×DONT PLAY SONG UNTIL ASKED TO×

T H E large marble staircase, wound down into the large ballroom. At the end of which, was a small platform arranged. The red velvet carpet, covered the staircase, flowing all the way to the glass stage. Upon which, was a large floral arch and a small table set under it. The room, decorated with the white baby breath flowers. Entwined with jasmines. The red roses adding a pop of colour into the decoration. The large double doors, had been opened. Leading off into the large rose garden at the back of the house. Where seats were arranged for the wedding ceremony. The pleasant March weather made everything look as if it was straight out of a fairytale.

Angelica was inside their bedroom. Still speechless at the wedding dresses Alexander had designed for her. There were two dresses, one for the ceremony, the other, for the reception. The wedding dress, was a proper gown. Not an elaborate ball gown with layers of gauze underneath. But something similar, more refined and contained. The dress had faux white feathers and Swarozski crystals. The deep neckline, fitted sleeves that were softly ruffled at the ends. The belt, cinched her waist, elaborating the flow of the gown itself. Her make up was natural and light, her hair down in soft waves. A beautiful net veil on her head.

She smiled at Raina and Ginny. Her two bridesmaids.
"You look wonderful!" Raina hugged her.
"So stunning dear sister!" Ginny kissed her cheek.
Angelica smiled, hugging her best friend and sister. Thanking her stars for providing her with the two.

When they had first discovered that she was the child of George, Ginny's happiness had had no bounds. She was super ecstatic to be related to her. And the fact that the two of them got along, was even more of a reason for her to be happy.

"Its time!" Ginny smiled.
Opening the doors of her room. Leading her outside. To the staircase where her father waited for her.

"Are you ready?" George held tears inside of his eyes.
His daughter, whom he has seldom seen, had grown so much. Angelica nodded her head. Kissing his cheek softly. Resting her hand in his, as he led her down the stairs. Raina and Ginny managing her train.

In the garden, Alexander stood with the officiant. His eyes looking at all the people that sat to witness their marriage. They were mostly his business partners. Other than Ralph and Ray, no one from Angelica's adopted family or anyone related to them was invited.

He fiddled with the ends of his tux again. Touching his bow tie time and time again. Waiting for the orchestra to being playing. His eyes, stared at the stairs. Waiting for her form to arrive infront of him.

And then, he heard it. The softest of strings of a violin began to move. The piano and flute following suit as the doors were thrown open wide. Alexander felt his breath get stuck in his throat. Tears filled his eyes as he saw Angelica walk down the stairs. Towards him.

His heart, clenched. Full of love for his wife as he turned around slightly, hiding his face from the crowd and wiping his tears. Taking a deep breath, he turned around, staring at her. Passing her a small smile, chuckling as Angelica gave him a low wave.

George walked Angelica over to him. Placing her soft palms into his calloused ones.
"Take care of her for me". George ordered.
Kissing Angelica's hand. He stepped aside, waiting for the ceremony to commence.

"Do you, Alexander Reed, take Angelica Roosevelt to be your lawfully wedded wife?" The officiant asked, after the vows had been read by the two of them.
Alexander squeezed Angelica's hand.
"I do!" His husky voice, loud and clear.
The crowd all smiled at them, as the officiant turned to Angelica next.
"Do you, Angelica Roosevelt take Alexander Reed to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
"I do!" She squealed.

Alexander smiled, waiting for the officiant to signal them to kiss.
"I know pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride!" He stepped back.
Alexander took a step forward, raising her veil. Bending down to kiss her softly. Angelica's hand immediately threading through his hair.

Alexander broke apart the kiss after everyone began cheering on them. Kissing her forehead softly. He wished Angelica a congrats. The two turning to look at the crowd. They walked off of the stage. Angelica hugging Ginny and George.

"Come Angel, let's change you out of your dress!" Ginny grabbed her hand.
Raina following suit, as the ladies all rushed up to the bedroom. Leaving Alexander to entertain the guests.

Angelica's second dress, was a sleeveless body hugging dress. That flared out from her calves. The dress had a deep back and a short train. It was fully sequined with Swarozski crystals. Angelica touched up her highlight. Ginny and Raina walking out as Alexander entered the bedroom.

"You looked ethereal. You have stolen my heart once again my angel. And now you look absolutely divine!" He kissed her softly.
His mouth tasting of mint, as his tounge divulged into her mouth. Angelica's hand, gripping the lapels of his suit in a tight grip. She smiled into the kiss, the sweetness of Alexander's touches giving her a sugar rush.
"You're too kind!" She broke away.
Kissing his cheek lightly, Angelica fixed her lipstick. Cleaning Alexander's lips.

The two of them, walked downstairs. Hand in hand. Entering the decorated ballroom. Where the guests awaited. Holding glasses of champagne in their hands.

"Hello everyone! My wife and I would like to thank you all for joining us on such an important day of our life. Please enjoy!" Alexander motioned to the tables.
Guiding Angelica to their own, as dinner commenced.

Taking a seat next to him, Angelica smiled at the crowd. Feeling relaxed. She breathed a deep breath. Drinking the glass of water that was served. The first course was brought out. The hand that served Angelica, seemed eerily familiar. She raised her eyes, to be met with the sight of her elder brother, Steve. Dressed like a waiter.

