Chapter 25: Two Sad Little Children
(A/N: I'm just gonna put a warning here because it contains child abuse in this chapter, just to give you guys a heads up in case if you feel uncomfortable about what you're about to read, even though what I wrote might not be good, but still.)
3rd Person's POV:
Andie was unconscious as she floated in the inky blot void. She slowly opens her eyes as she slowly floats down, "Where... where am I?" Andie think to herself, "Am I... am I, dead?" Andie looks around as she keeps floating down as if she's in the same position as Alice is after she fell down the rabbit hole. Andie keeps floating down until her feet gently landed on a floor, and she looked around to see she was standing in the middle of a black-and-white dining room.
All that could be heard was the ticking of the clock on the wall and the rain outside. As Andie looked around, that's when she spotted a little boy sitting at the end of the table, reading a large textbook that looked a lot more advanced for a child his age. The moment she saw that faded red hair with the two strands shaped like hearts at the top, that's when she instantly recognized that the boy was Riddle as a child.
"Is that Riddle?" Andie asked herself, "Am I, in Riddle's memories?" That's when someone else entered the room: a woman, cloaked in shadow, and she carried something that I wasn't sure it was a cake or a blob of dough with nuts on it. "Happy 8th birthday, Riddle, my dear!" the woman said to her son as she put the concoction in front of him. "Here's your birthday cake: sugar-free and made with nuts and lecithin-rich soy flour to improve cerebral function."
"Bleh!" Andie gagged, sticking her tongue out in disgust. Even little Riddle seemed to grimace at this monstrosity his mother dared to call a cake, but he tried not to show his disgust and instead gave her a small but forced, smile. "Thank you, Mother," he said, "but... since it's my birthday, I was wondering... may I please have a tart, chock full of strawberries? Just this one time?"
"I should say not!" Riddle's mother exclaimed with utter repulsion. "Deserts and confections like that are very unhealthy! That's like asking me to feed you poison!" "But-" Little Riddle started. "Tut-tut-tut!" Riddle's mother interjected. "I won't hear of it. As your mother and pediatrician, I know what's best. Is that clear." "...Yes, mother..." little Riddle muttered, withering under his mother's glare.
"Good," said Riddle's mother, smiling in satisfaction at his obedience. "Now then, tonight's dinner is sautéed tuna rich in DHA and omega-3 fatty acids... but make sure to eat only 100 grams. Now that you're 8 years old, your calorie intake should be at least 600 kilocalories a meal." "...Yes, mother," little Riddle obeyed as he picked at his meal.
Andie glared at her. "Is this bitch joking?" Andie thought to herself, she remembered how Trey said that she was a doctor, and yet, here she was, practically starving her son! "There's nothing wrong to spoil your child by giving him what he wants every once in a while, especially on his birthday! No wonder Riddle looked so scrawny and so short!"
"For so long a strawberry tart was what I want to eat. In the cake shops around town they're on display in the window, tarts that look like jewels."
Andie's eyes widened as she heard Riddle's voice from somewhere, but she couldn't find out where his voice is coming from. The scene changed and Andie was still standing in the same room, but it was now morning, judging by the sunlight, outside, even though the room was still devoid of color. Little Riddle was still sitting at the table, reading an overly large textbook when his mother entered the room. "Alright, Riddle!" she called. "That's enough classical magic study for today. Now, I want you to review your magical ethics and read the next 50 pages of your magical philosophy books, understand?"
"Yes, Mother," Little Riddle answered, obediently. "Good boy," Riddle's Mother praised. "Now, I have to go run an errand for a little while, but I'll be back in an hour. Use that time to self-study, and when I come back, we'll begin your alchemy lesson." "Yes, Mother," Little Riddle nodded, and with that, his mother walked out, leaving him all alone. He sighed as he quietly turned the page of his book before he glanced out the window, where he could hear the sounds of children's laughter... a look of longing forming on his face before he went back to studying. Andie felt her heart sink as she watched him just halfheartedly look into his textbook. He looked so tiny and lonely in that big room, forced to study a book that looked far too advanced for a child his age.
