"Please!" Screamed the gem. "I need to see PINK DIAMOND!"

Her voice resonated around the clearing. A tear dripped from her chin. The she regained her composure and stood back up, turning to Pearl. "Pearl. Do you belong to Pink Diamond? Who are these vagabonds? Bring me to Pink Diamond. I have to speak to her."

Pearl blushed, looking down. "Pink Diamond... she, uh..." Steven stepped forward.

"You! What are you!" Shrieked the gem.

"I'm... I'm a human. My name is Steven. I..."

"What's a human?" The gem asked. "Oh, nevermind! I NEED TO SEE PINK DIAMOND!"

"Hang on! Whoa! Who are you?" Asked Peridot.

"I... I need to see Pink Diamond!" The gem wailed hysterically.

"I... I'm sorry... Pink Diamond was shattered many years ago."

The gem stood, thunderstruck, for a second, and then collapsed to the ground, beginning to weep. Her wailing was unearthly, full of pain and passion, like her life purpose was to find Pink Diamond, and she had failed.

"NOW MY DIAMOND WILL NEVER BE HEALED!" She screamed.

"Diamond?" Asked Steven. "I have healing powers..." He said. 

The gem crawled to Steven. "Please, oh god, please heal my Diamond!"

"Who's your diamond?"

The gem paused, then stood up, brushing her tears away. "Black Diamond. I am Black Pearl, her loyal pearl..." Black Pearl turned away.

"There were supposed to be five diamonds: Pink, Blue, Yellow, White, and Black Diamond. Black Diamond came out only a short few years before Pink. But when Black came out, the pressure was too high to create the final diamond, so her gem cracked under the stress.

She was to be shattered, her diamond buried as a reminder to whom she could have been. But I wanted her to live. I begged White to help her, to try to heal her, but White Diamond refused to help. I turned to Yellow and Blue, but they could not have cared less. They wanted to shatter her. So I fled, searching for someone to heal her.

Later I heard of Pink Diamond, and searched for her. I have spent more that six thousand years searching.

You must heal Black Diamond. Please. For me."

Black Pearl finished, tears dripping down her face.

"Bring her to me." Said Steven.
