Chapter 11: Spies
Sans' POV~
It has been three hours since Mettaton and Angel disappeared. I was, of course, panicking. I was pacing around, my fingers on my skull, then it came to me. Her. The other hostage. She's back at the bakery.
"I'm going to the bakery!" I shouted as I slammed the door shut and ran to my car. I sped down the country road, and to the bakery.
I practically shoved the keys into the keyhole, then barged inside. I ran down the steps to the basement, and sprinted through the warehouse.
Then I saw her. She was playing with her hair. She looked up and froze. "Wh-What do you want?" She stuttered, attempting to sound threatening.
On a small table there was some chloroform and a cloth, I doused the cloth, then walked into her cell. She suspiciously eyed me before letting out a muffled scream from the cloth. After a few seconds, she was out.
Kate's POV~
I woke up in a chair. I was tied down. Great, I just love Wednesdays... I growled. I looked around and noticed that skeleton looking at me. I froze up, and swallowed my spit.
"So, where's Angel?"
I furrowed my brow, Who's Angel?
"Ah, um, (Y/N)," he corrected himself.
"How would I know?" I hissed, "I've been in a cell for how long?" He didn't seem happy with my answer. He walked over, putting a boney hand on the top of the chair, "I know who you are. Don't play dumb. She's on your list, isn't she?"
I froze up. My job. I was too close to getting that little singer! "She isn't," I stated simply. He growled and swung a bat over his shoulder.
"Tell me the truth. Or else, well... It's the easy way for me, and the painful way for you," he smiled darkly. His left eye flickered a blue and gold for a moment.
"I-I don't know what you're talking about."
He sighed and lifted the bat into his hands, "Kate Reese, tell the truth. Last shot, bud," he warned.
Maybe, just maybe... "No," I said a little louder. He sighed heavily this time, then walked toward me, smacking my knee with the bat. A loud crack erupted from the warehouse. I screamed, and basically bit my lip off, trying not to cry.
"Tell me what's going on."
"I-I can't... I can't Sans... He'll-"
"I don't care what he's going to do to you. It's gonna be better than what I'm gonna to ta ya," he growled as he batted my shin.
There was slightly red marks on the bat.
I refused to tell him information, and soon, his baseball bat was covered in blood. He chuckled as I my eyelids began to droop.
"Don't go passin' out on me, buddy. We still got a lot to discuss," his dark chuckle was the last thing I heard before passing out.
