Twelve
The old truck growled as we drove through the streets. I stared out the window taking in the landscape. It was quite nice.. not the most pretty place I've ever seen but that's not the point. The green trees stood tall and proud slightly leaning over the road to form and arch. Slowly I rolled down the window and took in the cool breeze. Castiel looked over in my direction a confused expression planted on his face.
"Don't you like the breeze? I mean this is really nice" I couldn't help but giggle as my hair tossed around in the air.
"It's just oxygen" he turns down a small street.
"Well I guess your right.. but there's something about it.. it gives me a warm feeling" I wish he could understand. Maybe I just wasn't explaining it well enough. But the breeze was just so perfect that it filled my heart with happiness and made my whole body warm. Cas had responded with a mumble even I couldn't understand. I enjoyed the rest of the ride.
He parked the truck behind a small silver Honda. The comforting breeze had disappeared completely as I stared at the warehouse not so far from us. If I had to imagine a home for a pack of werewolves it would look exactly like this. Some ivy grew on the walls and the paint was chipping off. The plants that were once alive around it were now wilted and dead.
"This is the place" Cas looked over at me and got out of my truck.
"I guess so.." I walked over to the bed of the truck and opened a box. I grabbed out my silver bullets and my favorite a huge silver sword. Cas grabbed some supplies as well and we walked over to the warehouse. To make sure they wouldn't know we were coming we rubbed mud all over our selves and used a spray. The spray is a receptor over-loader which fills an animal's nose with so many smells that their brain decides to ignore the smells. Fully masked from the werewolves inside we would have to split up.
"Don't get hurt Cas.. stay safe" I placed my hands on his shoulders. He smiles and reassures me that he will be alright.
"If you need my help.. just call out" he looks into my eyes.
"Okay" I smile and plant a kiss against his lips. He blushes up and holds me against his chest for sometime. I take in the smell of his cologne like it's the last time I'll ever smell it again.
"Lets go" he gives me one more smile and starts his walk to the other side of the warehouse. Stay safe for me, my guardian angel..