"What are you doing here?" Angelica inquired in a hushed tone.
"Serving you. You didn't leave us any other option!" He rolled his eyes.
"Talk to me with respect!" She kicked him on the leg.
Making sure no one saw it. Steve groaned.
"Where is Rosamund?" Angelica asked.
Her vicious tone and venom filled eyes, told him that he had no option but to tell her.
"At– at the asy‐ asylum!" He choked.
Angelica nodded, focusing on her food once again.

No sooner had they eaten their dessert that the dances began. A night full of celebration followed. Ending with a large show of fireworks. Angelica and Alexander, danced into the night. Their soft moves and innocent caresses, were breathtaking. Angelica kissed Alexander, winking at him. Running off to her father. Who immediately accompanied her in a waltz.

Angelica stepped out of her car. Walking into the asylum. She smiled at the receptionist. Informing her of her appointment to meet Rosamund.

"We need you to remove all things metal and move into the metal detector!" The kind woman smiled at her.
Angelica nodded, extending towards her a medical certificate.
"There is a metal rod inside of my leg. Just wanted you to know that the metal detector might buzz!" Angelica smiled.
The woman nodded, helping her past the checks and into the large corridor where the rooms for the patients were.

"You have forty-five minutes. I shall come get you when the time is over!" Informing her, the woman backed out.
Unlocking the door for Angelica before leaving.

Angelica stepped inside the room. The place, was painted white. A large bed in the middle. With soft sheets and a thick duvet. Clearly, the place treated patients well. Rosamund, now frail and having lost colour in her cheeks, sat by the window. Playing a game of chess with herself.

Angelica, smirked as she walked on to her. Grabbing the white queen and placing it an a way that had Rosamund surrounded. On all sides.
"Check mate dear sister!" Angelica took a seat infront of her.

"Why are you here? Security!" Rosamund became frantic.
Angelica rolled her eyes, crossing her legs.
"I've come to put you out of misery!" Angelica gripped her hand.
"W— what do you mean?" There was fear inside of Rosamund's eyes.
"I've decided to forgive you!" Angelica smiled.

She smiled. Continuing to stare at the changing expressions of her sisters face.
"Why would you forgive me? You were the one who lied about my precious Jacob!" Rosamund screeched.
Angelica took off her aviators. Revealing her bright turquoise eyes to her.
"For your sake. I shall agree with whatever you have to say. But tell me sister, how do you feel?" Angelica feigned interest.
H

er eyes stared at the chess board. Gripping the white queen, as she continued.

"So much fire Rosa. But for what?" Angelica flicked her wrist.
Sending the black king to the ground. Breaking its cross as it smashed.
"Anger for you! Get the fuck out! Angel!" Rosamund muttered with clenched teeth.

"You still think I'm an angel?" Angelica raised her brow.
"Of course. You're my sister. Our angel!" Rosamund sighed.
"Really? Well as an angel I come bearing news. Have you heard about our parents?" Angelica raised her brow.
Rosamund shook her head. Inside this place, she was cut off from all outside contact.
"Well someone murdered them. And Melissa couldn't withstand the scene and she passed too! Your daughter by the way, was found snorting cocaine and is now in prison". Angelica kissed her cheek.

Angelica got up from her chair. Taking off her heels, opening the bottom and revealing an envelope.
"Had to lie I had a rod in my leg to get this to you!" She smiled.
Tossing it towards her.
"Open it in two days. It shall get you out of this place!" She smiled.
"Why help me?" Rosamund raised her eye brow.
"Consider it my last favour to you sister! This letter, cuts the last of my ties with you!" Angelica smirked.
Exiting the room.

On her way back, Angelica thought of what happened to her family. Melissa, was dead. She had a heart attack right after her parents were killed infront of her. Riley had run away with his rich wife. Alexander was sure though, that they won't last soon. Steve and his fiancè had broken up. She did not want to associate with a man who supported an offender. And Rosamund, well she ended up in an asylum. Her daughter, in jail for substance abuse.

They were all, destined to suffer for what they had done. And Angelica, had not an ounce of guilt for what she had done. She walked into the grave yard, standing at her adopted parents grave. Melissa's right next to them.

"I hope hell has been treating you worse!" She uttered into the air.
Turning around, walking to the car. Where Alexander awaited her. She kissed his cheek.
"Let's go to Bali!" She smiled at him.
Alexander nodded. It was time to now solely focus on her and her husband. And ofcourse, the little life budding inside of her.

Rosamund opened the letter Angelica had left her. Smiling as she took it out. It was just a small piece of paper and something wrapped in a piece of cloth. Unfolding the paper, Rosamund read the one line written in Angelica's cursive hand writing.

'You're all correct. I am an angel. Your angel. Our family's angel. Sadly for you, I play the role of the Angel of Death!'

Rosamund gulped. Opening the linen cloth. Seeing the reflection of her eyes. But for a second, she could swear she saw Angelica's. With a murderous intent. Gripping the bejeweled hilt of the small dagger her sister left her, Rosamund struck her self in the chest. Blood spilling out instantly, life fading out of her. Forever.

In the time that life slipped out of her, Rosamund thought of her life. It was filled with lies. She had lied. All this time, Rosamund had known what her husband was doing. Her love for the upper society, made her lie to everyone. Rosamund knew she could have ended the whole situation before it even began. But she fell weak. The superficial love of her husband after he assaulted Angelica was way more important than siding with her own sister. She knew they were the ones who had pushed Angelica into becoming a vicious person.

But she was kind enough. To let her out. Out of the prison that was her body, her life, and her room in the asylum.

Angelica was correct. She was the Angel of Death. She had gotten her justice. And the sinners had paid with blood shed.
