Don't Trust Him

They go over to Dad and pick him up, leaving the area in a hurry.

'Ariel don't trust him, he isn't who you think he is,' I hear a familiar voice in my head.

'Castiel,'

'Yes, now please try and stay safe and get as far away as you can' he tells me before silence takes back over my head.

We drive off to a safe location. Yes, I will do what Castiel asked of me but I am not leaving my brother. The Impala is parked outside a cabin in the woods. Inside Sam I and I are pouring salt along the window sill. His face is a mess – bruised, bloody, and swollen. I can feel blood caked on my face and lip. Dean comes into the room.

"How is he," Sam asks.

"He just needed a little rest, that's all. How are you two," Dean questions.

"We'll survive. Hey, you don't think we were followed here, do you,"

"I don't know. I don't think so. I mean, we couldn't have found a more out-of-the-way place to hole up,"

"Yeah. Hey, uh.... Dean, you, um...... you saved my life back there,"

"So, I guess you're glad I brought the gun, huh,"

"Man, I'm trying to thank you here,"

"You're welcome,"

Sam walks across the room. 'Men'

"Hey, Sam," Dean states breaking the silence.

"Yeah, Dean'"

"You know that guy I shot? There was a person in there,"

"You didn't have a choice, Dean," I tell him crossing over to him.

"Yeah, I know, that's not what bothers me," Dean explains.

"Then what does," Sam asks.

"Killing that guy, killing Meg. I didn't hesitate, I didn't even flinch. For you or Dad, the things I'm willing to do or kill, it's just, uh .... it scares me sometimes," Dean elaborates.

Sam just looks at him, not knowing what to say. Dad comes into the room.

"It shouldn't. You did good," Dad tells him.

"You're not mad," Dean asks concerned. Something is fishy.

"For what,"

"Using a bullet,"

"Mad? I'm proud of you. You know, Sam and I, we can get pretty obsessed. But you and Ariel– you both watch out for this family. You always have,"

"Thanks,"

The wind suddenly picks up and the lights start to flicker. They all go over to the window.

"It found us. It's here," Dean states.

"the demon," Sam questions.

"Sam, lines of salt in front of every window, every door,"

"Dad, we've already done that. Its basic 101 of demon hunting. And we aren't going check it," I tell him with an attitude.

"Lose the attitude, little girl," dad tells me glaring, "Dean, you got the gun".

"Yeah," he states.

"Give it to me," dad commands me.

"Dean don't give it to him," I tell Dean shaking my head. Dean must have caught on to why I was being mean to dad. He still takes the gun out of his pocket.

"Dad, Sam tried to shoot the demon in Salvation. It disappeared," Dean tells him.

"This is me. I won't miss. Now, the gun, hurry," dad further inquiries. Dean hesitates and looks down at the gun. He looks at me, and I shake my head pleading with him.

"Son, please. You sister must have hit her head to hard. Don't listen to her," dad states. Dean starts to back up a few steps towards me.

"Give me the gun. What are you doing, Dean," Dad questions?

"He'd be furious," Dean states, finally realizing what I already knew.

"What,"

"That I wasted a bullet. He wouldn't be proud of me, he'd tear me a new one," Dean tells him. Dad just looks at him as Dean raises the gun, pointing it at him and cocking it, "You're not my Dad".

Dean points the gun at Dad.

"Dean, it's me,"

"I know my Dad better than anyone. And you ain't him,"

"What the hell's gotten into you,"

"I could ask you the same thing. Stay back,"

Sam comes into the room and is shocked to see Dean pointing the gun at Dad.

"Dean? What the hell's going on," Sam questions.

"Your siblings' lost their minds," 'dad' tells him

"He's not Dad," I state. Finally happy someone else sensed it.

"What," Sam states in disbelief.

"I think he's possessed. I think he's been possessed since we rescued him," Dean starts to explain.

"Don't listen to him, Sammy." Dad pleads.

"Dean, how do you know," Sam questions.

"He's .... he's different," I try to explain.

"You know, we don't have time for this. Sam, you wanna kill this demon, you've gotta trust me," Dean states.

Sam looks back and forth between his father and siblings. Sam and I share a look, but I don't' say anything verbally just tell him that something is off with him and to trust Dean and me.

"Sam," dad states hoping for him to agree with him.

Sam looks back and forth.

