Dawn was too sweet to accept me to stay at her house after everything I told her. It's crazy how people could be so forgiving, it's a gift; however, some people never forgive or forget even if no harm has been done to them.

I was so rude with many people, for a reason and for no reason. I hurt Dane, dated his brother and broke him to pieces even though I tried to fix it but it was too late. I don't know how I hurt Xander, maybe my way of talking, maybe the OCD I had. I don't know... but what I know is that I did fall for him.

Joel was my best friend, a good friend, one that was there for me, even when I was literally driving him to death. He's the reason why I'm alive.

Irene.. my beautiful cousin... I already knew about her and my father, she told me but I never really cared. Not about him, nor my mom and how that would make her feel. She was my sister, she was by my side through my craziness and ruthlessness.

Xander took them away.. He took a lot of things away..

"Good morning" Dawn walked into the room, smiling.

"Hey.." I smiled back

"How are you feeling, today?" She asked sitting down beside me

"Better, thanks to you"

"Don't be like that, anyone would've done the same.."

"Hard to believe.." I sighed

"Don't you want to call anyone? This Leo guy or the Mia girl? Dane?"

"I might call Leo, it's the only number I know"

She smiled slightly and put her hand in her pocket pulling her phone out then handing it to me "There you go" she said "Call whoever you want, I'll go make us dinner"

"Thank you," I said to her back as she left the room

I held the phone opening it and clicking on the keypad, as I started to collect Leo's number in my brain and pressing dial on the screen.

I put the phone to my ear and waiting as the phone rang. After 4 rings with no answer I started to feel bored, I looked at the phone and waited a bit more till the minutes started counting

"Hello?" I called "Leo?"

"Yes this is his phone" a girl replied

"Mia? It's me, Chanel"

"Chanel!" She exclaimed "Where the fuck are you? We've been trying to find you."

"Xander drove us into an accident. He tried to kill me"

"What?"

"Yeah.. I'm at Dawn's house now"

"Who's Dawn?"

"She's lives in my neighbourhood, I'm hiding at her house, Dane knows her."

"Oh. Okay cool, I'll ask him and we'll all come to take you and find another hiding place"

"Okay. Please tell Leo to call me back."

"Will do, Chan"

"Bye"

"Bye"

We hung up and I walked out of the room and to the kitchen where Lily and Dawn were sitting

"Hey Chanel" Lilly smiled, transforming my "Ch" to a "Th" which I thought made my mood ten times better every time she says it.

"Hey, beautiful" I smiled and kissed her cheek

"I hope you like homemade pizza" Dawn smiled

"It smells amazing, so I'm sure I'd love it"

Mia

I walked into the basement and switched the lights on

"This is so sad" I sighed "You two deserved better, honestly," I said moving around hearing mumbles that probably curse words "So impolite" I sat on my knees

"Gentlemen. Mommy." I started "Chanel will be joining you soon, as soon as I reach Xander, we'll be done with this" I smirked "I'm sorry you're tied like that Leo, I wish you were on our side. You, Dane, you're way too smart to have forgiven her. It's so sad.. I despise you, both of you."

Chanel

I was sitting on the couch with Lilly beside me watching TV and eating pizza when Dawn decided she had to go to the grocery store so she was getting dressed to leave.

Lilly is the sweetest creature ever. Of course, she hosted me a tea party, she told me family secrets and told me she will protect me against evil. What more could I possibly need?

I tried my best to dismiss the fact that I have someone trying to kill me, by thinking about the fact that I'm somewhere nobody knows about and I'm protected.

Every now and then, I look out the window at my house to check if anyone was there.. I even spotted my father and detective talking, probably about mom. Maybe they found her? Maybe.

"Chanel" Lilly called

"Yes, sweety?"

"I want my hair to be red like Ariel."

"But you look beautiful that way"

"Chanel!" She glared at me "She's a princess!"

