Tiara

The last few days has gone just like any other. I go to work with Gerald and Fiona. Then the brothers come spend time with me, some time later. They take me out for dinner after the shop closes, together or individually. Then they drop me home. The next day, it's all over the same. But recently I noticed they are all on edges. For example snapping at people for no reason. Fighting among themselves when I'm out of ear shot. Avoiding physical contact with me. And most importantly, not staying at my house anymore, resulting a lots of guards around my house all the time. Now people are even noticing.

I don't know how he could harm me but, this Uncle of theirs is not caught yet. So I guess I'm stuck is this situation untill he's eliminated. "Tiara? You got some guest." Shouted Helen from downstairs. "Guest? At this time?" I closed the book I was reading and went downstairs, only to find no other then Saphira and Saraphina sitting on the couch. "Hi...." I said, hugging them. Don't know how else to greet them. "I must say, I'm surprised to see you both here at this hour." I said, not knowing why they are here out of the blue. "Sorry to bother you at this hour but if it wasn't that serious, we wouldn't be here." Said Saphira.

"Sure. Please sit." I gestured. "Umm..This is Helen, she's my grandmother, not by blood but, she is a close family friend since I remember and was kind enough to take care of me after my family's demise and Helen? This is Saphira and Saraphina, my....mates's mothers." I said, introducing them to each other. "So good to finally meet you. My kids never stop taking about your pies." Said, Saraphina, taking Helen's hand. "Oh I'm really glad they like it and it's very nice to meet to too." Said Helen politely, serving them some drink. "How are you Tiara? You don't come to visit us anymore." Complained Saphira, pulling me to sit beside her. "I'm sorry. I know it's been a long time but I promise, I'll come visit soon." I said shyly.

"I'm sure it will be soon because we came to invite you on a 2 weeks trip to Pompeii and we start early tomorrow morning. You better not break our hearts denying to go on this trip." She said, making me blink in predicament. "Saraphina? I don't want you to feel offended but, I can't leave the shop behind for 2 whole weeks. It's near Impossible." I said, looking at both of them. "Tiara. I can't explain it now to you but, you have to trust us on this. We're trying to protect you." Said Saphira with pained expression. "You guys don't understand. I just can't drop everything and go on a vacation barely one month after my shop opening, because of some hollow threat."

They both sighed and stood up. "We understand Tiara, it's a difficult decision but trust me its for the best. We would never ask you of this, if it was a problem with enemy invasion. My sons are capable enough to protect you but sadly, its my sons you need protection from right now. You would have understood the severity of this situation, if you were a shifter." Oh now me being a human is the problem? "Protection from my mates?" I asked, not believing them for once. The Brothers would never hurt me. "You must have noticed the changes in the boys these past few days. Its the sign that you missed being a human, not that we blame you for that dear child but, if unknowingly by any means, my sons hurt you, it would kill them."

What in the name of lord are they blabbering? "But they won't Saphira. I know them that much. Don't ask me how. I just know it." I said, trying to convince them. They both sighed again. "Well..there are things you don't know about them yet and they want to keep it that way so that, you don't run away from them. This is me, their mother telling you about her sons, believe me. Also the reason why we are here today to make sure you're safe, sweet child." Saphira said, standing up. "Tomorrow I'll call back and I really prey that you change your mind. It's for everyone's well being." Said Saraphina, following her sister. "Good night Tiara. Helen can we talk to you for a second?" They said, dragging Helen with them.

I waited enxciously for Helen to come back and hear about their secret conversation but I wasn't that lucky. "Helen, what was it all about?" I asked. "It's late already Tia. Go to bed. I'll explain it all to you tomorrow." She said, ignoring my question and took the stairs. All confused I followed her to my own bedroom and layed on the bed, thinking about the conversation earlier. "What changed suddenly? I know they won't hurt me intentionally...can they?" Who can I talk to about all this? Alison and Abigail maybe aware of this situation but, what if these ladies came here alone because they don't want the others to know about it? Only one way to find out.

I Dialed Alison's number and within seconds she picked it. "Tiara? Hi. What Happened? You're calling this late. Everything OK?" I felt guilty hearing her panicked voice. "Hey. No. Everything's great. I just called to talk to you. Is this a good time?" I asked, getting up and walking towards my window. "Just give me a second." She said and then I heard shuffling from the other side. "Yeah Tiara. Tell me." She encouraged. "Nothing serious. Umn just wanted to talk to someone about your brothers, and I don't know anyone else who know them well." I played it safe. She laughed from the other side.

"So you thought it's a good idea to add the sisters to the team so that you can steel their secrets huh. Cunning." She teased. "Oops! You got me there." I laughed too. "Ha ha I'm in your team, don't worry. So what do you want to know or better question is about whom you want to know?" She came straight to the point. "I'm just worried a little. I noticed a behavioral change in them all. Do you know what happened to them?" I asked casually. "Well as per my knowledge they are fine. Although they are a little snappy because they haven't mated with you yet, I guess." She chuckled. "Oh..is that all?" I asked disappointed.