"My every moment was crammed to the brim with every possible discipline. Time spent learning extended until I could do it. But for me this was "normal"."
The scene changed to the same dining room, and Andie watched as little Riddle reading his textbook with a bored look on his face. His mother was nowhere to be found, possibly out on another errand for the afternoon again, so it meant that little Riddle was doing his self-study, again. As little Riddle continues reading, a pebble suddenly hit the window behind him, causing him to look up as he heard the noise. He scooted out of his chair before he went over to investigate, and that's when he saw them: two young boys waving at him. One had faded green hair and wore a pair of glasses while the other had faded lavender hair, and two cute little kitten ears sticking out of the top of his head as he wore a wide, toothy grin on his face.
"Trey? Che'nya?" Andie thought as she immediately recognized the two kids. "Oh, good! There he is!" said little Trey as little Riddle came over to the window. "Hey! Why don't mew come and play with us?" asked little Che'nya, his voice high and squeaky. "W... who are you?" asked little Riddle. "Me-ow? I'm Che'nya! And this is my fur-end, Trey!" "Hi! I'm Trey Clover. Nice to meet you!" "Uh... it's nice to meet you, too." said little Riddle, slowly but surely growing a bit more comfortable talking to the two boys.
"Hey, do mew wanna play croquet with us?" Little Che'nya offered. "Purrrr-etty please?" "Uh... I-I can't," Little Riddle declined. "This is my self-study time, and my mother said-" "Well, self-study means that mew get to pick what mew want to study, doesn't it?" asked little Che'nya. "And my grandpaw always says that play is a form of study!"
"What do you say?" asked littleTrey. "Will you come and play with us?" Little Riddle contemplated it for a moment before he looked over his shoulder as if to check if anyone was watching. Although, for some reason, Andie felt like he was looking at her, almost like he was asking her permission to go. Even though Andie knew he probably couldn't see her since she is only watching his memories, Andie smiled and nodded her head, urging him to go and play. "O... okay," Little Riddle said before he began to climb out the window, "but only for a little while." Little Trey smiled as he helped the smaller boy out the window.
"So, do you have a name?" he asked. "...I'm Riddle... Riddle Rosehearts," Little Riddle replied as he went to follow his two new friends. Soon, more memories appeared, showing the three playing games like croquet and tag. Andie smiled endearingly as she watches them laugh and play together. It reminded her of the old days when she was younger, running on the playground and playing with her former old friends, too. Not having to worry about bullies and being judged for the things she's into or her hair color. Andie could see that little Riddle was genuinely happy to be able to play games and not be forced to pour over books like all the other children his age.
"Playing with Trey and Che'nya was so much fun. I learned new things, played new games. They taught me so much. From that day on, during my self-study time without telling mother I left my room."
The scene changed again to outside of Riddle's childhome house. One day, as little Riddle snuck out as little Trey and little Che'nya help him out so they can play again, little Che'nya's stomach began to grumble, and soon after, little Riddle's stomach growled, too, causing him to blush in response. "Excuse me," he peeped, causing little Trey to chuckle as he gently patted him on the back.
"I guess it is about snack time," he said. "What do you say we go back to my place and have a strawberry tart?" "Ooh, yummy in my tummy!" Little Che'nya exclaimed. "What about mew, Riddle? Do mew want a tart, too?" "I... I've never eaten a tart, before," Little Riddle admitted. "EH?!" Little Che'nya exclaimed in shock. "Are mew kidding me-ow?! Mew never had a strawberry tart before?!"
