Beginning
"I don't know what it is" a young pink haired female shouted over the loud background noise.
She was in a dark nightclub, referring to a drink another female handed her - a steaming pint glass with a near illumines green content.
"It's a 'chem tail', you gotta have it while it's still steaming" the other female responded loudly.
With narrowed eyes and an inquisitive expression - either down to wariness at the drink, or a struggle to hear and focus, the pink haired girl looked between the other female and the drink some more, before, perhaps reluctantly, taking it.
Upon taking it, the other female moved forward with her own matching drink...
"Cheers" she claimed as she gently knocked the glasses together, a gesture the other only caught up with towards the end.
The pink haired girl took a sip of the drink and winced...
"Vile" she retorted.
After downing nearly half the drink, the other woman replied "It get's worst the longer you leave it"
The two women stopped; now stood on a balcony; the nightclub scene just through an open door.
Smokers and those conversing utilised this small outdoor space.
"I can breathe!" the older woman exclaimed.
"Really?" the pink haired girl sarcastically questioned.
The older woman took out a mobile phone from her small shoulder bag... "I've royally messed up, I, I don't have a clue where to start" she claimed as she scrolled through the device.
"I think the girl in the gold hot pants was called Lucy?" the pink haired girl offered as she eyed her drink; a quarter full pint of a dark green liquid and a sticky looking drying foam that coated the empty area.
"I got a few Lucy's, I forgot to stick a date by her contact" the older replied whilst searching.
"Well I know one of the lads was called Pete, I just don't know which one?" the pink haired girl offered again.
"If I scroll down I'll have a screen full of Petes', there's always loads" she replied whilst giving up and placing her phone back "I'm so fired" she shrugged with a slight smile, yet a face which read exasperation.
"They'll be fine, they seem use to stuff like this" the pink haired claimed as she looked to her drink; she moved it to her lips.
"Don't drink it!" the older woman warned, causing the other to move the glass further from her face "once it's flat it's pretty much mouthwash"
"I thought it was getting stronger" the pink haired woman replied.
"And you know what, it's probably the least rancid thing in this place" the other claimed as she pulled off her shoes.
She held her silver stilettos in one hand; index finger hooked around their thin strip of a back.
Minus she shoes, she now stood around the same height as the younger female.
"Thought I'd be responsible by plying you lot with the weaker stuff, but, it looks like they got bored"
"They were probably just hoping to ditch me" the pink haired girl claimed.
"Don't get along with then?" the older woman asked.
"Well, I don't really know them, and honestly, I, didn't sign up for this. Why do we need a team building trip away? I'd rather just go to Uni' and work" she claimed with a noisy exhale.
The older woman nodded as she appeared to think.
"You know, you're right, you can breath out here" the younger woman claimed.
The older woman looked to her side, towards the clubs interior...
"Well, I fancy leaving, do you" she asked as she looked to the other.
"Yeah, definitely" she responded looking relived.
Outside, the two linked arms as they rushed across a busy main road.
"See, just over this bridge, that's your hotel" the older woman claimed as she pointed to a tall stretch of traditional looking buildings, her shoes dangling from around fist.
"Oh yeah" the other girl said as she looked in said direction.
"I'd show everyone this shortcut if I could, but, you know; drunks, dual-carriage ways and beaches don't mix" she explained.
"Makes sense" the pink haired girl claimed as she looked ahead towards the sand.
"It's nice to not babysit rowdy drunks, I should treat this as a reward, nah, break, before I'm fired" the older woman slightly laughed as she bought them to a halt.
The other nodded whilst maintaining her gaze.
"It would have been easier if you wondered off; only one Xiomara in my phone" she claimed.
Xiomara snapped into focus...
"Sorry, I was just..."
"Lightweight or knacked? You're miles away" the older woman stated humorously.
"No it's just, I've never seen a beach" she claimed.
After thinking for a short while, the older woman drew a conclusion...
"OK, it's illegal to use the beach at night, but...." she trailed off and stirred the other woman to their side "the beach has a little staircase to the bridge" she pointed "anyone says anything, I'll just play clueless foreigner"
Looking slightly surprised, Xiomara uttered "are you sure?"