"I'm sure Tiara. If there is something, I would definitely let you know. But take my advice, move in with us. The more time they spend with you, the less rabid they would be." She joked. "I'm still thinking Alison but, I'll let you know soon. Well how's everyone else is doing?" I asked changing the subject. "All good. Though my parents are a little off now a days. I didn't pry much but, I guess they would let us know if they need our involvement right?" She said, clearing my doubts that she had no idea her mother's were here. "Right. Sorry to bother you this late at night. Did I wake you up?" I apologized. "Phew not at all. You can call me anytime. No worries." She said shaking it away. "Alright then. Call me if there is something I need to know." I said casually. "Sure will do. Good night girl." She said and I wished her the same, disconnecting the call.

I guess I have to take matters in my hands now. I must talk to the guys personally to figure out the problems, because their mothers left me clueless but who? Everyone is speaking normally and trying to act normal, when I'm around except Kaiden. He's not his flirty self anymore. Why do I have a feeling that he might answer my questions. Not thinking much about it, I dialed his number next. He received my call immediately like he was waiting for my call." T..Tiara?" I heard shuffling and a wishpered shit and then he was sober. "Did I wake you up?" I asked. "No. No I was...busy." he said busy like he didn't want me know what was he doing?

"Really at midnight?" I asked. He mummered something I didn't quite catch. "Kaiden? You there?" I asked carefully. "Yes. Yes I'm here. Umm you called this late. Any problem? Shall I check with the guards?" He asked making me chuckle. "I'm fine Kaiden. But I feel trapped. Why do you guys have to put so many guards around? The neighbors are complaining." I said, wanting him to talk. He sighed. "You know the reason why...so why ask?" He said. "I just want to go back to normal Kaiden. This is too much don't you think? Anywhere I go, they follow. I'm not a celebrity. This is not needed. " I said frustrated. The other side went quite for sometime again. Comeon Kaiden, give me something...anything.

"Do you have any other reason to call me this late at night, other then just complaining?" He spat rudely. I didn't like his tone but then I realized that he's behaving like his brothers for some reason. And I'm going to figure it out. "You don't have to be so rude Kaiden. I just needed someone to talk to and I thought..." I was caught off guard by his growl. "STOP TALKING! The only thing you're good at is talking. No offense but fuck you for using me to make you happy until you felt that you didn't need me anymore and left me wondering where the fuck I went wrong." What? I took a minute to figure out what he just said. "I did what now?" I asked confused.

"I let you in. I fucking let you in and you completely destroyed me." Is he crying? "Kaiden? I'm not sure what you're going at. When did I use you for my happiness? I damn well remember, it was you guys who wanted me in your lives and even though I knew someday you might think that I'm not good enough for you all and just like that I'll be out of my wonderland, I too gave it all. Atleast Im trying. You don't fucking have a right to tell me that I destroyed you. I'm trying my best here to fit in! DON'T FUCK WITH MY FEELINGS, JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE UNSURE OF YOUR OWN! " I snapped.

"It sucks, doesn't it? Feeling like you're not good enough." He scoffed. That's it this guy is gonna get it now. "Tiara do you know what's the worst feeling is? The feeling when you're annoying the only person you wanna talk to." Is he drunk or something? "Kaiden are you feeling OK. Are you drunk?" I asked, even if I was annoyed with him now. "Something is killing me inside, and they want me to act normal around you" He's definitely drunk. "Im in a black hole right now where I don't even know what the fuck I'm feeling anymore. Sometimes your best isn't good enough Tiara, no matter how much you pour your love for someone, they just are never enough. I just want  to die." What the fuck? Did I hurt his feelings so much that he wants to kill himself?

"Just remember this, even when I'm pissed as hell, I still love you more than anything and I need you to know that. Ok?" Oh god Kaiden. What is wrong with him? "Sometimes you need to be alone in order to find out who you really are and what you really want. You just called me in the wrong time and I snapped. Im sorry baby." I sighed. This is more fucked up of a situation then I assumed. Is he feeling rejected by me because I wasn't paying him much attention? But how do I fix it? "Kaiden? Is there something you would like to tell me? Something you need me to do, to make you feel better?" I asked. I asked and the other line went quite all of a sudden. "Kaiden? Kaiden you there?" Nothing. Oh god was he in the middle of killing himself, when I called. Oh please God no! "Kaiden!!"

"Kaiden if you're hearing me, I don't know how to make you feel loved or wanted. I know I must have hurt you deeply some how but it's not intentional, I swear. Tell me how to fix it." I asked and preyed, that Im not too late. "Mate?" Said a deep voice. "Dor..Doryu?" His dragon must have taken over. "Mate love Doryu? " he asked, making me sweat. "I like you Doryu but you know right that I'm human and I can't feel the intensity of love towards you guys the same way that you do? But trust me, I never want to hurt you. I feel the pull for you. I'm just not sure how intense." I hope atleast his dragon understands me. "Doryu mark mate this day. In the Heat I claim mate. You like?" He said. What did he mean by that? "Umn sure?"

Not knowing what a grave mistake I was doing, by agreeing to something without comprehending his words completely. I made a mistake of saying yes, unaware of the hell I'm about to bring to earth.

"DORYU COMING MATE!"