"Well, my mother says I shouldn't eat them because they're like poison," Young Riddle explained, "so she won't let me eat any." "Wow," Little Che'nya said with drooping ears. "I feel sorry for mew." "Well, only if eat too many tarts at a time," Little Trey pointed out. "I mean, the worse they could do is give you a stomachache. Once in a while won't kill you." He paused. "You know, my family owns a cake shop! Why don't we go by there and eat some tarts, right now?" "Wha...?!" Little Riddle gasped. "But... but I-" "Yay!" Little Che'nya cheered. "Tarts, tarts, tarts!" "Just one little slice won't hurt you," Little Trey reassured. "One slice?" asked little Che'nya, "I want a WHOLE one!"
Soon, the boys were all sitting inside a different room, this one with a round wooden table. Soon, another woman entered the room, carrying a plate with three whole tarts. "Here you go, boys!" she said, cheerfully. "Enjoy!" "Thanks, Mom," said Little Trey. "I should be thanking you, my little helper," said Trey's mother as she knelt down to kiss him on the cheek. "Mom!" Young Trey complained. "You're embarrassing me!" Despite what he said, I noticed the smile on his face as his mother gave him a hug before she heard the sound of a bell ringing. "Oh, another customer!" Trey's mother said as she left the room. "Help yourselves to the tarts, boys!"
Little Riddle stared down at the tarts in wonder, his eyes sparkling as he looked at the confection. It was beautiful, like staring at a magnificent treasure. The crust was thick and crumbly, filled with pure snow-white cream, and topped with dazzling red, plumpy strawberries. Andie couldn't help but drool a bit herself as I stared at it, as well. "Guess Trey took this after his mom, since I bet she baked this," I thought to myself, "Well, then again, his family owns a bakery so no wonder it looks good, but still."
"Atop a pure white plate, a brilliantly red strawberry tart. For me, it shined brighter than any jewel."
"Well?" asked little Trey. "Go on! Take a slice!" Little Riddle seemed hesitant, swallowing the pooling saliva in his mouth before he carefully reached toward the plate and picked up a slice of tart. Then, throwing caution to the wind, he took a bite... and the moment he did, his eyes widened at the sweetness of the dessert. "It's... it's delicious...!" "Right?" asked little Che'nya, having already bitten into his whole tart. "Trey's desserts are so yummy!" Andie was shocked, "Trey made that? Wow, that's amazing!" Andie thought to herself, impressed. Little Riddle was shocked and amazed as Andie is. "You made this?" asked little Riddle in amazement. "It's amazing!"
"Well, I just put it together," said little Trey, scratching the back of his head. "My mom was the one who had to bake it since I'm still too young to use the oven and... uh... hey, are you okay, Riddle?" "Why are mew crying?" asked little Che'nya while little Riddle sniffed as he munched on the slice of tart, his eyes welling over with tears. "...It's... it's so good...!" he said before he took another bite. "I just can't stop eating it!"
Andie smiled warmly and happily at little Riddle. She knew how much he wanted to eat even one slice of that tart, and now, he had finally gotten his wish.
"The first bite was wonderfully sweet, it was better then anything I'd ever had. I savored each bite and got lost in it. Lost track of time."
That made Andie frown, she didn't like the sound of that. The scene changed again back in the dining room of Riddle's house. She watches as little Riddle struggles to hold his terrified sobs in as his mother glares angrily at him, Andie noticed how little Riddle held his cheek and can see a small faded red bruise on his cheek, and this made her eyes widen in disbelief. "Did... did this bitch slapped Riddle?!" Andie asked herself in rage as she glares at Riddle's mother.
"How could you?!" his mother scolded. "How could you do this to me?! Not only have you been sneaking out during your self-study time, but you actually ATE that disgusting mound of sugar?! After I told you not to, as well?!" She seethed as she shook her head, a slight of madness is clearly shown on her face. "This was their fault... those two little hoodlums manipulated you into doing this! I forbid you to ever see them again!!"
"I... I'm sorry, mother...!" Little Riddle sobbed as he meekly apologized, tears freely dripping down his cheeks, as he stepped forward to hug his mother. He was hopeful she'd relent if she saw how sorry he was. He didn't want to give up spending time with the first real friends he'd ever made... but he also didn't want to risk losing his mother's love.
