The Closing of the Year
"If I cannot bring you comfort than at least I bring you home...Let the bells ring out for Christmas at the closing of the year"~The Closing of the Year - Wendy and Lisa
24 December 8.02am
Charli tiredly woke up, the room came into focus, she wasn't in her New York bedroom. Instead, she was in a soft bed, in a rather large bedroom, as she smiled to herself a strong arm pulled her in close against a warm, familiar body.
Paul sighed as he woke up "Morning luv" he said as his hand lightly cupped her breast.
"Morning yerself" Charli smiled, she reached back running her fingers through his hair as he kissed her neck.
"I could get used to waking up like this," he said pulling her even closer to him.
"Care for a bit of a romp before we head out?" he suggested. Charli laughed turning to face him.
"You are insatiable!" she teased as she threw a leg over his hip, pulling herself closer to him.
"Can't help meself luv," he said low before kissing her.
"It's alright," she admitted between kisses "So am I"

"Just a little over half way there," Paul smiled as they drove on to Liverpool "Should be there in time for dinner"
"It's been so long," Charli said as she adjusted her scarf. She and Paul had talked about everything, nothing and anything in between. She felt completely at ease and while she was a little nervous, she was more excited to see his family.
"Things have changed a bit" Paul explained warmly, "I told ya' I bought me da' a house?"
Charli nodded
"In Heswell," Paul continued "He's remarried and I've got a wee step sister named Ruthie...You've met me Auntie Jin, she'll be there...and Mikey, Uncle Jack..and I think Aunties Edith, Millie, and Anne as well..."
Charli laughed "Bloody hell! Will there be any room for us?"
"Of course!" Paul smiled "We always had that many of us in the house on Forthlin Road. Usually, me and Mikey had to sleep on the floor..or if it was summer, we'd sleep in the garden, da' bought us a tent for such occasions"
"We better not be sleeping in a tent!" Charli teased.
"Wouldn't dream of it," Paul laughed "You know da', he wouldn't dream of a lady sleeping in such conditions. There are a few guest bedrooms, which I've already claimed one for us"
"Hold on luv, I've got an idea," Paul said as they stepped out of the car "Care for a bit of wassailing?"
Charli grinned knowingly, Christmas was going to be the best since long before she'd been moved from Liverpool.
Paul knocked on the door, it sounded busy and warm inside.
A woman, with dark hair peppered with a few grey strands in a bun, answered the door, she stood in an apron before she could speak Paul and Charli sang:
Here we come a-wassailing
Among the leaves so green;
Here we come a-wand'ring
So fair to be seen.
Love and joy come to you,
And to you your wassail too;
And God bless you and send you a Happy New Year
And God send you a Happy New Year.
The woman screamed happily as they finished and she hugged Paul excitedly.
"Paulie! I haven't seen ya' for yonks!" she exclaimed.
"Its good to see ya's too Auntie Millie" Paul laughed as she let go of him.
"Look at ya's, so grown up...I see yer face everywhere, tell all me friends 'that's me nephew ya know?'" She boasted "Come in, come in!"
"I'm sorry dear, I didn't catch yer name," Millie said turning to Charli.
"Charlotte...everyone calls me Charli" She smiled as Paul held her hand.
"Pleasure to meet you, dearie," Millie said happily "Come on then, everyone is waitin' for ya's"
As they made their way into the home the smell of fresh cinnamon and clove wafted through the air, Charli smiled at the sights, sounds and smells of Christmas with the McCartneys. A large tree sat in the front room, decorated elegantly with more presents than Charli had ever seen sitting beneath, there was music playing through a stereo sitting near the television set and laughter.
"Paul," James said turning away from a story he was telling his brother Jack "It's about time ya' turned up lad!"
He hugged Paul warmly.
"Happy Christmas Da'" Paul smiled "You remember Charli, yeah?"
James turned to Charli, he smiled warmly.
"Of course I remember Charli" he smiled "Welcome home dear"
He pulled her in for a hug, Charli smiled at the warmth of the house and the welcome atmosphere. James McCartney held his hands at her shoulders.
"Not the wee little girl I remember" he laughed "You've become quite the lovely young lady, hopefully, ya' can keep our lad in line"
"Thanks, da'" Paul blushed as Charli laughed.
"It's good to see ya' Paul," Uncle Jack said shaking Paul's hand firmly. "And lovely to meet you Charli"
Uncle Jack nodded to her in the signature McCartney way she'd grown used to from Paul.