"No. No," Sam states as he moves over to stand by our side.

Dad looks at us.

"Fine. You're both so sure, go ahead. Kill me," he tells us.

Dad looks down and waits. Dean holds the gun on him but can't pull the trigger.

"I thought so," Dad states his eyes on the floor. He looks back up and his eyes are yellow. Sam and I lunge, but is thrown against the wall, pinned there. So is Dean, and he drops the Colt.

Dad picks it up.

"What a pain in the ass this thing's been," he tells us, "Speaking of pains. Ariel, darling I can't have you calling for help or trying to fight to fight me again so sorry, but not really.

He smirks at me before he flings me hard into walls a few times before I slip into unconsciousness.

~Sam's Point of View~

"What? You're the only one that can have a family? You destroyed my children. How would you feel if I killed your family? Oh, that's right. I forgot. I did. Still, two wrongs don't make a right," the demon smirks.

"You son of a bitch," Dean tells out.

"I wanna know why. Why'd you do it," I question.

"You mean why I killed Mommy and pretty, little Jess," the demon questions.

"Yeah," I state.

"You know, I never told you this, but Sam was going to ask her to marry him. Been shopping for rings and everything. You want to know why? Because they got in the way," the demon explains.

"In the way of what," I question.

"My plans for you, Sammy. You... and all the children like you and Ariel. Man, Ariel was going to be the best one, sadly some little winged bastard had to intervein and ruin that plan. But I still have a place for her in my plan," the demon states looking over to were Ariel lays unconscious smirking.

"Man, I'm sick of this villain monologue, is there a point to this," Dean questions.

"Just to let him know that this is far from over," The demon states.

~Ariel's Point of view~ Much later~

I start to come back to my senses. When I look up I see Sam pointing the colt at dad.

"You kill me, you kill Daddy," I hear dad mockingly state to Sam.

"I know," Sam states before he fires the gun, shooting Dad in the leg. He falls down and so does Dean. Sam gets up and goes to his brother.

"Dean? Dean, hey? Oh God, you've lost a lot of blood," Sam starts to freak out. I rush over to Dean's side and take off my top shirt to apply pressure to the wound.

"Where's Dad," Dean questions us.

"He's right here. He's right here, Dean," Sam tell him.

"Go check on him, I have Dean, let me take care of him. I have more experience with this," I tell Sam pushing him away. Sam begrudgingly gets up and goes over to check on Dad. He is lying motionless on the floor.

"Dad? Dad," Sam questions. Dad looks up at him.

"Sammy! It's still alive. It's inside me, I can feel it. You shoot me. You shoot me! You shoot me in the heart, son," Dad commands. Sam aims the gun at Dad, "Do it now,"!

"Sam, don't you do it. Don't you do it," I cry out to my twin.

"You've gotta hurry! I can't hold onto it much longer! You shoot me, son! Shoot me! Son, I'm begging you! We can end this here and now! Sammy," Dad cries.

"Sam, no," Dean and I call out to him.

"You do this! Sammy!! Sam," Dad yells out.

The demon suddenly leaves Dad in a black cloud from his mouth. It disappears through the floor. Dad looks at Sam accusingly, before he falls over.

After we pick Dad and Dean Sam and I pile everyone in the car. Sam is driving with Dad by his side. Dean and I are in the back seat. Dad gasps in pain, Dean is just slumped in the back seat, I'm sitting on the floor, so I can apply pressure against his wounds and care for him until we make it to the hospital.

"Look, just hold on, alright. The hospital's only ten minutes away," Sam tells Dean.

"I'm surprised at you, Sammy. Why didn't you kill it? I thought we saw eye-to-eye on this? Killing this demon comes first – before me, before everything," questions dad. Sam looks in the rearview mirror at Dean and I. I half sit on the back seat so I can apply more pressure to his side.

"I got it handled back here Sam, keep your eyes on the road," I tell him looking back at him. He looks back at the road then after a few moments he answers.

"No, sir. Not before everything. Look, we've still got the Colt. We still have the one bullet left. We just have to start over, alright? I mean, we already found the demon".

Suddenly, an eighteen-wheeler suddenly slams into the passenger side of the Impala at full speed, driving it sideways in front of it. I hug Dean as tight as I can since he is un-buckled and has wounds that need the pressure. I feel the car and myself flip several times before I hit my head hard against the window frame causing me to black out.