"Please... I-I won't sneak off again, I promise. Please forgive me!" "Silence!" Riddle's mother admonished as she moved out of the way of her son's embrace, effectively rebuffing his attempt to seek comfort from her. Riddle's arms dropped to his sides as he lowered his head again, heartbroken that his mother had rejected him.
"I've told you before, have I not? Those who break the rules do not deserve the right to complain about the consequences, so I'll hear no more from you." She pressed a hand to her forehead and sighed, the madness in her eyes faded away as she tries to calm down. "Ahh... I never should've given you so much free time. It seems I'll have to keep an even closer eye on you."
"If I broke the rules my time for fun was completely taken away. That's why the rules mother makes I have to follow. In this town mother is the most respected that makes her correct. But... tell me, mama. Why? Why does my chest hurt like this? Just on my birthday would be fine, I want to eat a bunch of tarts. I want to play outside for hours. I want to make more and more friends. Tell me, mama, what rules should I follow to make this pain go away?"
"Riddle...." Andie covered her mouth with her hand, feeling her eyes getting watery. She felt her heart drop as she heard the sound of Riddle's voice breaking down. This was what led up to everything... the reason why Riddle is the way he is. All he wanted was to have a normal childhood: one where he could play with his friends and eat sweets whenever he wanted... but his mother wouldn't allow it. She took his childhood away from him and forced him into this life, and he felt that he had no choice but to listen to her after what happened with the tarts... but he didn't WANT to do these things. He didn't want to act like a tyrant and enforce rules.
He just wanted to be a normal boy. "That bitch... She put Riddle through so much, she doesn't deserve to be his mother!" Andie thought to herself, feeling the anger towards Riddle's mother grew further, "She shouldn't have treated him like that! He's her son! Her flesh and blood! Not an object! If I ever meet that ungrateful whore in person, she's dead! And I'll make sure Riddle stays far away from her as possible!"
"Oh Riddle..." Andie felt a tear falling from her eye and she wipe it away. Nearby, Andie saw a small glimmer of light, and without any hesitation, she walks towards it. Upon arriving, her heart broke when she saw Dark Riddle sitting on the broken checkered title floor, surrounded by piles and piles of books, hugging his knees and burying his face in his arms. "Riddle?" Andie said softly, causing Dark Riddle to slowly raise his head, revealing his bloodshot eyes, tear-stained cheeks, and runny nose.
"An... Andrea?" Dark Riddle said, his voice no longer had the echoy tone, it was his normal voice. Andie gazed at him with worry and sadness, she doesn't see a stuck-up brat and terrifying tyrant anymore, all she saw was a lost little boy that Riddle truly was deep inside. Andie walked up to Riddle and saw all the books surrounding them. No doubt the books from all the years his mother forced onto him. Andie look down and kneeled down to sit next to him. After a few moments of silence between Andie and Dark Riddle, Andie decided to break it.
"I saw what happened, you know..." Andie started, "I saw why you became the person you are today, Riddle... I thought I understood from what Trey told me and the others back at the library the other day, but... but now... I truly understand why you do the things you did..." Andie said. She turns her head to look at Dark Riddle, who already was looking back at the floor and hasn't spoken but still listening to her as she continues.
"I understand you have no choice but to follow the rules your mom forced on you, but you have to understand what you're doing is wrong." Andie said. "Following the rules can a good thing Riddle, but it can also be a bad thing. If you keep enforcing the rules onto others too much, then they'll hate you forever. And nobody wants to be friends with a control freak."
Dark Riddle said nothing as he looks down at the floor in shame. "Even if the rules are broken just a little, that's no excuse to punish them for that. In the end, you're becoming just like your mother: a rule enforcing, overbearing tyrant." She's right. It was true. She was right... and he was wrong.... He couldn't deny it anymore. More tears started to stream down his cheeks.
