PAN KISSED HER cheek and smiled. "Tomorrow, I want to show you somewhere."
Evelyn smiled back. "Alright.
The immortal used his magic to teleport them back to camp and they spent the night with the boys, laughing and smiling.

Pan did not expect to wake up that next morning, his shadow hovering by the open frame in the treehouse. He clenched his jaw and got up, careful not to wake Evelyn. "What is it, shadow?" he hissed quietly.
"You must get rid of the girl. She's making you weak," it replied, in the same low and emotionless tone.
"No, she's not." But even Pan knew the shadow was right. He had fallen too quickly and he didn't know why.
"You know she is," the shadow argued. "You care about her and you don't know why."
Pan glared and crossed his arms over his chest. "Well do you have an explanation then?"
The shadow was quiet and Pan knew if it could, it would be smirking. "There's a prophecy. A prophecy that tells of your doom. And that girl in there will be your end."
