"Where is Faye?" Theo asked.
"She's...on a mission to save Heaven," Liam answered. "At least, that's what she told us."
"I just got resurrected from Hell, and I don't even get to see my girlfriend? Am I still stuck in Hell?" Theo asked.
Liam rolled his eyes. "Be grateful we brought you back."
Faye, accompanied by Michael, an archangel, was on a mission to find Uriel, a fellow archangel. Archangels were messengers for God. They had a higher status than normal angels. Faye was an angel, but she volunteered to go down on Earth.
She wasn't the strongest angel ever, so she felt insecure up in Heaven. She never did much. She had a human to guide before, but she lost her human to the dark side.
The demon on her shoulder won them over. Faye would never forget Erica Reyes. She was sad to say that a demon had won her over. Deva lured Erica to the dark side much too easily. Since then, whenever they crossed paths, Deva would rub it in Faye's face. Faye was too ashamed to look at God or the other angels. God knew how she was feeling, but God never saw her as a mistake. God saw Faye as one of her beautiful creations, and God never made mistakes.
Uriel had gone missing for two months. God sent Faye and Michael on a quest to find him. Uriel was on earth, trying to find the Grim Reaper to talk about a mistake they made on a soul.
Suddenly, Uriel vanished. He never even made it to the Grim Reaper. Since then, chaos formed between Heaven and Hell. The two sides were at war. Hell was trying to defeat Heaven into submission, while Heaven was merely trying to drive Hell back down to where it belonged.
God had an inkling Hell had something to do with Uriel's disappearance. She wanted it dealt with before more angels started disappearing. Angels left a footprint that could be tracked through the use of their powers. It was similar to a carbon footprint that humans left. Faye and Michael had to go off the grid. Ghosts could easily access phone lines. There would bad and good ghosts in the world. The bad ones belonged to the side of Hell, while the good ones belonged to the side of Heaven.
Faye couldn't even call Liam to make sure they were all right. She hoped they were safe. All she knew was that Ghost Riders were in Beacon Hills and that Theo was back.
