A Run In
A young man, 20, to be specific; Was taking a nice walk on a bridge, admiring the water and beach below him. As much as he admired the water he never knew how to swim. He was always scared of drowning considering his lack of knowledge of swimming. He continued his walk across the wooden bridge and took a stop. He heard walking to his left but assumed it was a stranger or the friend he invited to have a picnic with. But what then he was pushed.
He felt like he was falling
He could see the blue liquid surface getting closer and closer but soon it consumed his entire vision. Although he was getting weak he turned to see who had pushed him in but it was too late.
As the body of the drowned male floats to the surface, the person on the bridge looks at him with wide eyes. They didn't know the man had not known how to swim. Not knowing what to do, they fled the scene.
Going back to the drowned male he felt the falling sensation once again. But he didn't want to see that horrid water again. However, he felt a hard concrete ground instead. He groaned, definitely not liking the feeling of the rock that he fell on. The man sat up slowly in a great deal of pain yet stopped halfway through due to hearing a loud explosion to his left. With a surge of adrenaline, he powered his way up to find shelter from the explosion and debris. Disregarding the sign he ran into the building. Once he was in he slammed the doors shut ignoring the girl on the couch.
"Umm... Hi!" said a young female voice. The man flinched at the sudden speech. He spun around and made eye contact with the young girl, who, he assumed was the same age as him. The man pointed to himself looking confused. "Me?" he asked. In reply, the girl answered, "Um yeah. No one else is here." The man blushed a slight bit feeling embarrassed. "Oh, right, yes, um... Hello." The male stammered. "I'm Charlie. What's your name?" the girl asked. "I am L/N. Y/N L/n." He answered while putting his hand out. Charlie shook his hand nicely, feeling a bit less nervous. "This is my hotel. Here in hell, I'm trying to rehabilitate demons who would like to get to heaven." Charlie exclaimed excitedly. Y/N gave a confused look and questioned, "This is hell?" Charlie kinda saddened at the question and said, "Yeah... My dad is Lucifer... It's not that fun down here....." Y/N though about what Charlie had said and tried to cheer her up again. "Well, this is better than what it's thought to be on Earth!" He said pumping energy back into Charlie.
Charlie smiled with glee and nodded. "You're right!" she said, "You should be my partner for advertising and stuff!" He had to think about it. He never knew much about politics, entrepreneurship, etc. But alas, he couldn't say no. If you ever go to hell you're gonna wanna be protected. And why not be protected by the daughter of hell. "Sure" he shrugged. "Really?!" Charlie asked with a bright big smile. "I don't see a reason not to." Y/N simply answered.
Charlie jumped in the air, ran to Y/N, and hugged the man. Y/N blanked for a few seconds but hugged back eventually. They stayed like that until Charlie let go. "Soooo, do I stay here in the hotel also?" Y/N asked. "Oh of course! Let me show you to your room!" Charlie excitedly claimed. Charlie took Y/N's arm and dragged him upstairs. His room is across from Charlies.
That night they both fell asleep happy and welcomed.
