Chapter 5: Undyne the Undying?

I swallowed nervously as I turned around to face her. She had her hands in her pants pockets. An eyepatch covered her right eye, and her red long hair swayed at she walked to me.

"How'd you make this pie? It's pretty good... for a human singer that is!" She chuckled nastily at her remark.

"Well, you seem very nice... For a fish pirate that is," I smiled innocently. She snarled and glared at me with one eye. I just winked and went back to rolling dough.

"Hey! I'm not done with you!" She hissed, as she grabbed my collar. I yelped and wriggled around. "UNDYNE. I DON'T THINK THAT YOU SHOULD HOLD THE HUMAN LIKE THAT!" The tall skeleton said, er, yelled. She whipped her head over to him, "Papyrus, stay outta this!"

"Wait? Papyrus the skeleton? Mettaton!" I whispered. Papyrus stiffened, so did everyone in the room except for Toriel. "How do you know Mettaton?" Sans asked. "I did a show with him! He has a really good voice. He talked a lot about you, Papyrus," I said.

A faint orange dusted Papyrus' cheekbones. I smiled a little, Is that how he blushes? That's adorable!

The fish glared at me, her yellow sharp teeth glistening, "Hey, Undyne. Can you do me a huge favor? Thanks. Put the human down," Sans said while he placed his plate and fork on the counter.

The dinosaur stuttered something to Undyne, and she dropped me. I winced as my feet slammed the ground. Ankle breaking filet... I thought with a growl. The dinosaur waddled to me, while Undyne was talking to Papyrus.

"S-Sorry about U-Undyne. Sh-She sometimes gets t-too carried away..." She stuttered. I smiled sweetly and nodded, "It's fine... Even though she's a pirate fish," I said the last words louder. I saw her stiffen, her shoulders rising, but then Papyrus shook his head and I heard muffled curse words and my name.

"W-Well, I'm A-Alphys by the w-way..." She shyly greeted. I opened my mouth to greet her, but she cut me off, "Oh! No, you don't need t-too tell me your name. S-Sans talks about you all the time! And the newspaper..."

I raised an eyebrow and she grabbed my hand. I winced at first, her scales irritating my hand. She waddled into the hallway, and looked at me intently, "Y-You don't want to m-mess with Undyne... She knows some heavy h-hitters."

"Hm? Like who?" I asked. She straightened her glasses and stuttered, "(Y-Y/N). She kn-knows a lot o-of people who would d-die for her."

"What're their names?" I asked again, tapping my foot in the wooden floorboards. "Doggo, D-Dogamy, Dogaressa, Lesser Dog, Greater Dog, and m-more!"

"So... She has an army of puppies? That's awesome!" I said. I love dogs, very much. Some people might even say too much.

"N-No! They're d-dangerous!" Alphys yelled quietly. I raised my eyebrow, "Al, I'm going no back-"

"B-But do you kn-know what s-some p-p-people call her?" She added quietly. I shook my head. What? Was it Captain Fish-brain?

   "Undyne the Undying."

I furrowed my brow, "Undyne the Undying? How'd she get that?"

   "W-Well-"

"Alphys! Hey! We're leaving so hurry up!" Undyne yelled from the bakery. She quickly waddled away, and as she did she waved shyly and said, "I'll t-tell you later. Bye (Y-Y/N)!"
