it was a few weeks later when rosa remembered it was iggy's birthday the next day. she had a feeling gina was preoccupied with other things to remember so rosa took it upon herself to buy iggy a cake, balloons, banners, food and everything else she could think of during her lunch break. she then took everything home and hid it in the wardrobe before returning to work.

usually gina was attached to rosa but she'd be really tired recently, understandably, so she was asleep in babylon during her lunch.

rosa saw gina's empty desk when she entered the bullpen and knew she'd still be asleep in babylon, so she went down to their secret bathroom to find her wife asleep with her head resting against the wall.

'gi, baby,' she whispered, as if she was trying to not wake her up.

gina groaned as she opened her eyes slowly.

'you still tired?' rosa asked knowing the answer. of course she was tired, she was always tired.

gina nodded slightly before repositioning her head to look at her wife.

'i've done most of my work, the rest can wait. you wanna go home early?'

a slight smile appeared on gina's and rosa helped her up and took her to her desk.

'stay there, i'll go tell holt you don't feel well,' rosa told her wife.

only captain holt knew that gina was pregnant, her morning sickness was either at the start or the end of the day so the two times she'd been sick at work, she just said she must've eaten something dodgy.

rosa was surprised that none of them had guessed gina was pregnant like they did the first time, but she was kind of glad. she didn't like talking about her personal life at work, not even if gina was there too.

rosa knocked on the door to the captain's office before entering and closing the door. she explained to her captain and he said it was okay that they went home early as rosa had done most of her work. rosa thanked the captain and left the office before helping gina up and out to the car.

she was fairly certain that most of the squad thought gina was faking it and that they were sacking off for other reasons, but they find out the actual reason soon enough.

rosa drove home with gina nodding off and then she'd bob her head up and groan every couple of minutes as she tried to stay awake.

rosa took herself and her wife inside, and placed gina on the couch.

'i'll go pick ig up in a couple of hours, you wanna watch a movie or just go to bed?'

'i just wanna sleep,' gina mumbled

rosa picked gina up and carried her to bed, kissing her before she placed her on the bed, then sitting down next to her.

rosa was on her phone and gina had just drifted off when she woke up again.

'babyyy,' she mumbled. rosa turned her attention to gina as she continued, 'don't hate me.' she frowned.

'what's up baby? i don't hate you.'

'we need to go get stuff for iggy's birthday, it's tomorrow.'

rosa smiled, 'i bought everything already,' she told gina, 'i went out and got everything i could think of on my break.'

gina shuffled over and cuddled up to her wife and rosa smiled

'thanks baby, i love you.'

'wait crap i didn't get her a present, i was leaving it til the end because i didn't know what to get,' rosa began to panic.

'check under the bed,' gina smiled as rosa leaned over and checked under the bed where she saw all of iggy's presents ready and wrapped.

she sat back up and smiled, 'i love you too.' she didn't even question how gina had done it, it was gina.

a few minutes later, gina was asleep again and rosa was playing with her hair with one hand whilst looking at baby clothes on her phone with the other, she smiled to herself
