Chapter 3: Rescue

The stranger carried me quickly in the rain. He had great strength for a teen (in my opinion) and it surprised me how he didn't even question my wings.

He kept a quick pace until he reached a large house, like a mansion, and hurried up the stairs. Once he got under the overhang, he closed his parasol-thing and knocked on the door.
I couldn't stop my shaking as I gripped my bleeding hand, not knowing what was waiting for me when we got inside the house.
It felt like more than just a few minutes till the door opened, revealing a girl with aqua hair that was let down. When she had first opened the door her expression was tired from just waking up or something like that. But when she saw me, her eyes widened and her expression turned worried and instantly awake. She instantly stepped to the side, letting me and the stranger in.
"Get her inside now, Len!" She yelped before quickly turning around and running up the stairs behind her.
Len... was that the name of the brother? That seems to be this stranger's name. I thought as I felt my consciousness wavering in and out.
The aqua-haired girl met us again with a few towels. She set some on the couch and motioned Len over. He set me down on the couch and the girl wrapped some towels around me before supporting my back so I could sit up. She looked up at Len with panic in her eyes.
"Len, call 911 right now! Then wake the others! Hurry or else she'll bleed to death!!" She said.
Len nodded, quickly running into another room, probably where a phone was.
The girl looked at me, worry in her eyes as she kept me steady and tried to get me dry(er) with the towels.
"It's going to be okay. Don't speak, we'll have you fixed up in no time. Just stay calm we're not going to hurt you." She said in a soothing voice.
A few minutes later, Len ran back into the room.
"They're on their way." Was all he said before walking back over to me and the girl.
"I thought I told you to wake the rest up." She said.
"They'll probably wake up when they hear the sirens. I just thought they should get a few more winks before they actually wake up." He replied.
She let out a sigh before giving me a kind look.
"Just try to stay calm and awake. It'll be okay, we aren't going to hurt you." She said.

A few minutes later some people arrived and brought me into a big, white car with flashing lights. I passed out after that.

I woke up God knows how much time later. I was still pretty out of it, but I didn't feel anymore pain in my hand or my legs. I also couldn't feel my old shackles anymore.
My eyelids felt heavy, even though they were closed and I couldn't really move. Although, it did feel really good to me. It was peaceful, calm. It was like something I've never felt before. Yet I didn't feel entirely calm and peaceful, I was still scared. I took a few more moments to savor this new peace before I tried to open my eyes. It was hard at first, but I was soon able to actually open them.
I looked up and around. I was someplace I didn't recognize. I've never seen this place before, and it scared me.
I tried sitting up, but I was so tired that I couldn't move. I felt trapped again, and it didn't feel good whatsoever. I started to panic, thinking that my parents had found me and brought me somewhere else. Tears started to fall down my cheeks in fear as I tried to sit up.
I heard something move, and shifted my eyes to the white ceiling so I wouldn't see my captor, but I was able to see a person above me no matter where I looked. I looked over at them, and my eyes widened when I saw who it was; Len, that boy from before who 'saved' me.
"You're awake! We were really worried about you!" He said as he smiled brightly, but his smile quickly shifted into a frown. "H-Hey, why are you crying...?" He asked with worry written all over his face.
I couldn't stop crying and turned my head away from him, seeing a door. The door opened, reveling a man in a long, white coat with a clipboard.
The man walked up to my bed, smiling when he saw me awake.
"Ah, you're awake now! Well, we had to patch up multiple wounds on your back, arms, and legs. And especially that hand. Miku said that you were making breakfast when you cut yourself on accident. Nothing was infected, thank goodness. Now that you're awake, you're free to go. Just come back in a month to get those stitches removed and you are all done." He said, pressing a button near the bed, which made it tilt up, and made me sit up.
I now got a chance to look around. I could see that girl from before stand up and walk over to where I was.
The man who wore the white coat wheeled some sort of chair on wheels over to my bed, motioning for Len to also come over to where he was. Len went around the bed, smiling softly at me as he went near me.
He picked me up like before, lifting me off the bed before placing me carefully in the wheelchair. The man gave us a nod before saying a short "have a good day" and walking out of the room.
Len looked down at me with a reassuring smile as the aqua-haired girl walked over.
"How are you feeling now?" She asked.
"N-Nothing... h-hurts." I replied in a small voice.
I was no longer crying since I started to piece things together.
She smiled.
"That's great! Now, let's head back. You can tell us about what happened when we get there." She said. "Oh, we didn't introduce ourselves, did we? We must've been so wrapped up in helping you that it didn't even come to mind. My name is Miku, and this is Len! We're with a group of singers, dancers, and actors called 'Vocaloids'."
I nodded.
"N-Nice to meet y-you."
