I did not win or place. Ordinarily I don't flaunt consolation prizes, but this participation certificate is just so pretty that I want to put it on display. The Ophelia Cove makes very good graphics. 

I also got a truly awesome review from ssears90. Reading a BTS vampire fanfic was part of the contest payment, and I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. I think it's probably safe to assume my judge felt the same way about Ancilla. 

We had fun. 

I call that a good result.

Notice that last part I highlighted. I worry about the academic and philosophical discourse in Ancilla - what I call the "broccoli" - being boring, overly technical, and offputting. Seeing that I make it easy to understand and engaging is such a relief.