"I... I didn't... I didn't want to hurt anyone... I... I just..." his voice nearly breaking. Andie leans over and gently cups his cheeks and wipes his tears away with her thumbs. Dark Riddle felt her gentle touch and look up to see her smiling gently at him. Andie reach down to grab his shoulders and pull him close to her, giving him a hug. Dark Riddle's cheeks redden by this but said nothing.
"It's okay, Riddle. You don't have to follow EVERY rule your mom makes. Why don't you just try to be yourself?" Andie said tenderly, "Nobody's perfect. Everyone has their own flaws and limits. We all have our own dreams, wants and needs. Even you. There's nothing wrong with that. We're all human beings, after all. Not puppets. Just try to focus on being yourself, that way you can learn to improve yourself by learning from your mistakes and let the others appreciate your progress." Andie said, she pulls away a bit to look at Dark Riddle, who kept his gaze on her.
"Being yourself is way more important than being perfect. Only you have the power to choose your own life. No one else does. Not even your mom." "But how?" Dark Riddle asked, "You can learn from your friends. They can teach you to be a better person." Andie replied, "Trey, Cater, Ace and Deuce, even Che'nya, are all here for you. And they're not going anywhere. And neither am I." She kindly said.
"And if it's alright with you Riddle, I want to be your friend too." Dark Riddle's eyes widen. "Really? After everything I've done to you... you want to be my friend?" Andie nodded, "Yeah." Andie said, "I know we went off on the wrong foot when we first met, but now that I know the truth, I'm more than willing to start over and be your friend."
Dark Riddle gaze at Andie, shock to hear that she wants to be his friend, after everything he's done and said to her and her friends, she's willing to give him a second chance. Tears once again filled his eyes as a smile formed on his face, he threw his arms around Andie, hugging her as he buries his face on her shoulder. ".... Thank you, Andrea...." Andie smiles as she wraps her arms around him, hugging him back. As he hugged her, his overblot form begins fading away to his normal self. A sudden wave of memories went through him.
Children's laughter is heard as Riddle look up to see to see he's in a park. He saw his younger self playing with young Trey and young Che'nya. They're running through the streets, and they ran up to the park he's in. Riddle's eyes widen, this is around the time before he lost track of time and got in trouble with his mother. Little Riddle, Trey and Che'nya all ran through the park as Riddle watches them approach a young girl who appears to be around the same age as they are. He can't see her face since it looks all blurred out by the sunlight, but she appears to be wearing a white dress and her hair is in a braid.
She turned around and wave happily at them as they ran up to her. Riddle couldn't make out what Che'nya is saying, but the woman walked up to them, wearing the same white dress as the little girl, but the sun was shining bright that only a silhouette only shows, but she begins to circle her hands as a snowball began to form. The woman threw the snowball up into the air, which shot up like a missile and exploded right before it hit the sky, and snow fell to the ground.
"This is amazing!" Little Riddle cheered and the children began to play in the snow the woman created. Riddle smiled fondly at this. "Watch this!" The little girl said as she runs up to the empty pond and steps on it and it froze into ice, as little Riddle, Trey and Che'nya gazed on in awe. They all began to play in the snow the little girl and the mysterious woman created as the little children began to have snowball fights, making snow angels, and even building a snowman.
Just when they were about to play on the ice pond to try to learn how to ice skate. The mysterious woman called out to the little girl, "... My little snowflake, it's time to go!" "Aww, already?" The little girl pouted with little Riddle, Trey and Che'nya, "I'm sorry, sweetie, but royal duty calls." The mysterious woman said as she made all the snow and ice disappear. She gently grabbed the little girl's hand, and they walked away as the little girl waved her hand at the three little boys as they waved back, bidding her a goodbye. The scene changed and Riddle found himself a living room he has never seen before. He heard footsteps and turn to see Andie, but as a child.
