THE FEELING DIDN'T go away so she closed the window, blocking the eyes of whoever was watching her.

Pan felt his frown deepen and he let out a sad sigh. The pain that was concealed by his focus on the girl was back now since she had gone and Pan hissed, clutching his chest. He growled in frustration and then flew up into the sky, back to Neverland.

Evelyn clutched her thin blanket and she flipped onto her other side. Despite there being dark circles under her eyes, rest did not seem to find it's way into her mind so she was left tossing and turning.

She couldn't get her mind off of the small incident from earlier. The girl could've sworn she saw green eyes watching her with awe, but they disappeared as soon as they appeared so she told herself it was nothing. It was just her mind playing tricks on her.

Her mind was playing games with her, taunting her about how she'll never win. How she'll always be and has always been alone. And at that moment, Evelyn knew her mind was right.
