"Aurora! Get down here!"

"AURORA!!"

The woman in question awoke suddenly, hearing her name screamed over and over as she cringed. She knew if she took too long things would just get worse, so she hurried downstairs, her heart beating rapidly at the irate tone present in her ex's voice...

"Cole...?" Aurora answered, peering into the doorway as she saw him leaning against the table in the center of the room, gripping the wooden edges of it angrily. "What happened-" But before she could even finish the man was on her, gripping the woman's wrist roughly as he yanked her forward.

"Get in here," Cole hissed, dragging Aurora over towards his makeshift spot on the couch before pointing at the wall above it. "What is this, huh? Was this you?!" He yelled, making her gaze travel upwards while her green eyes widened, finally noticing the atrocity Cole had been screaming about...

She froze while reading the words 'GET OUT' scrawled across the ornate wallpaper in blood, the dark liquid still dripping down onto the couch and blankets he'd been using...

"Ah! I... I didn't do that!" Aurora stammered, trying to pull her arm free as Cole's grasp began to get tighter. "Ow! L-Let go Cole!"

"Don't play these games with me Aurora..." Cole warned, shoving the woman back against the pool table angrily. He watched her wince in pain before straightening back up, looking around the room in a panic as his frown deepened. "How can that not be you?!" Cole went on, taking a step closer as he pointed at the creepy message again for emphasis. "No one else is in this house!"

Just as he spoke those words Aurora's gaze settled on a familiar brightness in the corner, the white porcelain of Brahms' face reflecting the room's dim lighting almost eerily as he watched the scene play out.

"Brahms..." Aurora mumbled, not even meaning to say his name aloud, but truly so relieved to find him safe and sound. She walked over quickly, picking his tiny body up from the chair he'd been seated on before hugging him close.

"The doll?" Cole said in disbelief, looking at Aurora like she was crazy. "The doll wrote this?" He repeated, waiting for a correction or some sort of admission of guilt as the dark haired woman only stared back wordlessly. "Don't pull this shit on me Aurora!" He shouted, getting angry once more while said woman begin backing away.

"You don't understand Cole, the doll is..." She trailed off, knowing that no matter how she explained it, there was no way he was going to believe her. "Something about him is-"

"You know what? I don't care." Cole interrupted, ready to just resolve the issue instead of playing these little games. "Fine. The doll did it." He agreed sarcastically, rolling his eyes before locking his gaze with Aurora's. "Give it to me."

"...No."

"Aurora... Give me the doll." Cole demanded, the tone in his voice making the woman's blood run cold as he took a step forward.

She held Brahms tighter while taking a step back in response, her legs already shaking slightly as she knew this would not end well. "N-No..."

"Aurora, I'm not gonna say it again..." Cole promised, walking around the pool table towards as Aurora headed the other way. "Hand him over!"

"NO!" She cried, moving backwards as her retreat quickly turned into a full on chase. She moved as fast as her legs could carry her, darting out of the games room frantically before dashing down the hall, Cole's heavy footsteps echoing just behind...

A sudden shove from the back knocked Aurora off balance as she tumbled forward, holding Brahms close while attempting to land on her side, as to avoid hurting him. Her head hit the carpeted floor with a thud while her vision flashed white, stunning the woman briefly as Cole used the opportunity to rip the doll from her grasp.

"N-Noo... Ugh..." Aurora pushed herself up, swaying a bit and stumbling while Cole held Brahms up by the arm, looking at him curiously. "Give him back!"

The huge man smirked as he watched Aurora head his way, jerking the doll up just as she reached out to grab it. He pushed the small woman back easily with one hand, sending her crashing into a nearby table, some of the items on it falling over while others rolled off before clattering onto the floor.

"What is so special about this doll?" Cole asked, narrowing his eyes as his "ex" held onto the table desperately, attempting to steady herself. "And what the fuck is wrong with you Aurora? You think you can just pull this crap and get away with it?" He growled, remembering all the trouble he'd already gone through to come out here and track the woman down. And now this shit... It was too much.

"Give... Give him back Cole..." Aurora begged, trembling as she watched said man handle Brahms carelessly, swinging him by his fabric arm as a sinking feeling began to form in her stomach. "Please..."

"Tch... I've had about enough of this..." Cole said, his own anger beginning to get the best of him. "You're so concerned with this goddamn doll..." He stated, swinging the one of a kind item around more freely as he let out a frustrated sigh. "I'm actually getting a little jealous about it..."

