city and hoping for a chance to encounter Sunaina but that never happened.
His work began to suffer and his creativity was stifled by the constant distraction.
'Where are you?', Nilay thought as he stared at the empty canvases that seemed to mock him.
Her absence was as palpable as her presence had been, and Nilay felt a strange sense of loss for someone he barely knew.
It was another day. Nilay took a few sips of coffee while staring outside of the café.
The bustling streets of the capital town moved around him, but his thoughts were elsewhere, lost in the enigma of the woman who had vanished without a trace.
The café was his usual haunt, a place where he often came to gather his thoughts, sketch new ideas, and also to meet his best friend Shlok who just returned from Delhi.
Shlok and Perna stared at him asconcernd was etched on their faces as they also learned about Sunaina's real name and her sudden disappearance too.
"Are you sure she didn't leave any clue or hint about where she might have gone?", Shlok asked as his brows furrowed.
Nilay shook his head and frustration was evident in his expression as he responded, "She misunderstood my words and left the house. I have searched everywhere and asked everyone but no one knows anything about her. It seems like she vanished into thin air".
"Show me her picture. I will ask in my circle", Perna asked and Nilay looked at her with stunned face.
Perna's eyes narrowed as she said, "What? Don't tell me that you don't have a single picture of her!".
Nilay did not respond but his expression and silence replied to her.
A soft sigh escaped from Shlok's mouth as he said, "You are an artist. Draw a painting of her".
Nilay did not say a word again.
Suddenly Perna asked him, tearing the silence and causing him to snap.
"Nilay! Do you like Sunaina?".
Shlok raised his brows as he glanced at Nilay and then at Perna.
Nilay's lips pursed tightly as he sat there stiffly.

A month later, Somewhere in the another city, in a dark and soundless room, he sat down coolly on a chair while his long slender fingers traced the cover of a book and his eyes were staring deeply at the orange color 'W' logo app on the screen of the phone.
Suddenly, the door of the bedroom opened and a person entered it and turned on the light, only to get the biggest shock of her life.
"Mr. Khadka?", Tarana spoke loudly as she lost her composure and calmness.
Avyaan stood up from his seat and took a few predatory steps towards her as he waved the book in front of her and said in a deep voice, "Egoistic Mafia's petite wife. What kind of messy books are you reading?".
Tarana's eyes widened at the sight of the book and the question he asked. She forgot about his unexpected presence in her bedroom and said hurriedly, "This book is not mine but your sister".
Avyaan chuckled darkly as he said, "My sister loves to play with guns, and now with her Angel, not with some faceless - fictional men".
Tarana's mouth turned dry as she did not know what to reply to him. Avyaan threw the book aside and showed the smartphone to her and said a sentence in a questioning and answering tone as if he was mocking her, "Using mother's twenty years dumb phone to fool the world but also has a secret smartphone. That's nice".
Tarana's heart freezes at his words.
Avyaan had a snickering smile dancing on his lips as he stared at her frozen face and widened eyes.
He shot another question, "This phone has no other apps except this orange color 'W'. What is the meaning of this orange color 'W'?".
Tarana did not open her mouth. Just stood there blankly. Avyaan's hawk-like eyes never left her as he changed his question and asked, "What is Wattpad?".
Tarana's heart dropped down at this last question.
