"Lapis! Peridot! Yo!" Amethyst shouted.

"mmmmmAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHGH!" Peridot shouted. She had been sitting inside, kissing Lapis. She pulled away quickly and poked her head out the door. "Y-yes, Amethyst?"

"Peridot. We have an emergency." Pearl stated.

"Wha...what's going on?" Asked Lapis, beginning to panic.

"A ship. From Homeworld." Garnet said stiffly.

Lapis turned a pale, drained shade of dull blue. She began to sweat. Tears oozed out of the corners of her eyes. "No! They're coming for me!" She whispered, shaking.

Peridot had paled too, sweating and shaking. "I...I..." She choked.

Then Lapis's eyes darkened. "Come on Peridot. We have to leave. Now."

"B-but... what about Pumpkin?"

"We'll take him with us."

"The meepmorps?" 

"Those too."

"What about the barn?"

"WE'LL TAKE THAT AS WELL!" Lapis shouted. "BUT WE NEED TO LEAvE!"

"Lapis..." said Peridot. "Aren't we Crystal Gems now? We have to defend Earth!"

Lapis's water wings emerged. "Well I'm going." She snapped, flying upward.

"No! Lapis!" Peridot and Steven shouted simultaneously, but it was too late.

Peridot began to panic. "LAPIS! LAPIS! PLEASE!" But Lapis was far out of ear's reach.

"I'm sorry, Peridot. I know you were best friends. But you have to forget about her for now. We have work to do." Pearl responded coldly.

"no..." Peridot whispered, turning and running into the barn to hold Pumpkin.

"Peridot. We need your help." Said Garnet from the doorway.

"No..." Whispered Peridot.

"Well, at least come with us. If they find you here, you will be alone and they will shatter you."

"F-fine..." Peridot whispered.

So she left with the rest of the Crystal Gems.

"shh. Don't let them know you're here." Garnet whispered.

The door to the ship slid open. At a closer look, the ship was clearly a Homeworld model, but an older one, and very beat up. It looked close to a thousand years old, but Peridot couldn't comprehend it at the moment. She was too busy thinking about Lapis.

A small hooded figure stepped out of the ship. Dressed entirely in black. The figure was thin and short, but with the giant black robe covering the entire body it was hard to tell. It didn't look like it could be any taller than Peridot, though.

From the edges of the huge robe came two tiny, pale hands, slim and elegant.

The hands reached up and removed the hood. The entire robe fell away onto the ground.

In front of the Crystal Gems stood a tiny pale gem, dressed entirely in a prim, clean black dress. Her hair covered her eyes but was short, in a similar way to Padparascha's hair, but jet black and slightly shorter. On her shoulder was a single, dark, polished gem, an oval shape similar to Pearl's... but black.

The gem dropped to her knees. 

"Pink Diamond! I need to see Pink Diamond!"
