Angel's POV

I have no idea how long I've been on the Nemesis. But I don't really care, it's been great being able to play with another mini-con again. I have free rein of the ship, though Laserbeak or Soundwave are always with me. Currently we're all on the bridge and I chasing Laserbeak. As the ship is being repaired, it's shield from radar is down. I jump onto a console and tackle Laserbeak to the ground.

'No fair' he coos and I giggle.

'You are it' I tell him and take off. He takes off and circles and dives for me. I dodge and run between a pair of legs. When suddenly Soundwave grabs me. 'No! Let go!' I whine through our bond.

"Enough" he says using Megatron's voice and Laserbeak reconnects with him. He then puts me down and I pout as I sit down. Encase you're wondering, Soundwave and I have not reconnected since my arrival. Yes I can talk to him through his mind with our weaken bond. But I am not ready to reconnect the whole bond. Soundwave knows I've changed since we last meet, but isn't pushing me for an answer or to join the decepticons. Though Starscream hates that I am here and not a con.

Speaking of Starscream, here he comes now with Knockout. I wonder what they want. "Soundwave, Knockout has an update about Megatron" Starscream states. "Will you accompany us to the lab?" he asks. Soundwave nods and turns to me.

'You want me to come?' I ask and he nods. We follow Starscream and Knockout. As Starscream grumbles about me tagging along. As we near the lab I pick up two familiar scents. We enter the lab. I recognize the scents. Arcee and Bumblebee, but where are they? I start to sniff around the lab and the three cons ignore me. As they look at Megatron who is on life support.

"Knockout, if you would be so kind as to provide your expert medical opinion to Soundwave. For the historical record" Starscream says. My search leads me to a cable connected to the back of Megatron's neck. A cortical physic patch, but why? I start to follow the cable as Knockout starts to speak.

"Simply put, unaided, Megatron could remain in this deathless slumber forever" Knockout states. I find Arcee hiding with Bumblebee, who is connected to the cable. I cock my head as she points her blaster at me. She signals me to be quiet and I nod my helm and go over to Bumblebee. I nudge his servo and lay beside him.

"Our master would not have wanted to be seen this way, to stand idly by while he remains captive in his own body. It's not just" Starscream adds. I look at them to see Soundwave point to the brainwave scan.

"Brain-wave activity. Not evidence of consciousness, but merely of an endless dream from which Megatron may never wake" Knockout explains.

"Soundwave, we must face reality. Megatron is lost to us" Starscream tells him fawning sadness. I scowl how dare he do this, it isn't right. And Knockout helping him. I may not be a con, but everyone deserves a chance to live. Even a tyrant like Megatron.

"The only honorable option would be to show him mercy" Knockout states.

"A simple throw of the switch" Starscream adds.

"Quick, painless, compassionate" Knockout lists all the reasons they should take Megatron off life support.

"Ratchet, are you hearing this?" Arcee asks in a whisper.

"If Megatron perishes, Bumblebee's mind will remain separated from his body. Forever" Ratchet answers in a whisper. No not Bumblebee, I like Bumblebee. He always plays with me. I whine and Arcee shushes me. Why is Bumblebee risking his life doing this? Is someone else hurt? I need to know.

"Soundwave, do I take your silence to mean you concur with Knockout's medical expertise?" Starscream asks as he heads for the console. I see Soundwave looking around the room silently. Is he looking for me? "Speak now or forever hold your piece" he tells him going to flip the switch.

Suddenly Soundwave points to the cortical physic patch cable. Starscream frowns in confusion and picks it up examining it. "Scrap" Arcee mutters as she powers up her blaster. "Come on" she tells Bee and I nudge him. Silently begging for him to come back.

"Arcee, we have the formula! Disconnect Bumblebee now!" Ratchet says over the comm-link. Arcee disconnects Bumblebee and we wait for him to open his optics.

"Hurry Bee" she says. I place my front pedes on him and shake him as Starscream heads our way. Following the cable. Bumblebee's optics come back online and he looks at us. As Starscream spots us.

"Intruders!" he yells as a ground bridge appears behind us. Bumblebee grabs me. As Arcee points her blaster at Megatron.

"Allow me" she says and fires as Bee heads for the bridge.

'I will be back' I assure Soundwave just before Bee and I go through the bridge. Arcee following us. The ground bridge closes behind us.

"Whoa, you found Angel!" Jack exclaims as Bee puts me down.

"Sweet" Miko cheers and I see Optimus on a medical berth. I rush over and Bulkhead grabs me.

"No touching Angel, he has the plague" he tells me. And I see working on a cure. That's when I realize. Optimus has the cybonic plague and only Megatron knows the cure. No wonder Bumblebee risked his life. Bulkhead lets me go and I go join the humans as we all wait.

(Time skip)

"That's it, steady" Ratchet says as he helps Optimus sit up. The cure is working. Optimus is returning to normal. Everyone cheers and I roar happily wagging my tail.

"Please. Reserve the hero's welcome for my physician. And my scout" Optimus tells us. "Welcome home Angel" he says to me.

"I only did what you would have done for any of us" Bee buzzes modestly as the others cheer for him. Miko suggests a party. But it was time for the kids to return home. Bulkhead took Raf so that Ratchet could give Bee a check up. Arcee took Jack. I go to my room and lay on my berth wondering what Soundwave and Laserbeak are doing now?

(Nemesis) Third Persons POV

Soundwave is buffing Laserbeak as he thinks about his old mini-cons. The one's he'd lost. First Rumble, then his brother Frenzy. Then Ravage and he had lost Angel eons ago when the war started. She was the only one who refused to join the decepticons or autobots. She couldn't understand why there had to be sides as we all wanted the same thing. At least in the beginning, but war changes people.

'Sire sad' Laserbeak coos.

'I miss them' Soundwave says through their link. Laserbeak is the only one he talks to. But only mentally as he does not plan on breaking his vow of silence. And knows he can trust Laserbeak.

'So do I, why did Angel have to go?' Laserbeak asks.

'She has friends on both side, she must be worried about what caused the autobots to risk a cortical physic patch. Which they out-lawed' Soundwave states. 'She promised to be back' he assures him. 'Let us recharge' he adds and Laserbeak agrees. Reattaching to Soundwave and he lays down on the berth pulling up a photo of himself with all his mini-cons before the war. Before falling into recharge. Dreaming of a more peaceful time, before the war.
