Living For Nothing

THE SUN SHONE bright and when Evelyn awoke, she realized she had taken more than just a nap. And she knew what would happen to her once she exited the room.

She had grown up without a father, him leaving because he didn't want to take care of her. She had grown up with a mother who drank every day and hit her for stupid reasons. She grew up with no friends. She grew up alone. And here she was, still alone.

Evelyn couldn't find a point to her life. She wasn't living for anything so there wasn't a point of continuing on with her life.

The girl got up and opened her window, letting the sunshine inside. Her hands touched the sides of it and she jumped onto the dirt floor, walking to the woods next to her cottage, not bothering to look back as she entered the forest.
