Three- Welcome to the Darkside
(A/N Hope this covers more debt, Quietcove!)
I sat in a seat. A long line of seats went down a hall, just a singular line. I slouched in my seat and stared ahead. This room was all gray, like the Sorting Chambers. Actually, I heard this was part of the Sorting Chambers. It was gloomy. A small long strip of room, with a tiny stage. I didn't get the design, it was like a really long skinny closet.
"Welcome everyone," A person walked on the stage. They wore the same thing everyone else did, simple white and black. I didn't really focus on their appearances, they didn't matter.
"Can we just get this over with?" Lafayette asked.
"Alright," The person smiled, and walked over towards the start of the line.
I was at the end of the line of chairs. So I would hopefully have at least a minute to daydream.
"Darkside," The person said, tapping Lafayette's forehead.
Lafayette smacked the persons hand away, then went to stand on the stage with the other Darksiders.
"Angel, Angel and Angel," They pointed to the Schuylers.
"I know, I AM an angel," The one I think was named Angelica said, flipping her hair, making everyone non-Darkside laugh.
The person was halfway down the line when they suddenly turned towards me. I glared at them.
"Darkside," He pointed at me. "I can sense it from here."
I sighed and pushed myself up, walking towards Lafayette as people cast me suspicious looks.

I flopped down on the bed in my dorm. Apparently I wasn't allowed to leave and go home. I call this kidnapping. I have to fill out some paper work now, so I grabbed a pencil and the packet of work.
You must make an excuse for why you have disappeared from home. We have a list of options to choose from, and whichever you choose we will inform your family and friends about;
You died. (Please specify how)
You ran from home. (Please specify why)
You where kidnapped.
You are lost.
Other:
Wow. What interesting paperwork. I circled "You died", and wrote;
I was murdered by a fellow student.
There. That sounded real. Maybe it would cause some chaos back at home.
I continued on the paperwork until it was done, then tossed it aside and looked around. My room was black, perfect, it had a singular twin bed just for me. I was glad this school did not do dorm buddies. I had a small bathroom attached to my room, too, so that was nice.
I had a dresser as well, and a bookshelf, plus a bedside table. All where the same shade of brown, like nobody ever bothered to paint them. The wall next to the bed had tally marks on it, so many marks I would guess three thousand-ish. Wow, I wonder if that was days, weeks, months or years. Maybe it was a million different students, every student to live here? I would never know.
I opened the dark bag I had been handed and rummaged through the supplies.
Uniform, great. Water bottle. A flip phone?! Five notebooks. A box of pencils. A twenty dollar bill, yay. And more things I was not going to look at. Suddenly there was a loud buzzing sound and I jumped in surprise, almost fell of my bed.
"Darkside Academy students are required to meet at the auditorium in thirty minutes, you are required to be wearing your uniform. I wish you a terrible day." The loud speakers said.
Hah, seemed like something I would say if I we're in charge of the loud speakers. I stood up to go and get ready, secretly hoping there would be an assembly about letting me go home.

I walked through the halls. They where small halls, probably saving the teachers more space for classrooms. I pushed past a couple people, and then felt something tap my shoulder. I looked over to see that Lafayette guy. Dark skinned, fuzzy hair, french accent.
"Hey," He said nervously.
I turned around, ignoring him.
"Um- so I wanted to be you're friend. I know this popular guy, he's been offering me some protection from other people. I thought you might want some protection as well," He said, following me. He was obviously lying, I could hear it in his voice.
"I'm fine," I hissed.
"Non! I mean, non, you need to be my friend," He blurted.
"Why?" I questioned, not taking my eyes off of the hallway ahead of me.
"Uh-" He started, obviously not knowing how to explain. "Lets just say its related to my powers."
I glared at him, then shook his hand in acceptance. I guess I might as well get a friend, and if his powers somehow told him to be my friend, that's good enough for me. He glared back, I noticed that about a lot of students here, they don't smile or wave. They frown and punch. There eyes don't brighten, they fill with determination and anger.
"Well, friend, whats your power?" I asked and we continued down the hall.
"I can see things you can't," He shrugged.
"Like what?" I questioned.
"I can't tell you, for the same reason that I need to be your friend," He said unhelpfully.
"Okay," I grunted, still curious but not wanting to waste more time.
We reached the auditorium together, where a dude named Thomas joined us. He was insanely tall, about my skin color, brown hair in a ponytail like everyone else. I don't remember ponytails being part of the dress code, but almost everyone had one. I liked Thomas. He was like me, don't care who you are or how anyone feels, wants to be out of this mess, ready to fight back. Gets into unnecessary fights.
I also did enjoy Lafayette. We could speak French to each other, and he would do this thing that whenever someone approached our trio he would walk slower, and backwards, making sure nobody would attack us from behind. I still didn't figure out his power, but I learned Thomas's was enhanced senses.
We took our places in the dark shadows at the back of the auditorium, all of us where almost equally as annoyed at being here. Although I feel like I was winning in being the most grumpy.
"I get that you don't want to be here," Someone said as they walked on the large black stage, the audience quieted. "Well, I don't either."
Most laughed, me and my new "friends" disliked it here so much we decided not to laugh, maybe it would make the guy feel sad that we didn't like his joke.
"King George is my name," He said.
"King George?" Someone in the crowd scoffed.
"Well, really, its George king. But call me King George, or your dead to me," The man threatened. That got everyone quiet. "This," He gestured to the auditorium, "Is Darkside."
I looked around. In total I counted about a hundred people here, a surprisingly low amount.
"You will learn here, mostly about your powers. How to control them. Those who are successful, get their names placed on that board," King pointed at a large black board behind him. "Ten people make it on that board. The top five out of those ten are guaranteed to be a successful villain."
The students stared at the board, as if it would make their names appear on the board in white chalk. I honestly couldn't care less, although Thomas Jefferson over here seemed very interested.
"We have monthly meetings with Angel Academy. It is a time to try and convince the other school's members to join the Darkside. They will try and take you away from us at these meetings, but if you abandon us, your punishment will be severe. They don't punish their students, but here we establish obedience and a sense of power. We must not give into them!" King instructed with a bit of applause.
"There is a yearly fight against them as well. At the end of the year, instead of a final assessment, we fight in the woods. If you kill, sadly, you must be punished. You must simply knock them out. Once you knock out an Angel, you continue on. Whoever's side wins gets the trophy. Darkside has won for the past fifteen years, because those Angels are weak," King smiled, showing off a large case of large shiny trophies behind the black board, some trophies had blood on them.
"Angel's may try to talk to you, but ignore them. If you are caught talking with anyone from Angel Academy, and you are not trying to convince them to join us, you will face the ultimate punishment," King slowed his voice and lowered it for dramatic affect at the last part.
"As a first class, everyone here will report to the field," King decided, then randomly jumped off the stage and walked away, his black cape flowing behind him.
The students waited for a minute in confusion. Where is the field? Are we supposed to leave right now?
"Hurry up idiots!" I heard a shout from King, he wasn't visible to the eye, probably down the hallway.
I stood up and walked down the stairs that had led up to our seats. It was so dark I could barely see where each step was, so I tripped and almost fell down the stairs. But, somehow, an extra limb popped out of me and I re-gained balance.
I looked at my side and saw a thick dragon tail holding me up just before I went bouncing down the stairs and crashed into the students like a bowling ball. Once I was steady and standing up-right, my tail disappeared. I looked back at my "Friends". They hadn't noticed.
I kept going on like nothing happened.