"You too Uncle Jack," Paul smiled amiably.
"The rest are about the house, most are in the kitchen," James said.
"I think we'll make our way there, could use a nosh!" Paul laughed.
"Yer Auntie Jin will have none of ya' sneaking snacks Paulie" James laughed.
"I'm sure I can convince her," Paul called over his shoulder. "I'm her favourite!"
The dining room was filled with pastries of all sorts, they could smell a roast and could hear Jin and James' new wife Angie laughing as they went about finishing dinner.
"Hold on luv," Paul said dropping Charli's hand a moment as he snuck into the kitchen.
"Well, well, who do we have here?" Charli heard a voice enter the room. She turned to see Paul's younger brother Mike standing with a beer in hand.
"Jesus! Charli??" he gasped spilling a bit of his drink on his shirt before hugging her tight.
"It's good to see ya's Mikey!" She laughed. Mike used to tease her endlessly when she and Paul began secretly dating, but they'd always gotten along well.
"Fuck me," he said letting go of her "Paul said he'd found ya's again, but bloody hell! Look at ya'! No longer the little girl in those hideous floral dresses, are ya'?"
Charli laughed "No, thankfully!"
Auntie Jin and Angie came into the dining room, Paul following behind, his mouth full with a custard tart as he carried a handful out.
"I'll not be hearin' any of that language on Christmas Michael McCartney" Auntie Jin scolded before she and Angie set the roast at the centre of the table.
Paul handed Charli a custard tart happily and put an arm around her waist.
"Charli darling," Auntie Jin said wiping her hands on her apron "You remember me, yeah? Not that I'd expect you to, you had to be about 12 last I saw you"
"13," Charli smiled "and I remember you"
"Give us a hug then," Jin said happily as she pulled Charli away from Paul. "Be careful of this one, he'll sweet talk his way into anything"
"Oh, I'm well aware" Charli laughed as Paul grinned mischievously.
"Hi Charli," Paul's stepmother Angie said shaking her hand "We haven't met, I'm Angie, James' wife"
"Lovely to meet you," Charli smiled.
"Mummy," a small child's voice called entering the dining room "Can I go outside and play with me new sled?"
"Not now dear, we're going to have dinner soon," Angie said as Paul picked up the small girl.
"And this," he said spinning her around as she giggled "Is me step-sister Ruthie"
He turned to Charli "Ruthie," he said "This is my lovely Charli"
Ruth shyly said "hello"
"That's a very lovely dress, Ruthie," Charli said, she felt like she'd been a part of Paul's family for years.
"Thank you," Ruth said cheering up "Mummy bought it for me for Christmas!"
"I bet, after dinner, you could help me impress Charli with how many Christmas carols we can sing" Paul pretended to whisper to Ruth.
After dinner they had spent time singing, the entire McCartney family seemed to love singing and have a knack for learning any instrument they touched in Charli's mind, Paul and Ruth did get a chance to show off, but it was Jim who took over the piano for most of the afternoon.
It was early evening as Charli sat on a couch with Paul and Mike.
"Just a moment luv," Paul said getting up to speak with his father.
"So when are ya's gonna' make an honest man of our lad?" Mikey teased as he passed Charli his beer.
"I just got in yesterday!" Charli laughed "'sides, isn't he supposed ta' make an honest woman of me?"
"From what I know of ya's both from childhood, I think its a bit late for either of you" Mike laughed as Charli punched his shoulder.
"Alright luv," Paul said helping her up from the couch "Let's go, we have to be back by 8 for presents"
"Go? We just got here!" Charli laughed.
"I've got a surprise for ya's if ya' come with me" Paul added as he put his arms around her.
"Bloody Hell! Not here Paulie!" Mike laughed.
"Sod off ya' git" Paul laughed.
"Language! Both of ya's!" Auntie Jin scolded.
"Where are we off to?" Charlie asked as she stepped into the familiar Aston Martin.
"Well," Paul said as he started the car, "I thought we could go for a drive through the old neighborhood...maybe see Jenny if you like"
Charli's eyes widened, the idea excited her but she worried, after everything that Jenny wouldn't want to see her.
"Ya' think she wants to see me?" Charli asked as they started the journey to Allerton.
"Of course she does!" Paul said "I haven't seen her in over a year meself, but she'll be ecstatic to see ya' love"
As they drove through the streets of the town they grew up in and laughed as they remembered some of the things they'd gotten into trouble for, they came upon her childhood house. The house was dilapidated and worn, the windows still boarded up.
