Nick didn't want to let go yet, everything was falling around him, he wanted to hold on a bit longer.

"N-Nick, can you drive me home," Ashlie whispered through her hiccups. They had all decided to stay the night at Bri's after they got the news about what happened to Cory and it was barely six A.M, none of them had slept.

Tommy was lying down and staring at the ceiling, Uni hadn't left the guest room, and Jon and Dawn were curled up on the couch mindlessly staring at the tv. Even Bri was nowhere to be found, having retreated into the room she used to share with Cory. Nick and Ashlie were both at the breakfast table, even though none of them had or planned to eat anything.

"Ashlie," Nick felt like a child, "Do you want to stay over with me tonight? I know it's sudden but... I think we all need someone tonight, it's obvious Jon and Dawn are going to stay together so..." He left the sentence hanging and thought that the floor was very interesting all of a sudden.

"O-Of C-Course I will N-Nick," She said, placing a hand over his own. "That's what friends are for!"

"Yeah, of course. Thank you, Ashlie." Nick lamented with a bit of a tear in his eye. This was all he had left, he didn't know what he was going to do without Cory in his life but he sure as hell wasn't going to do it alone.
