Moon
Moon looked at he broken body of her dragonet sprawled on the ground.
A wail pierced the clear night sky.
She realised it was her wailing, but she couldn't stop.
The future was blearing out of focus. The dragonet's first steps, her first word, her first flight was all gone.
She was dead.
The shrieking grew louder.
Qibli tumbled off the edge and soared down to the body, and Moon followed him, burying her face in the dragonet's scales.
"I'm sorry." She moaned. "Sorry that I let you down."
"She's really dead?" Qibli looked at the dragonet, putting a talon on her chest. Moon took more deep, shuddering breaths.
"It's my fault! I dropped her! I should have caught her-should have saved her..."
"Moon. Listen. It's not your fault. Besides...the dragonet isn't dead."
Hey...so I've been thinking about discontinuing the book.
I don't have lots of time to update, but it's your decision.
Would you rather I stop updating, given I can only update about once a month, or would you rather I update infrequently?
Let me know what you think.