"Fuck me..." Charli said in almost a gasp.
"No one moved in after ya' left," Paul said sadly "The house just sort of sat to rot"
"Yeah, well me father goin' spare on it like he did couldn't have helped" Charli bit.
Paul grabbed her hand and squeezed it tight.
"Let's not think about that bastard tonight luv," he smiled "Better times ahead"
She smiled at him.
Soon, they arrived at the familiar home of the Jamison family.
As they stood on the doorstep Paul looked to Charli and said in a hushed voice.
"Hide behind me luv, let's give her the Christmas surprise of a lifetime" he grinned. Charli grinned excitedly and did her best to hide against him as he knocked on the door.
Charli's heart was pounding as she heard footsteps and Jenny's familiar laugh.
"PAUL!" Jenny exclaimed as she opened the door "Didn't expect ya's! Happy Christmas!!"
She went in for a hug.
"Hold on, hold on" he laughed declining her hug as Charli stood behind him trying not to laugh.
"I thought I'd stop by, I was in the area...and got ya's a Christmas gift" he smirked "From our last tour in the states"
"A prezzie? From America?" She said excitedly holding out her hands "Give it over!"
"Alright," Paul laughed as he reached behind him, grabbing Charli's hand and she stepped out from behind. "Happy Christmas"
Jenny's eyes went wide and her face went pale. Charli bit her lip as tears came to her eyes.
"Hi Jenny," Charli said "Happy Christmas"
"Oh my god!" Jenny said as tears spilled from her eyes, Charli stopped holding back her tears as Jenny hugged her tight "Oh my fucking God!" Jenny said sobbing "I can't believe it's you, I thought I'd never see you again!"
"I know," Charli cried "I'm sorry I didn't write...my da'.."
"Shut up Charli," Jenny laughed "I know...I always knew....fuck that bastard!"
Charli laughed.
Jenny pulled away, "Look at you! No longer a kid, you grew up well!"
Charli laughed, she looked at Jenny, Jenny had grown up as well, she was extremely pretty and seemed far more fashion conscious than Charli remembered.
"You should talk!" Charli teased.
"Hold on, there's something I have to do" Jenny laughed. She turned to Paul and roughly cupped his face in her hands before kissing him. Paul's eyes went wide in shock as he felt Jenny's tongue in his mouth.
Charli was wide-eyed and not sure what to do.
"I told ya's Macca," she explained as she broke away "If you brought her back, I'd kiss ya's...and not some granny kiss."
Paul pulled Charli close to him as she laughed at the situation realising there was nothing between them and how much it was like Jenny to do such a thing.
"Now, I need to wash me mouth out" Jenny laughed "Why don't the two of ya's come inside?"
"Aw c'mon Jen," Paul laughed as they stepped inside "It wasn't that bad!"
"Hey!" Charli shot a look at him jokingly.
"Yer like me brother!" Jenny laughed "Ya' may be Great Britain's most eligible bachelor, but yer still Paulie to me"
"Jenny," Miss Jamison called from the kitchen. "Who was at the door?"
"A couple ghosts!" Jenny laughed as they entered the kitchen "Macca is here mum and guess who else?"
"Welcome home Paul," Miss Jamison said turning, she saw Charli as shock came over her face and she dropped the plate she'd been washing.
"It can't be!" she said walking towards them as Jenny cleaned up the plate that had been dropped. "Charli?" she said moving a strand of Charli's copper hair behind her ear.
"It's me, Miss Jamison" Charli smiled.
"Come here dear," Miss Jamison said pulling her into a hug "It's so good to see ya's well and happy"
"C'mere Paulie," She said pulling Paul into a hug next.
"How's Simon?" Charli asked Jenny.
"He's great!" Jenny said happily "He's upstairs with Gran. But he's doing well in school, not many friends, but he met a lad who sticks up for him when he gets how he is"
"I've got an idea," Paul said wrapping his arms around Charli from behind.
"Oh?" Charli questioned.
"Strawberry Field?" He asked both Jenny and Charli with a grin "Like old times?"
Jenny grinned wide "I'll get some lagers"
Charli turned and kissed him warmly, "You are making this the best bloody Christmas ever! I'm keen to see how you'll top this next year"
Paul laughed "I'll find a way".
"Mum, mind if we head to Strawberry Field for a bit to catch up?" Jenny asked.