(A/N: I actually made this years ago, when I was using picrew.me, before the site in the picrew.me went away for some reason, but this is what Andie would have looked like as a child)
"Andrea?" Riddle said softly, this is what Andrea looked like as a child? Instead of the cold, and hardheaded Andie he saw and met, this Andie is quiet, shy and timid. She took off her backpack off on the couch and took out her report card, and Riddle saw it was a B+, he heard another set of footsteps and both him and little Andie turn to see a cold, stern and strict woman, wearing glasses, her hair tied in a hair bun and wearing a professional outfit. "Hello, Andrea." The woman said. Seeing this woman, made little Andie nervous. "W-Where's mama and papa, and Ellie, Miss Hawkins?" Little Andie asks timidly.
"Your parents are on a business trip, and they won't be back until the end of next week. And as for your sister, she's still in track and field club at her school and won't be back until later." Miss Hawkins said, "What do you have there?" Miss Hawkins asked, noticing the paper little Andie is holding in her hands, "M-My report card..." Little Andie said as the woman takes the paper from her, "I was gonna show it to mama and papa, but-"
"You got a B+?!" Miss Hawkins shouted, looking angrily. This shocked Riddle, it's true that he always gets A+, but even he knows that getting B+ is a good thing at times, but from the way little Andie looks scared, that got Riddle worried. "Do you expect your parents to approve this?!" The stern and strict woman scolded as she threw the paper on the table, "B-But, mama and papa said to do my best..." Little Andie said scared, "And that was the best you got?! After all the tutoring I gave you, and you ended up with a B+?!" Miss Hawkins scolded, causing little Andie to step back in fear. "Well, it looks like I'm going have to tutor you to make sure you actually get it an A+! Even if it takes all night!" Miss Hawkins said, before harshly grabbing Andie's wrist and dragging her to the study room, ignoring little Andie's cries.

Andie:

Riddle watches as the memories soon shifted, showing little Andie showing her tutor her notes, and immediately, Miss Hawkins's expression soured as she skimmed through them. "What is this?!" she asked. "Did you even look at the textbook that I gave you, Andrea?!" "I... I was trying," Little Andie began, "but Miss Hawkins, it's just so hard and-" "Excuses, excuses!" shouted her tutor as she slapped the notes on the table. "You obviously haven't been paying attention! We'll have to do the lesson over, again!" "But... but Miss Hawkins, I'm already so tired and-" Little Andie started. "No buts! Start again!" "...Yes, Miss Hawkins..."
Andie:

Riddle watches as Andie's old tutor mistreated little Andie from forcing her to study from day to night, even from all night. Barely giving her a break to rest, eat or sleep, or even play with her friends after school. Causing little Andie to look sleep depraved and exhausted, and her stomach growling, longing for food, but little Andie still forced to study, remembering how her old tutor telling her to study in order to "make her parents proud". Riddle felt disgusted at how overbearing Andie's old tutor is, just like his mother is to him.
Every time little Andie tries to improve herself and getting A's or A-, or even finally getting an A+, Miss Hawkins said it wasn't enough to prove her parents, and always discouraging little Andie. Miss Hawkins didn't like the choices little Andie makes or the friends little Andie made. Every time little Andie did something, Miss Hawkins would yell at her and slaps her. Because of this, Miss Hawkins was beginning to control little Andie's life whenever her parents and/or older sister were not around, and little Andie felt like a trophy than a child to her tutor and began to think she's a trophy to her family as well.
Andie:

The memories changed to where little Andie is in the dining room, having dinner with her parents and sister. But Riddle can see little Andie is barely eating. "Andie? What's wrong?" Maybelle, little Andie's mother, asked with concern when she saw the state her youngest child is in. "You're barely eating your dinner." "I'm... not hungry..." Little Andie said, pushing her barely touched plate of food away, despite her stomach growling. "But Andrea, you need to eat." Kevin, little Andie's father, said, "You look like you haven't eaten in weeks."
"I'm fine, really." Little Andie said, getting up from her table, "I'll be in my room studying." "Studying?" Teen Elena said, confused. "But you've done enough studying with Miss Hawkins." Little Andie flinched a bit from hearing her tutor's name, "But I have to study for a test my teacher is having at school tomorrow," Little Andie said, sounded exhausted, but walked away to her room, leaving her family worried and confused.