A chill ran through Aurora's entire body as she knew what was coming, instantly making one last effort to jump forward and grab the doll just before a harsh slap sent her sailing towards the ground again. She saw stars dancing in front of her vision momentarily, her cheek burning from the impact as Cole ranted.

Aurora pushed her body off the floorboards weakly, glancing forward into the hallway's mirror as her own battered reflection stared back. In the background, her ex glared her way, holding Brahms up above his head briefly before slamming him down. The woman's eyes closed instinctively as the sound of porcelain shattering assaulted her ears, little shards of said material scattering across the floor all around as she screamed. In the next second Aurora was being yanked up by her long hair, crying out in pain as Cole dragged the woman towards the main entrance.

"We're done here Aurora..." He growled, pulling said person along roughly, completely ignoring her kicks and screams. "And you're coming back with me NOW-"

BANG

Cole actually jumped as he let the woman in his grasp go, her hair finally free as she collapsed onto the floor. Another loud thud startled both people in the room as a few lights began to flicker, changing the manors atmosphere immediately...

Brahms... Aurora thought, her eyes welling up with tears as she glanced back towards the doll. Despite the pain she pushed herself up again, limping towards the broken pieces before collapsing. I... I let this happen....... Again... The woman realized, completely breaking down as her finger tips brushed over the jagged pieces of ceramic.

"I... I'm so sorry Brahms..." She hiccupped, crying out as another loud crash could be heard nearby. A few pictures fell from their places as other lights went out, making Cole raise his hands nervously as he looked around.

"What the hell is going on here..." He said lowly, his voice tinged with uncertainty as the noises seemed to be getting more intense. Combined with the frantic sounds of Aurora's crying, it was a little overwhelming, causing the man to finally snap. "WOULD YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP AURORA!!" Cole screamed, raising a hand above his head just as the wall next to him practically shook.

The man froze as he stared in the direction of the sound, taking a few steps closer to investigate. He paused in front of the mirror that was hung there, leaning just a few inches away from the glass while listening in. The smallest noise on the other side made his eyes widen as he glanced back, pointing at the reflective surface silently before speaking.

"I think there's something i-"

Aurora's eyes flew open in shock as the mirror exploded into thousands of glittering shards, the force of whatever was behind it knocking Cole back as he landed on the ground harshly. She watched her ex groan in pain as he attempted to recover, but was soon drawn towards the massive hole in the wall as a familiar voice called her name...

"Aurora...?"

Said woman's green orbs grew even larger as two long arms reached out of the darkness, placing themselves on either side of the hole as the large figure attached to them slowly became more visible.

A familiar looking porcelain mask emerged from the void as Aurora drew in a quick breath, recognizing the man who was now standing outside of the walls instantly as everything seemed to click. The cardigan... The dark hair....... That voice...

"Brahms..." She whispered, flinching slightly as the dark eyes behind the mask glanced her way. She could almost feel the intense emotions raging behind them as the huge man looked her over, taking in her beaten appearance before casting his gaze towards his now destroyed doll...

A groan from the floor seemed to snap Brahms out of his trance as he whipped his head around, fixing his attention on Cole before jumping into action. In a second he was on the other man, slamming the fire poker he was holding against him with incredible force. Aurora screamed as the sickening sounds of bones breaking filled her ears, eventually hearing the metal weapon clatter to the floor as Brahms continued to beat the man with his bare fists.

She watched in horror as Brahms held Cole down, choking him with one hand while his other snatched up one of larger porcelain shards nearby. Before Aurora could say or do anything the makeshift weapon was imbedded deep in her ex's neck, causing the man to gurgle and hiss as his own blood began to fill his throat.

The world around her began to grow fuzzy while she watched the gruesome scene, desperately using the very last of her adrenaline to push herself to stand. Her legs were shaking terribly even as she held onto the wall, attempting to back away just as Brahms glanced up.

He dropped his hold on Cole as his eyes locked with his nanny's again, resuming his full height before staring her way and practically towering over the body...

Aurora was in complete shock as she took a step back, losing her footing immediately and leaning against the wall while she continued to stare.

"B-Brahms...?"

The world around her was starting to get fuzzy and quiet as Aurora's eyes began to close, the woman passing out and beginning to fall just as everything went black...
