Lori came to Scott, begging for help to find Brett who was missing. Faye was at home, torn between losing Theo for the second time and having help too many people in the pack.

After Lori found a clue her brother left her, they all headed to the tunnels, where they quickly figured out Brett was poisoned. Realizing they were running out of time, Liam ignored Scott and Malia and roared to let Brett know they were coming . But because Liam did so, he alerted Gerard and Monroe about their whereabouts. Scott ended up getting stabbed when Lori hit a trip wire.

Faye's body tingled. She knew someone was in trouble, and based on the power it emitted, she was positive it was Scott. She rushed out of the house, getting into her car to drive around. She wasn't a werewolf. She had enhanced smell, but it was no better than a werewolf. She fished for her phone while trying to drive safely, but she couldn't find it. She had never felt so useless before. Her power was healing, but she couldn't even find where Scott.

While Liam and Lori continued on after Brett, Scott and Malia realized that the hunter had to know these tunnels better than they do, and all signs pointed to Gerard. And if it was Gerard, then odds were Liam and Lori were heading into a trap.

Faye could smell blood, and she knew it was Scott's. She rushed into the tunnels, finding Scott with a stab wound and Malia attempting to take his pain away. She rushed over to Scott and placed one hand on Scott, then the other on Malia, healing both of them. It quickly drained her energy, causing her to pass out.

Malia flexed her hand, looking down at Faye's unconscious body. "Well, I feel better."

Liam and Lori eventually found Brett, but when Liam offered to stay behind to fight off the hunters while they got to safety, he realized there was no one there. And by the time he got back to Lori and Brett, it was too late. They made it to the street only to be hit by a truck. Lori survived, but Brett did not. Liam shifted in front of a large group of people, while Gerard and Monroe look on. That was his plan all along. If Gerard wanted to build an army to hunt werewolves, the best way was through fear.

Humans seeing Liam shift only made them afraid. They now had proof with their own eyes that the supernatural was real, and they wanted nothing to do with it.