"That's fine Jenny," Miss Jamison approved "Just be back in time for story time with Simon, you know he loves you telling The Night Before Christmas"
"Wouldn't miss it for the world mum!" Jenny called as the made their way out the door.
"I actually moved to London about 6 months ago," Jenny said as the three walked the streets of Liverpool.
"Where?" Paul asked excitedly.
"Oh, I've got a small flat of me own in Marylebone," Jenny explained she inhaled her cigarette "Nothing much, but I like it. Working for a local magazine...mostly writing, sometimes modeling..."
"Pull the other one!" Paul laughed suddenly "You mean to tell me, you've been living on me doorstep and never came for a visit!"
"Wait, what?" Charli asked. she didn't know London well enough to know where "Marylebone" was.
"Marylebone is about a 15-minute drive from us luv" Paul explained.
"Are you daft?" Jenny laughed "I've seen your place, fuck me, I'm not dealing with all those bloody girls swarmin' yer gates just to pop by for tea!"
"Yes, you are!" Charli laughed.
Soon they reached the gates of Strawberry Field, the gates were closed.
Paul smirked at Charli and Jenny as he climbed the familiar gates, Charli soon followed.
"Ya' comin Jen?" She called.
"Why did I wear a bloody skirt?" Jenny laughed "I should've known going out with you two, we'd be breaking an entry"
"Oh come on" Paul laughed "What happened to teddy girl Jenny Wren?"
"Fuck off," Jenny laughed as she climbed the gates "That fashion is so old"
"So what sort of articles are ya' writing?" Charli asked Jenny after awhile. They had walked a short distance before deciding to sit on a bench and have their lagers.
"Mostly fashion shite.." Jenny shrugged "I mean I like it, but I want to write me own stuff"
"Like what?" Paul asked taking a sip of his beer.
"I don't even know" Jenny laughed "I want time to figure that out"
Jenny moved to lay in the snow, "C'mon then," she said to Paul and Charli "Might as well make a night of it"
Charli grinned as she and Paul joined Jenny, laying in the snow gazing at the stars.
"Fuck," Jenny sighed as she exhaled a cold puff of air "I remember doing this anytime we could"
"Yeah," Charli agreed "I missed this"
"We missed you luv," Paul said grabbing her hand.
"Romeo is right," Jenny said glancing at Charli "He would always come talk to me about ya's....even when he had a girlfriend"
"Oh sod off," Paul laughed as he grabbed a bit of snow and threw it at Jenny. Charli laughed at their antics.
She remembered the many times she'd snuck out late at night with Paul and Jenny to lay in Strawberry Field gazing at the stars, even before she and Paul were together, before Jenny or Paul knew the extent of abuse she faced at home, each plotting their futures.
"Did either of you think we'd end up back here after everything?" Charli thought out loud.
They thought a moment.
"No," Jenny said first "I mean I always hoped we'd still be friends, but after your parents going fucking spare, I figured I'd never see you again. And Paul, mate, you're world famous....I never thought we'd see each other very much once The Beatles took off"
"I should stop by more often, but now that you're in London," Paul responded "And I had a feeling we'd all end up here again, I only hoped The Beatles would make it big in the UK, I can't complain where its led and I've got me girl again"
Charli smiled "I can't say I ever thought I'd be back here like this, but I'm beyond happy it's happened"
Later that night, after presents had been opened and more carols were sung and more mulled wine consumed; Paul and Charli laid in each other's arms on a small bed.
"Sorry we can't do too much," Paul said quietly "Da' and Ange's room is next door and much as we're not kids anymore.."
Charli hushed him with a kiss "It's okay luv," she smiled "we can just talk now and then"
Paul smiled and held her close.
"Thank you," she smiled as she lifted her head to face him.
"Your welcome," Paul said, "What did I do?"
Charli laughed quietly.
"This has been the best Christmas I've had...ever," she said.
"It's not over yet luv" Paul smiled warmly "I've got a few surprises for ya's tomorrow"
Charli smiled before kissing him again, he pulled her close.
He stared at her a moment almost in disbelief she was with him.
"If you could go anywhere luv, where would you want to go?" Paul asked as he pushed a strand of hair behind her ear.
"Why? Is that a hint at what ya' have in store for tomorrow?" Charli laughed.
Paul laughed softly.
"We could...but I was thinking future travel" he answered. Charli thought a moment, travel wasn't really something she thought about, especially now that she was home in England.