"I'll try to convince Dawn," I said laughing

"Yes!" She squeaked and jumped onto my arms on the couch

"What is going on here?" Dawn entered the living room with a smile on her face

"I'm being bribed with hugs" I smiled

"Let me guess" she started "Pink hair?"

"Close. Red."

"Oh lord," she said shaking her head "I'm gonna go and come back in like half an hour. Take care of yourself"

"I will" Lilly answered but I knew Dawn was talking to me and I nodded in response

"Alright" she sighed and opened the door then left

"I'm gonna get water," Lilly said, jumping off the couch and walking into the kitchen

I heard a thud outside the door then the door getting unlocked

"What did you forget, Dawn?" I shouted

"You," Xander said walking in with Dawn in front of him with a gun to her head

I stood up and stared at Dawn who looked at me with teary eyes full of terror. I knew she was scared of Xander, but she was worried about Lilly.

"Chanel, you want water?" Lilly said entering the living room

Time froze for a second. I struggled to know what to do, between my friend who has a gun currently to her back, my ex-boyfriend who's holding the gun and the innocent girl that has nothing to do with all of this.

"Lilly, sweetheart" I started "We're all gonna play hide and seek. I want you to go hide in the best hiding place ever and I will come find you, but don't come out or you'll lose the game. We don't want Dawn's friend to win, if he didn't, I will dye your hair red"

"Oh my god! Okay!" She ran off, hopefully, to hide where we can't find her

"Xander.." I started "Let her go.."

He laughed loudly and looked at me "No."

"Xander, please. There is no need for all of this, this is meaningless. She did nothing. This is between us"

"You involved her. Do you think you can hide from me? That easily? No Channy"

"Xander.."

"Shut up" he yelled yanking Dawn, wrapping his arm around her throat and putting the gun to the side of her head "How does it feel? Feeling like you are the reason for someone's death?" He stopped for a second "How did it feel when you knew Joel is dead? All because of you, because he tried speaking."

"Joel?" Dawn whispered "The tear moving down her cheek"

"Would it feel worse when you know how much he struggled, how loud he mumbled in pain under that pillow? Poor thing."

"No.." My heart sunk deep down somewhere inside me as I gulped the lump in my throat, feeling my breath getting heavy. Even heavier when I looked at Dawn who's legs started losing balance like she was falling into the seven seas.

"Go to her" Xander said close to her ear as he let her go pushing her into my direction

She obeyed and hesitantly started walking my way. She threw herself into my arms then whispered "I forgive you.. I'm finally going to see him.."

"What?" I asked

"Run" she whispered

Just then her eyes widened and her breath stopped. My hands felt slippery and wet, I blinked quickly as I looked at my hand that was covered in red "No" I shook my head as my brain struggled to thing as I slowly landed down on my knees with Dawn in my arms.

"That's sad.." He commented "How hard is it losing someone you love? Someone who helped you? Someone who was there when you were alone?"

I looked up at him and stood up "I will come with you, no resistance, no nothing, just let me make one last phone call

"Detective Patrick?" He asked with a smirk

"No.. My dad, please"

"Okay, but you better not do anything stupid, Channy" he got his phone out and dialled my dad's number then gave me the phone

"Hi, Xander" he answered

"Hey, Dad"

"Chanel, where are you?" He yelled

"I'm fine, I'm with Xander," I said looking at him "He's keeping me safe. I want to ask you for a favour"

"What?"

"There's a house in front of ours, belongs to a girl named Dawn James. She has a little sister called Lilly, I want you to go to their house and tell Lilly to come out from her hiding and that she won and that you're gonna dye her hair red. Take her in, dad. Take care of her, please. Till I come back"

"Chanel-"

I hung up before he said anything or questioned anything I said.

I looked at Xander and gave him the phone then nodded "Okay.." as he gripped my arm and pulled me out of the house, as I took one last look at Dawn who was laying on the floor in her blood

"She's going to see him.. She's going to be fine.."
