They decide to go back to Calvin's house so that May doesn't get suspicious of them coming in late and bruised. Peter knows Calvin is desperate to talk about the whole Spider-Man situation but he doesn't feel ready yet. He only regained consciousness 40 minutes ago and he's more focused on trying to get them home.

"Here. Wear my jumper," Calvin says, wrapping it around him.

"Why?" Peter asks, puzzled. Calvin shrugs.

"I don't know. To hide your identity a bit? You look like shit," he replies.

"Fair enough," Peter says. He pulls on the hoodie and puts his mask in the pocket. It's dark out now so he's hoping no one notices that his legs are still showing the suit.

"Have you texted May yet?" Calvin asks.

"Yeah. She said she's cool with me staying over."

"Good. Let's go."

They walk through the park, only passing about ten people, none of whom seem to notice Peter's bright red spandex-covered legs. They finally make it to Calvin's house and he shows Peter up to his room. He rummages through his wardrobe, quickly pulling out a shirt and some tracksuit bottoms.

"Here," he says, handing them to Peter. "You can wear these tonight." Peter thanks him and gets changed in the bathroom. He strips down into just his boxers and looks at himself in the mirror. He cringes at his chest and groans when he remembers that he doesn't have his binder with him. He looks at his injuries and tries to ignore the dysphoria slowly creeping up on him. His arms are purple with bruises from when he stopped the car earlier. He sighs. With everything that's happened this evening, that already feels like that happened a week ago. Other than that, and his head injury which feels like it's already getting better, he's fine.

He washes his face to remove any dried blood and then pulls on Calvin's shirt and pants. Calvin's shirt is baggy enough to hide most of his curves, but he still feels vulnerable; he's never been around him like this. He doesn't have any other options so he takes a deep breath, exits the bathroom, and goes back into Calvin's room. Calvin's lying on his bed scrolling through his Instagram feed but stops when Peter enters the room.

"You alright?" he asks. Peter nods in response and sits down next to him. There are a few seconds of awkward silence before he speaks again. "We should talk about what just happened Pete," he says. Peter sighs but once again nods in response.

"What do you want to know?"

They spend the next hour and a bit discussing Peter being Spider-Man. It's weird because Calvin's the first person Peter's told, yet it doesn't seem as awkward or scary as he thought it would be. Peter tells him about how the spider bit him on a school trip to Oscorp and how his powers started developing. He tells Calvin about Tony Stark recruiting him for the Avengers and how he helped him take down Captain America. And he tells him that he's the only person outside of the Avengers that knows about this.

"Wait, really?" Calvin says, his eyes still wide from amazement after everything else Peter's told him.

"Yep. Not even Ned, MJ, or Aunt May know," he replies.

"Were you ever going to tell me? I mean, if I didn't find out," he asks.

"Yes. No. Maybe. I don't know," Peter replies, his mind jumbling all of his thoughts up. "Of course I trusted you enough to keep it a secret but... I couldn't risk it. If word got out that you knew my identity or where I lived it would put so many people in danger, Cal. Everyone at school, May, and mostly you. I couldn't let that happen." Peter feels tears starting to form in the corners of his eyes and he turns to try and brush them away. Calvin shuffles closer to him and wraps an arm around his shoulder. Peter lies down next to him and wraps one arm over his chest.

"I'm sorry I found out, Pete," Calvin says. Peter laughs, making him jump a little.

"You don't need to be sorry. It's not your fault I got stabbed in the head," he chuckles.

"It's a good thing that guy had a bad aim. I wouldn't want him to make your face look worse than it already does," Calvin replies, smirking at him.

"Was that... an insult?" Peter asks, mouth widening to an amused smile.

"Not as insulting as your face," Calvin says, shoving a hand into his face and pushing him away in mock disgust.

"Hey! I took a knife for you!" Peter yells, his voice muffled by Calvin's fingers. Calvin removes his hand from Peter's face and wraps his arms around him in a hug.

"And I couldn't thank you enough for that," he says. He leans down and kisses Peter's forehead, making him blush and grin from ear to ear.

"You're damn lucky I didn't use my super-strength on you," Peter threatens.

"Whatever Spider-Boy."
