"I can heal your Diamond." Said Steven softly.

Black Pearl smiled. "Thank you, um..."

"Steven. It's Steven."

Black Pearl turned. "Follow me. My Diamond awaits."

They walked back to the ship, Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, and Peridot trailing close behind.

Black Pearl opened the door to the ship. There, inside, was a dark, tall figure, but not much taller than Pink Diamond had been. She had a diamond gem on shoulder, jet black, and with a small crevice in it. Peridot knew, however, that a tiny crack like that could ruin gems forever.

Black Diamond looked very similar to her pearl- black, short hair with bangs that covered her face, waving wildly about, and a pale body. However, Black Diamond's skin was tinged gray, and she looked ghostly inside of her dark clothing. Her lips were wide and the color of obsidian. She sat silently, looking broken, sad, and helpless. Steven licked his hand.

Peridot watched in awe as Garnet lifted Steven up to the shoulder of the diamond, and as he placed his hand onto her gem, it healed. 

The huge figure stretched upward, arching her back with a snarling sound. She threw her head back, and her short, wild black hair slid out of her face to reveal two beautiful, big eyes. Her body glowed paler, her eyes smiled and filled with light, and her whole body stretched as she stumbled out of the ship and onto the grass.

When her voice came, it scratched and was hoarse at first, but beautiful, melodic, and dark.

"Wha...what...?" She whispered.

Then she saw Steven and the crystal gems, and screamed.