"I never thought on it much" she admitted "I wish I could've been with you in Hamburg, everything you've said about it seemed insane"
"Oh god, Hamburg.." Paul laughed softly as he ran a hand over his face "We could go someday, I'm lucky I remember any of it"
"France," Charli said suddenly "I want ta' see what all the fuss is about"
Paul laughed at her reasoning "We could do France someday" he smiled.
"New Zealand," Charli said thinking.
"Jesus!" Paul laughed "Ya' go from France to clear across the world!"
"You asked!" she teased "It just always looked stunning in photos"
"It is," Paul admitted "We weren't there long and they didn't plan well, some girl slit her wrists when she wasn't allowed past the hotel lobby to see us"
Charli grimaced "Ya' can't be serious"
"'Fraid so," Paul sighed running a hand down her arm "I don't know how long Beatlemania is going to last, I love what I do, I'm just happy when I don't have to be 'on' and worrying about what some potty teenager is going to do to herself if I don't sign something"
Charli nodded "Ya' never have to be 'on' around me, I just want ya' to be Paul" she yawned.
Paul smiled warmly before falling asleep.
25 December 1966 7.12pm
Paul and Charli had been home from Liverpool for a few hours. After rounds of goodbyes, packing gifts into Paul's Aston Martin early in the afternoon, they drove the quiet drive to London. There had been a few calls, one from an excited Ringo wishing them a "Merry Crimble", he insisted on speaking with Charli, who while she hadn't met him in person yet, knew they would get along easily.
The gate birds were missing from their usual perch at the gate and the intercom had been silent.
"There you are my love," Paul said handing Charli a glass of wine. She smiled as she scratched Martha's head in her lap.
"She's really taken to ya's" Paul smiled as he sat beside her.
"I'm not complaining," Charli said as Martha huffed and made herself more comfortable "She's lovely. But I don't think I'm getting up anytime soon if she has her way"
"She'll move, I have my ways" Paul laughed. They both stared at the Christmas tree in the corner, Nat King Cole's version of The Christmas Song played softly. Charli, despite having some difficult Christmases with her parents, always envisioned her perfect Christmas. She smiled realising, she'd found it.
"What do ya' say we open some prezzies?" Paul grinned looking under the tree.
"Aw...then we have to disturb Martha" Charli laughed.
"Martha!" Paul said excitedly. Martha opened an eye, curious to hear why her nap had been interrupted.
"Treat?" Paul asked. Martha's head shot up and she looked at him excitedly.
"C'mon, let's get a treat!" Paul said as Martha hopped off the couch eagerly following as Paul walked to the kitchen.
"You spoil her!" Charli called watching him over the back of the couch as he fed Martha a doggie snack.
"You say that like it's a bad thing" Paul laughed putting away the box of dog treats.
They sat beneath the Christmas tree together as Paul pulled a gift from under the tree.
"Wait!" Charli said as she got up and grabbed her camera "Before we do that! I promised New York I'd send them a Christmas photo!"
Paul laughed but obliged as they posed in front of the Christmas tree, he kissed Charli's cheek just as she snapped the photo.
"First, I think Martha has been most patient...Putting up with us leavin' her behind yesterday" he set a large bone shaped gift in front of her, she sniffed it momentarily before excitedly ripping the wrapping paper to shreds trying to get her new bone as Charli and Paul laughed at her antics.
"You're next," Charli smiled as she passed a small parcel to Paul "I'm sorry, I wasn't able to get ya's much..."
Paul hushed her with a kiss "You already got me a gift" he winked. Charli cocked her head.
"You'll see," he said as he started unwrapping the gift she'd handed to him "After this one"
Charli had bought him a button down shirt in a blue, red and purple psychedelic print.
"Saw it in the village, thought you'd like it" she smiled as she watched him looking it over.
"I love it," he said before kissing her.
"What's this about me already getting you a gift?" Charli asked, "Sex doesn't count!"
Paul laughed "But that's the best gift of all!"
"Come'head luv, I'll show you," he said finally as he stood up offering a hand to Charli
Charli took his hand as he led her upstairs. He led her to a room she hadn't been in before, she hadn't had much of a chance to explore her new home. As they entered he turned on the light. There was an easel and a drawing table and a few works she'd assumed were done by Paul, then she saw it; hanging on the wall, just above the drawing table was the painting she'd done of herself similar to Frida Kahlo's portrait from her senior year of high school.
"What?" she laughed astounded at what she was seeing"How did you? I didn't bring that...I didn't even know where that was!"
