"I'm going to find Lapis."

Everything was a blur.

"Lapis!"

Peridot's tears floated up around her head, slowly drifting to the sides and down. Lapis's wings floated lightly around her. Suddenly Peridot's tears flew over to Lapis and joined the bluenette's water wings.

The water wings flashed gold for a second, then went back to blue.

Lapis looked away from Peridot, then shot upward into the air, wings flapping gently to keep her in the air.

"Lapis! Wait!" Peridot begged, running after her.

She chased Lapis all the way to a dark crater, where Lapis finally sat on a big moon rock, looking back at Earth. 

Peridot sat next to her. "Lapis?"

"D-don't-" Lapis choked out, and then curled up and began to cry.

"L-Lapis!" Peridot gasped- "Don't cry! It's okay!"

Lapis pushed Peridot away. "You don't need me back on Earth, Peridot. The Crystal Gems are better off without me."

"N-no! Lapis! Lapis, I-"

Peridot's voice cracked.

"Lapis, I... I..."

"What?" Lapis asked, her voice more gentle.

Peridot began to cry. Lapis's tears faded as the last of them floated off her cheeks. "Peridot! I- I'm- I'm sorry...?"

Peridot glared at her. "DON'T BE SORRY!" She shouted.

"U-uh..."

Peridot turned red. "Uh, I'm, Lapis, I'm sorry..."

"Don't be." Lapis said quietly.

"Lapis, I need to tell you something." Peridot began, red and shaky and still crying.

"Anything."

"Lapis... I... I... I.... I love you...." Peridot whispered, covering her face and crying into her hands.

"Peridot." Said Lapis firmly.

Peridot looked up.

Lapis took Peridot's face in her hands, cupping her cheeks, and kissed her.

"So do I."
