🍀DOUBLE UPDATE🍀

...

In the dark cellar of an abandoned warehouse, outside of the delhi, A knife was dangling on her stomach and blood was dripping down from it.

Her hands were painted in red.

"You know what, you bitch. I want to pull out your heart at this moment but I am waiting for the correct time. Because Revenge is better when it is served cold but I want it coldest"

The antagonist of her life was saying but suddenly.

*Boomed*

A door banging sound and some bullet shooting sounds made them aware that they were running out of time.

Someone came to rescue her.

"Remember, Arika Kashyap; this is not the end. You are still a weakling who is nothing without the name of KASHYAP".

That antagonist was Mr. Taksh Oberoi; enemy of Arjun Kashyap and Rudra Singh Rathore. Takah spoke grittedly and then immediately left the cellar with son and his security.

Arika fell to her knees as she was bleeding heavily.

"Koohu?".

Nilay entered the cellar as he was injured as well but that didn't matter to him.

He continued to search for her and then he finally found Arika.

Arika turned around to see the familiar face. Then their eyes clashed and she smiled forcefully.

"You came?", Arika's tone was slightly disappointing and her aura was completely changed.

Nilay stared at her deep scrunching eyes that had completely changed and appeared different.

'Koohu', Nilay thought as he could sense that the girl who was standing before him was completely different.

Pain, anger, disappointment, rage, and revenge were there in those pitch-black stone orbs that always made her different but this difference could no one differentiate between those two same but different, strange black intense eyes.

"I've to", Nilay replied to her and observed her situation.

Arika was brutally beaten and had red, black, blue, and purple color patches on her face.

Nilay's heart constricted as he moved closer.

"But you are late", Arika said in a complaining tone as she arched her brows and bored her vision straight into Nilay's deep brown eyes.

Nilay nodded his head and knew that 'He was really late'.

She was hurt. He failed to protect her.

Nilay didn't know how to comfort her.

"But this is not the end", Nilay said softly and quickly sent an important code to both his uncles Arjun Kashyap and Rudra Singh Rathore.

Arika fell consciously to the ground.

Nilay rushed forward, but before he could reach her, someone hit him from behind.

He didn't fall. He composed himself.

But Instead, something inside him snapped.

Nilay turned around as his eyes were full of anger. Without thinking, he punched the man who attacked him.

Those men were Oberoi's men. Another person also came at him, but Nilay moved fast.

He grabbed the man by the collar and slammed him into the wall.

"For every drop of her blood spilled, I will make you drown in your own."

He fought like a storm. He was strong and wild and No one could stop him.

In just a few minutes, everyone around him was on the ground.

His chest was rising and falling fast. His fists were bloody. His face was cold. A shadow of Devil engulfed him.

"You came for my family. Now I will show you what the devil truly looks like".

Nilay Khanna was not just angry; he was dangerous. He was ruthless, like the silence before a deadly storm.

The kind of silence that made your skin crawl, that warned you something was coming; but never gave you enough time to run.

No one could touch his family and walk away safely.

He was Nilay Piyush Khanna;
A name that had both Rathore's royal blood and Khanna's devil soul.

"I don't forgive. I don't forget. I destroy."

That was the law he lived by.

Messing with him wasn't a mistake.
It was a death sentence.

A kick to the knee.

An elbow to the throat.

Blood spilled. Bones cracked.

He stood over them as his eyes were glowing with fury.

He killed the man and dropped like trash and walked back to Arika.

Gently, carefully, he scooped her into his arms. His hands were still stained with blood.

But his voice, when he spoke to her, was soft.

"I am here, Koohu No one will ever hurt you again. This time I failed. Forgive your brother", Nilay told her.

And suddenly his eyes opened as his breathings were fast. He rubbed his face while letting out a heavy breath.

That memory; memory of his past.

He hadn't thought about that night in so long, but now it played in front of his eyes like it happened just yesterday.

He turned around slowly, And then he saw her; His wife.

Sunaina's eyes fluttered open, soft and sleepy, like petals stirred by the wind. Her curious and gentle gaze met his.

"Pookie...?", she whispered in a little hoarse voice.

Nilay didn't speak right away. He moved closer and said, "Sleep".

Sunaina blinked slowly and was trying to shake off the sleep.

"What happened?", she asked him.

Nilay looked at her as his expression was unreadable for a moment.

Then, he sat down beside her and said calmly, "I saw something from the past. That's it".

She studied his face, sensing it wasn't just that.

"Something bad?", she asked gently.

"Something that changed me. That's it", He said and put his palm over her belly.

"But nothing matters now", He said.

Sunaina looked down at his hand resting gently on her belly. The way he said those words made her heart ache a little.

She placed her hand over his and entangled their fingers together.

"It matters to me. Because whatever it was, it made you who you are now. The man I love", she whispered.

Nilay didn't speak, but the way he leaned in and kissed her forehead said enough.

The past had its scars. But; this moment, this warmth was healing.

"Sleep now, Devil", he murmured.

"Only if you hold me tighter, my Angel", she replied with a small smile.

"Always", he said as he wrapped his arms protectively around her.

***

The soft light of the morning filtered through the curtains, causing Sunaina to stir slightly as she was still nestled in the sheets.

She blinked up at him as her eyes were still hazy.

