Chapter 5: Fairly Local

It had been a month since Sam and Dean had started at Angel High, which meant it was now the third month of school. And the third month of school meant more homework than the first two months. However on the bright side, the Novak siblings had found great friends in the Winchester/Milton boys. The six boys had paired off already, with Gabe and Sam, Lucifer and Michael, Cas and Dean being best friends.

"Heya Clarence," Meg greeted Cas in technology, one of their shared classes.

"Hey Meg. And again, I still don't know who Clarence is."

"Watch a movie for once, geesh. Anyway, how's it going with you and Dean?"

"We're friends. I'd think you would know that, we're all friends. We eat lunch together everyday."

"I mean romantically, idiot. Can't you tell that he has a crush on you?"

"Sorry, what was that? I think I misunderstood you," Cas said, slowly starting to blush.

"It's been a month, you think you would realize. He stares at you so lovingly I want to fangirl about it, and you stare back," chimed in Charlie Bradbury, another member of their friend group.

"Yeah no, sorry to ruin all your gay fantasies,you two, but no, that's not what happens."

"You already fangirl about them, Bradbury," Meg said, ignoring what Cas was trying to say.

"Oh my gods, guys seriously-" Cas began.

"Masters! Novak! Heads to your computers! You're supposed to be freeing the computers from the viruses!" out teacher, Ms. McVerry, said.

"Of course you don't get in trouble," Meg whispered to Charlie.

"Of course I don't, I'm gay and fabulous." Stifling a laugh at Charlie's reply, Cas turned back to his computer and began doing what the teacher instructed.

Dean walked into Mechanics class, which was easily his favorite class because it was taught by his uncle, Bobby Singer, whose auto repair shop he worked at. Mechanics was also where he had one of his closest friends at Angel High, Benny Lafitte.

"So, brother, what's going on with you and Cas?" Benny had asked.

"We're friends man, c'mon Benny, you know this. Or did you hit your head on the Ford you were fixing up? See, that's why I don't like Fords," Dean replied, talking a bit fast.

Benny rolled his eyes at his friend, knowing that the fast talking was simply Dean trying to change the subject, "You like him, we know that, now what are you going to do about it?"

"I don't know what you're talking about," Dean said, his face starting to heat up.

"Yeah, sure you don't," Jo interjected, randomly joining the boys' conversation. "Dean, you're a bit too obvious about it, to be honest. Both of you are."

"I don't have a crush on Cas. I'm not even gay!"

"No, you're bisexual," Jo said.

"Bisexu- what?"

"Bi-sex-ual. You like girls and guys. And if you deny liking guys, should I remind you about the time back in Kansas when we caught you making out with that guy? What was his name, Aaron... Aaron Samuels?" Jo said, smirking.

"You dated a guy named after a Mean Girls character?" Benny asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Shut up."

"I'm pretty sure the Mean Girls character was named after him," Jo pointed out. Well at least it got off the topic of me being in love with Cas, Dean thought.

"Anyway, you gonna ask him out or what?" I spoke too soon.

"No, I am not. He doesn't even like me like that!" With that, Dean took his box of tools and began heading toward the Jeep with a screwed up engine that needed fixing.

"Denial, no longer just a river in Egypt." Jo said to Benny, both of them shaking their heads.

~~~~~~
I am not jealous. I am not jealous. I'm not even the jealous type! I'm not jealous, Lucifer thought to himself as he watched a random guy flirt with Michael, and tried not to seethe in rage.
To Lucifer jealousy in general didn't even make any sense, let alone his jealousy at watching a guy flirt with his not-so-new friend.
I literally got to know this guy like a month ago, this makes absolutely no sense. How the hell can you develop a crush in a month? Nothing even happened that could make it possible for me to have a crush, so therefore by that logic, I do not have a crush! I don't have a crush on Michael. It's fine, everything's fine. It's not like I get butterflies in my stomach whenever we hang out, or feel the urge to kiss him. So I do not have a crush or any feelings except for platonic friendship for Michael, I am simply going to go scare the crap out of the guy flirting with him out of protectiveness for my friend, Lucifer thought, as his legs walked him right out into the hallway and into his two fellow seniors.
"Hey Mike, what's up?" Lucifer greeted, acting casual.
"Nothing much really," Michael replied, turning away from the conversation he was having with the random guy.
"Not a lot, I just kinda needed to talk to... uh...him here for a second. It's business," Lucifer explained. "Then you can have him right back and continue on your merry way," Lucifer finished bitterly, though trying not to sound so.
"Yeah, okay." Michael looked skeptical, but walked off.
Lucifer calmly watched Michael walk away until he was out of sight around the corner that Lucifer came from, when he turned to the boy with a slightly sinister smile on his face.
"Now," Lucifer began, taking steps closer and closer to the boy until he was backed up against the lockers. Lucifer bracketed his arms around him, not touching him though, and once the boy looked like he was about to pee himself, Lucifer started talking, "Now, I'm not sure I even know your name..."
"Jeremy," the boy squeaked out.
"Jeremy, I'm just here to tell you one little thing as a possibly slightly overprotective friend. But first, tell me, how well do you know Michael?"
"We're partners in chemistry," Jeremy said, looking like he, being slightly shorter and lanky, was trying to fold in on himself and make himself smaller and smaller.
"Do you two work well together? What do you think about Michael?" Lucifer asked, tone remaining impassive, not moving from his stance.
"Michael does most of the actual lab work, I mess it up too much. I mainly just write down a neater version of his notes. Michael's awesome, good looking, too." Jeremy's brown eyes were flickering everywhere except for Lucifer as he stared more intently st Jeremy.
Lucifer was silent for a moment before finally deciding what to say, "Stay the fuck away from Michael and request to have a new partner, Michael deserves someone who doesn't just copy his work. Am I clear?" Lucifer tilted his head, an innocent expression on his face.
Jeremy nodded frantically.
"Good. Now scram," Lucifer said, moving back from where he had Jeremy pinned so he could get away. The boy ran off, making a beeline for the bathroom. Lucifer took a deep breath in and out and sighed, looking in the reflection of a girl's locker mirror as she got her books out to make sure not a single blond hair was out of place from his "trying-to-look-like-I'm-not-trying" hairstyle. Running a hand through his hair to fix it in some spots, as he had probably grabbed at it earlier in anger, and starting walking to his next period class.
Lucifer took a look at his watch and started to jog to make it on time, simply because he shared that class with and sat next to Michael. Lucifer slid into his seat a split second before the late bell rang, flashing a blinding smile at Michael as he took out his math binder.
Michael leaned over from his seat beside him to whisper, "What was that about?" As he leaned down to grab his books to make his talking subtle.
"Nothing, just a little deal," Lucifer replied, hiding his smirk with the sleeves of his slightly-too-big leather jacket.
"Well, I'm pretty sure I saw you pin him against the lockers, so unless that was in my imagination, I would say that that doesn't exactly describe a little deal."
Lucifer waved his hand and whispered back, "Details."
Michael cracked a small smile and let out a tiny laugh, "But seriously, what was that about? Who made the deal?"
"Oh...this girl...his ex, I think, caught him stalking her. Told me to take care of it," Lucifer said, making something up on the spot. Well, if Michael liked Jeremy, he sure won't now, Lucifer thought.
"Ok then..." Michael nodded and turned to the board where the teacher began that day's lesson, leaving Lucifer to internally debate whether this was worth paying attention to or not.
Yay! Destiel! Dean has a (possible) crush. I'm sorry (I'm really not) about the amount of Deadpool references. Yes, Lucifer is my Wade Wilson. Hope you liked it, remember to vote!
