~Time skip~

~Qibli's POV~

"Moon"? I l lifted Moon's snout up gently. She looked me straight in the eye and opened her mouth to speak-

"AAAAAARRRRGGGGHHH" Moon collapsed, fluttering gently to the floor. Panic crossed my face quickly, but it cleared, and in one smooth movement she was on the couch. Moon whimpered and I stroked her face gently.

"Sssh, sssh, it's okay Moon" I whispered. She groaned again, the pain visible on her face. Beads of sweat rolled down her forehead. I rushed out the door.

"Be back soon"! I called and flew off to get Mayfly.

"So, pain in lower stomach"? I nodded. Mayfly examined Moon. "Leave". I protested, but Mayfly shooed me out, shutting the door in my face. I sat on the front step, sulking. My face lit up. I could use the roof! I spread my wings, and flew up to the top of the house, opening one of many secret hatches. I pressed myself against the ceiling. Mayfly was holding Moon's hand, whispering something repeatedly. I knocked my head against the ceiling, and cursed under my breath.

"Camel farts". Mayfly looked up, and anger swept over her face.

"YOU! GET OUT"! I snorted, and  slammed the door behind me.

Mayfly poked her head round the door an hour or so later. I was admiring the two moons shining in the sky. They reminded me of the beautiful dragon behind the door.

"Come in" Mayfly said sternly. I walked in, panic building. Moon was sitting on the sofa, looking healthy. I breathed a sigh of relief. She pulled me over to something in the corner. It was an egg. A beautiful egg. It was black, with gold streaks. It sparkled slightly. It held a dragonet. Our dragonet.

"I was trying to tell you" Moon said "but the egg came early. Were going to be parents". I nearly fainted. Dragonets were so tiny! How could I, Qibli, look after one? Moon and me walked outside. She pointed at the two moons.

"And the dragonet will have the same powers as me". This time I fainted for real.