Andie:

"I cannot believe you!" Riddle saw the memories changing again to Miss Hawkins screaming at little Andie, who has bruises on her face from being slapped. Riddle looked down to see a chocolate ice cream cone, splat on the living room floor. "How could you do this?! I was gone for a week, and you're already falling back on your studies?!" Miss Hawkins screeched, as little Andie sobs. "It's those friends of yours, isn't it?! I forbit you from ever seeing those troublemakers again!"
"No, please! Please, I won't do it again! I just let me play with my friends, again!" Little Andie pleaded as she cries, "No! No excuses!!" Miss Hawkins snapped. "You broke the rules, and I won't hear another word from you! Obviously, you can't handle self-study while I'm not here, so from now on, I'll be keeping a better on you! I'll be tutoring you and watching you, 24 hours a day to make sure this NEVER happens again!" Miss Hawkins demanded, causing Riddle to glare at the cold, strict and stern woman, "But-But you can't do that!" Little Andie retorted back, this causing Miss Hawkins to slap little Andie, and causing little Andie to fall on the ground, holding her cheek. This caused Riddle to gasp in horror.
"Yes! Your parents' left me in charge of you and your sister while they're gone, so it not only makes me your tutor, but also your caretaker! And I will do what I want you to do! You have to understand something, Andrea," Miss Hawkins said. "I'm not strict with you because I want to be! If I don't enforce these rules, then you won't get by in life! I'm your tutor and caretaker, therefore, I am always correct! If you won't obey, you don't have the right to complain, is that understood?!" "I... I..." Little Andie whimpered. "The answer is 'Yes, Miss Hawkins'!!" Her tutor shouted, causing little Andie to flinch in fear.
Andie:
♫ Show and tell ♫
(Why can't you fucking hear me?!)
♫ Show and tell ♫
(Are you listening yet?)
"...Yes, Miss Hawkins..." "Good... now stop that sniveling and get up! Start doing your alchemy homework! And I'll be here to make sure you do it right!!" Miss Hawkins shouted, "...Yes, Miss Hawkins..." Riddle saw someone hiding behind the door to see little Andie's big sister, Elena, who was watching everything and was disgusted at what Miss Hawkins is doing to her sister as she glares angrily at Miss Hawkins, now understand why her sister is acting so weird, and barely eating and only studying all the time and barely getting any sleep, and why she was so scared whenever Miss Hawkins is brought up, or when she was coming, teen Elena ran off to call her parents.
The memories changed to the living room, and Riddle heard a woman screaming, "You bitch! How dare you treated our daughter like garbage?!" Maybelle screamed, Riddle watched as her parents found out about this from teen Elena, who saw how harsh and abusive Miss Hawkins was to little Andie. Kevin and Maybelle confronted Miss Hawkins, and yelled at her for treating their child terribly as little Andie was being held in teen Elena's arms with tears down her cheeks, little Andie has heavy bags under her eyes, and her cheeks and wrists having bruises on them. Riddle, little Andie and teen Elena watched as Kevin and Maybelle fired Andie's former tutor and kicked her out of their house, and soon later filed a restraining order on her to make sure she doesn't go anywhere near their daughter again.
Andie:
♫ Show and tell ♫ (♫ show and tell, baby ♫)
♫ I'm on display for all you fuckers to see ♫ (♫ fuckers to see ♫)
♫ Show and tell ♫ (♫ ooh ♫)
♫ Harsh words if you don't get a pic with me ♫
♫ Buy and sell ♫
♫ Like I'm a product to society ♫
♫ Art don't sell ♫
♫ Unless you fucked every authority ♫
Riddle snapped out of that memory and hugged the now teenage Andie even tighter when it was over as a white light shined from above them. Encasing them in its warm rays. Then they vanished.
"Riddle!/Andie!"
