English (Shakespearean) Sonnet

14 line poem

3 quatrains (4 line stanzas) followed by 1 couplet (2 line stanza)

Rhyming scheme of ABAB CDCD EFEF GG

You think you're successfully cheating,

that I'll say, "Oh, so sorry, my bad!"

Know that I see you; your wish fleeting,

I'm pissed off, now, yes, really quite mad.

You are here to learn, my dear student,

And I am here for you, now to teach.

You will surely do what is prudent,

or the passing grade is out of reach.

In fact, your shiny reputation

is now definitely on the line.

But if you want that retribution,

you're heading that direction just fine.

Academic Dishonesty is your lame attempt, I think,

At pulling a fast one on me, but your efforts really stink.
