Making simple covers is the first step to learning more about graphics.

And here's how I make my simple covers!

Apps/Software Used:
Ibis Paint X
Pixellab

NOTE:
I already edited the size of the pictures I used, which is 1024 × 1600

I made two simple covers, this first one is using one font and simple placement.

(Select the image you will use and add it in pixellab)

1: Determine where you will put the title, then type in the text.

2: Select a color from the cover to make it as the title's color.

3: Add the other words. Adjust the spacing if needed. Then add the author name.

HERE'S ALSO ANOTHER ONE!

This one is using different fonts and different placement but still keeping it simple.

(Select the image you will use and add it in pixellab)

1: Choose a font, then type in the most essential words in the title. (In my case, 'Badboy' and 'Rooftop')

2: Add the other words, make it a bit smaller, and fit in the spaces. (In my case, its 'the' and 'from')

Then add the author name. (Just use a simple font)

❣︎ If the background is dark, use a light color for the text.

And if the background is light, use a dark color for the text (What I did in the 'Badboy from the rooftop' cover)

❣︎ Its best to use a color that is in the cover for the text/Title.

❣︎ Do not use stroke unless needed.

❣︎ Spacing helps A LOT. It makes the text look more aesthetic.

❣︎ Gradient makes the text pop out more.

(The second one, is what I mean by 'use stroke only when needed' since the Perfect match blended with the background)

NOTE:

Making simple covers isnt really that hard, you just have to use the RIGHT FONT AND COLOR for it.

FUN FACT:
The reason why I started making covers is because when I request covers from others I dont like the color and font they used on the cover. So I said to myself 'Is it really that hard?' And my dumbself went and made my own covers, then I started to accept cover requests~