"Where are you going?", she asked when she found Nilay was already half-dressed, buttoning up his shirt.

Nilay turned and walked back to her side.

"Nowhere without you. Get ready. We have an appointment with the doctor today, remember?", he said, brushing his fingers over her cheek.

Her hand went to her belly instinctively. The moment was quiet and peaceful, yet filled with unspoken questions.

"I am carrying twins, right?", She asked.

Nilay said gently, "You are thinking too much again. Twins or not. We will love our child. So focus on our happiness".

Sunaina gave him a sleepy smile.
"I just hope everything's okay".

"It will be. We will hear our baby's heartbeat today. That's all I want to focus on", he replied in a calm voice.

She nodded and slowly pushed herself up to sit.

"And my brother is coming too, right?", She said and Nilay's jaw tensed slightly but he didn't argue this time.

"Yes. He will be here when we return", He replied.

Sunaina caught the change in his expression and gave him a teasing smirk.

"Be nice, Pookie", She teased him.

He rolled his eyes but his lips twitched at the corners, "For you, Devil... always".

...

At The K&K Hospital:-

The cold gel on her belly made Sunaina flinch slightly, but she said nothing.

She lay quietly on the examination table as eyes were locked on the screen while her fingers were curled tightly around Nilay's hand.

The doctor adjusted the probe, and then;

Lub-dub... lub-dub... lub-dub...

The sound of heart beats filled the room.

One heartbeat.

Then another.

Two tiny, strong, rhythmic beats echoing through the monitor.

Sunaina's lips parted in a small gasp. Her eyes widened and then welled up with tears.

Her free hand moved instinctively to her stomach and then the reality hitting her all at once.

Two heartbeats. Two lives. Two little souls.

Her twins were back to her.

Nilay didn't speak, but his tight hold on her showed his silent support. He pulled her slightly into his side, holding her as if he'd never let go.

He looked at the screen, then at her.

"Nilay! Look at the monitor. My intuition was right. They are real. They are really here", she whispered as her voice was trembling.

Nilay leaned down and pressed his lips gently to her temple. "Yes, you were right. Our twins. They are back".

Her tears fell then, silently, but her bright smile stayed. Her fierce eyes held full of love for those tiny beans who were staying calmly inside her womb.

And Nilay also blinked a few extra times as he held her closer and tried hard to control himself.

"It's confirmed that Mrs. Khanna is carrying the twins and both fetuses are healthy and strong", the doctor said and Sunaina bit her lips harshly.

The doctor gave a soft smile and looked at Nilay and then said, "Mr. Khanna, there is one report that still needs to be collected from the diagnostic department. It will just take a few minutes".

Nilay nodded and said, "I will go get it".

He gave Sunaina's hand a gentle squeeze before stepping out of the room.

The room was quiet, filled with tension. The doctor sat across from Sunaina and looked uneasy.

"Mrs. Khanna, your pregnancy... it's very risky. If you continue with it, it could....", the doctor began gently.

But before he could finish, Sunaina pulled something from her handbag and placed it on the table with a cold clink.

A gun.

The doctor froze as his words caught in her throat.

Sunaina's eyes were sharp and unblinking.

"Don't say a single word to my husband. Not to him. Not to anyone from my family", she said calmly.

The doctor swallowed hard as hid hands were trembling slightly.
"But your life..."

Sunaina replied in a low tone, "I am not afraid to die. But I won't lose my babies again. So stay quiet. Do your job. Keep this between us".

"But this pregnancy is a threat on your life. You are not understanding...", the doctor said but Sunaina's cold gaze made him stunned and he chose to shut his mouth.

The doctor nodded slowly at the end. He fearfully looked at her and understood the warning behind Sunaina's calm and unreadable expressions.

Just then, the door opened and Nilay walked back in with the report in hand.

"Everything okay?", Nilay asked while glancing at both of them.

Sunaina smiled, sliding the gun back into her bag casually.
"Perfectly fine, Pookie. Let's go home. Did you take the medicine?", she said sweetly and asked about her medicine.

"Yeah! i have it", He said while stepping out of the chamber.

"Mrs. Khanna! Remember! You are still on bed rest. Mr. Khanna! Your wife is fragile. Please take care of her", Doctor finally said and took a deep breath.

Sunaina glared at the doctor but said nothing.

Nilay nodded as he glanced sideways at Sunaina. She held his arm and smiled softly, but something in her eyes was... different.

Too calm.
Too composed.

And Nilay Khanna knew his wife well; when Sunaina was too quiet, it meant her mind was screaming.

He didn't say anything right away. Instead, he opened the car door for her, watching as she slid in gracefully.

Once inside, he started the engine but didn't drive off.

His hand rested on the steering wheel while eyes were still on her.

"What did the doctor say when I wasn't there?", he asked casually but his voice was laced with suspicion.

Sunaina kept her gaze on the road ahead. "Doctor said I need rest. Nothing serious".

Nilay didn't speak. His knuckles tightened slightly over the steering. He didn't believe her.

But he didn't push either.

Inside, Sunaina was trying to breathe normally. Her hand rested on her stomach protectively.

'I won't cry. I won't break. I will fight for them... even if I have to fight with my death too. This time, I will not let my intuition win this round. I know what's going to happen and this time too I will win again', she thought.

Nilay's head thumped as he knew that Something was wrong.

And he was going to find out what.
