After school finishes, Calvin suggests that they go to Peter's house to work on some of their assignments together. They walk through the front door, greeted by a cloud of smoke, the strong smell of food burning, and a worn-out looking Aunt May.
"Hey, Pete," she says, waving her arms around in the air in an attempt to waft the smoke out of the house. She realises that Calvin is standing next to him and immediately stops and tries to appear more serious. "Calvin! I didn't see you there! Come in!" she says, smiling to hide her embarrassment.
"Thank you, May," he says and gives her a small hug before stepping through the doorway. He coughs as he enters the hallway which has even more smoke than they thought. "Um, what happened here?" he asks.
"I tried to cook something seeing as Pete and I nearly always get takeout," she says. "And, well, you can tell it didn't go very well."
"Yeah, no kidding," Peter says, earning him a slap on the back of the head with an oven glove.
"I suggest you boys go upstairs so that you'll actually be able to breathe whilst you hang out." They nod in agreement and go upstairs to Peter's room. Calvin shuts the door behind them and immediately turns back around and tackles Peter onto the bed, making him scream slightly and drop his bag on the floor.
"Hey! We're meant to be doing work!" he shrieks as he tries to push Calvin off who goes limp and collapses on top of him and groans. Peter laughs. "You suggested it," he says.
"You know I didn't mean it though," Calvin mumbles into his neck.
"You need to control your hormones," Peter teases, playing with his hair. Calvin chuckles.
"What, like you?" he says, lifting his face up and grinning. Peter's jaw drops in fake shock and he lightly shoves him off of him, picking up his bag and taking his homework out of it.
"After that comment, we're definitely doing work," he smirks. Calvin laughs and kisses him on the forehead before picking up his bag from near the door.
"You're such a nerd," he chuckles.

They're working for no more than 20 minutes before a beeping goes off in Peter's closet, making both Calvin and him jump. Peter gets off his bed and runs to the trunk at the bottom of the closet where he keeps his Spider-Man suit.
"What the hell was that?" Calvin asks.
"An alert," Peter replies, taking the suit out and examining it. "I only get them when something big is happening." He pulls on the mask and lights and numbers pop up in his vision.
"What can you see?" Calvin asks.
"I don't know. It looks like something really bad has happened on Brooklyn Bridge."
"Shit. Do you have to go?" he says, looking concerned. Peter pulls off the mask and nods.
"I think so. People might really need my help," he says. He grabs the body of the suit out of the trunk and quickly strips down to his underwear. He turns to Calvin. "Could you turn around? I kinda need to take off my..."
"Oh, right. Sure," Calvin says, giving him a small smile before turning and facing the wall. Peter smiles back at him even though Calvin can't see him, before taking off his binder and pulling the suit up his legs. "So you can't wear your binder in the suit?" Calvin asks.
"Nope. It's bad for my ribs," Peter replies, getting the suit fully on and pressing his chest so that it tightens around him and pulling the mask partially over his head. "You can turn back around now." Calvin turns back and looks him up and down.
"Looking good, Spider-Man," he says winking at him.
"Shut up," Peter says before pulling him in for a quick kiss.
"Hmm. You would like that wouldn't you," he replies before pulling the mask over Peter's face. "Go get 'em, Pete." Peter jogs over to his window and opens it.
"Will do," he says, giving Calvin a salute before swinging away.
