Dear Readers,

At long last, Andanza | S. Vanaver has reached completion as well and I am so glad to see the way it has turned out. It had been difficult to write this story because it was dealing much more with the Court and the conspiracies in Gotham as compared to Espera and there were multiple times I got stuck with writer's block too.

But now that it has reached completion, I must acknowledge that it was only possible through the motivation you readers gave me to continue this story through your comments and support.

First of all, I want to thank these special readers who have been a great support to me:

And all those who I couldn't mention here, I am extremely thankful to you as well for reading this story and appreciating it.

I have said this many times before and I will say it again; writing stories that feature action and thriller scenes are the hardest for me. Andanza was the second book in this series and contained most of the climax so it took me very long to piece it together and finish it.

For me, any story that takes more than six months to complete is a story that I struggle with. Most of my stories get done within three to four months maximum and those that exceed this time frame are the stories that I either get stuck in or don't get the time to write. In Andanza, I got stuck several times but I am relieved that eventually, everything came together and got sorted.

I hope you guys found this story worth all the hours of reading and I hope my hard work and effort have paid off. Granted, you must have questions about the way this book ended and I have thought a lot about it too.

I had like about three different endings for this story but in the end I decided upon this ending due to several reasons.

Firstly, I wanted to show that life isn't fair and you don't always get a happy ending. Secondly, justice isn't fair either because it's blind. Many times the sword of justice strikes the one who might not be truly guilty but is proven so, as we see in Richard's case.

Thirdly, your sins come back to you always, you can not escape without reaping what you've sown. Richard might not have killed Lavina but he did kill Tony Zucco and perhaps the punishment he received in the end was for his actions in the past.

Similarly, Lavina knew that if she lived she would have been punished far worse for all her deeds. So she chose an easier way by making Richard kill her. There's one more reason why she made him do that but my lips are sealed for now.

And last but not the least, in all the raging madness of justice and crime, good people suffer too. In this story, many people suffered despite not being evil or conspiring towards any foul goal. The biggest examples of it are Timothy, Bruce and Barbara who got caught up in the chaos even though they were not at fault.

I know many of you might still not be content with this ending but worry not, the story hasn't ended completely as we do have the third and last book waiting for you all.

Lechuza | L. Vikander is going to be posted very soon and it focuses on Lavina and sums up the entire series so all the questions you have had through the first two books will finally get their answers in this installment.

The title for the fanfic is taken from Spanish just like Espera and Andanza; Lechuza translates to owl which symbolizes Lavina and her family. It will be taking you on a rather lengthy journey from Lavina's childhood to her later years, focusing on the multiple phases of her life that led her to become the secretive woman you see her as in Espera and Andanza.

I hope it turns out to be enjoyable for you all but fair warning, I have a lot in store for you because upon asking, my readers replied that they want it to be as shocking as it can get (which tbh is a free reign for me to do anything and everything I can to blow you guys away).

I am very excited to start with Lavina's story because she has become one of my most favorite and complex original characters so far. Her paradoxical nature and the secrets she binds herself with must have roused questions in many of you and worry not, we will be covering it all in Lechuza.

And if you want to start reading the sequel to Andanza | S. Vanaver directly without reading Lavina's story, you can read Lucera | B. Gordon which is the last installment and starts off from right where the second book ends.

Hope to see you there.

Have an awesome day and stay blessed.

Love from,

Zenina Dawson.