"Eddie sent it," Paul admitted putting his arms around her from behind "I saw it packed away in your closet when I was visiting.."
"Gathering dust" Charli admitted, "I'd forgotten I took it to New York with me...and moved with it to Greenwich..." She thought back, she'd hidden it during her addiction, it reminded her too much of who she was when she hated who she'd become.
"Well, it's perfect," Paul said, "I asked Eddie to send it as a surprise. So sorry I didn't ask for your permission, but I wanted to surprise ya's"
"I was 18 when I did that," She admitted staring at her self-portrait "18...and tripping on acid" she laughed "Regardless, it was something that showed who I wanted to be"
"Its how I see you," Paul said softly, she turned to kiss him.
"Hey! I haven't gotten me presents yet!" She laughed.
Soon, they were sitting under the Christmas tree again. She'd opened a few canvases and painting supplies which made her happier than Paul had expected.
"I couldn't bring my painting supplies! They took up too much space!" She exclaimed before hugging him happily "I'm going to start using them tomorrow!"
Paul laughed handing her another box.
She opened it, inside was a large stretch of blue silk fabric, she knew exactly what it was for as her eyes went wide, Paul passed another gift to her.
"You didn't," she said as she began opening the next gift, inside were sturdy rings and hooks. Her face lit up "How?"
"I have a few connections," Paul smirked "I've told them about you, they're quite keen to have you join them, we'll stop by the Indica after we've had a chance to relax for a few days, Mika is usually there most days, she helped me with what ta' get ya's. Those silks, I figure, come spring we can set them up outside so ya's have more room to practice"
"You didn't have to do this" Charli smiled as she held the silks up.
"There's more" Paul grinned as he helped her up, Charli raised an eyebrow wondering what he had in store.
Paul led Charli to a door that she hadn't seen opened yet, it had only been a couple days since she moved in.
"Ok, when we get to the bottom of the stairs, close your eyes," Paul said with an air of mischief. Charli cocked her head as he opened the door. The stairs were dark, he hadn't turned on the light.
"Alright, close yer eyes luv," Paul said as they reached the bottom of the stairs.
"It's dark enough already!" Charli laughed.
"Just for a moment" Paul pleaded. Charli closed her eyes, she heard Paul turn on a light switch and could sense the light even through her closed eyes. He grabbed her hand softly.
"There's a small step just there," he said leading her "Just be mindful of it"
Charli searched for the step with her foot before carefully stepping down. Paul stopped and stood behind her, his hands on her shoulders.
"Alright, you can open your eyes," He said.
Charli opened her eyes and gasped. She looked around the room as her hands went over her mouth.
The floors were hardwood and stunning. There was a set of mirrors across one wall, in the corner, she could see various mats and a lyra hanging up, ready to be taken down at any moment and used.
"Oh my god," she whispered, tears were threatening to spill from her eyes.
"What do ya' think luv?" Paul asked with a smile "I wanted to give you a place of your own to.."
Before he could finish, she turned and kissed him.
"Thank you," Charli said sincerely as she ran her fingers through his hair "You didn't have to do this"
"I know," Paul smiled warmly "I wanted to though"
"You're going ta' spoil me" she laughed.
"You say it like its a bad thing," Paul said, his lips brushing hers before kissing her.
It was late, snow was falling softly outside the window, but the house was warm and happy. Martha had given up on her master and her new friend and gone to bed.
Paul and Charli danced slowly together as The Orioles What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?
Maybe its much to early in the game
Oh, but I thought I'd ask you just the same
What are you doing New Year's?
New Year's Eve?
Paul sang softly.
"Whatever it is, it better be with you" Charli laughed before kissing him.
"Perfect," Paul smiled as he pulled her closer to him "I have a feeling 1967 is going to be bloody amazing"
"If the end of 1966 is any indication," Charli said running a hand through his hair, "I think you could be right"

A/N: Okay, so I love Christmas...you may notice this in some of my writings ;) I had fun writing this one and hope it's enjoyed. I particularly liked writing Jenny and Charli's reunion.
Also, I LOVE this song...ridiculously much. ;)
I figured, Paul would be a bit extravagant given everything that had happened when they were younger and after being apart for so long. Charli, sort of adapted well to his family Christmas as she would have been around once in awhile (when she snuck away from her home), needless to say, the McCartney family, most of them would know her.
Anyway, thank you, thank you, thank you! The votes, follows, adds, comments really do brighten my days and make me want to keep writing more and more for all of you!!
