By gods - not her again.

There was a loud, high-pitched squeal heard somewhere far in the distance and Leon cursed under his breath. Fuck, not again. Not today. His day really was tiring enough, even without that. And it wasn't as if there was anything out of ordinary about it - he even started getting used to the weariness, to be honest - but it didn't make it any better. Work, work, work! Adult life really felt frustrating.

The sound of cheerful hop-skips was approaching at a threatening speed and anxiety settled deep in his consciousness. Fuck. He knew there was no escape now.
There she was: the being known to him under a very unoriginal codename he came up with by himself, and one he was stupidly proud of for no reason: 'The Fangirl'.

Not to brag, but Leon knew his appearance was nothing to sneeze at. Apparently he was beauty,he was grace, and so on, blah, blah. More accurately - he was rather handsome, and he was perfectly aware of that. Still, he considered it more of a curse than a blessing. Why? Oh, the answer was steadily getting closer and closer. He could already see her in the distance, too.

He just wanted some goddamn peace.
Fuck.

Look at him go-- pacing unusually quickly down the street, with his fists clenched tightly and expression fixed on '#7 endless terror' setting. He was honestly afraid - and to truly express what is meant by that, he wasn't usually a scaredy-cat type. Aside of that current weakness, though, he was focused on his goal; which was, in this particular moment, avoiding the Object F.

"LEOOOON! Leon, heeeere!"
Oh, that voice. As subtle as a thousand of needles being sticked into your feet, as comforting as a hundred of wasps buzzing unsafely close to your ears. Shortly speaking - he was absolutely sure it was somehow designed to be an annoyance for all. He sighed with a pained frown, but the girl didn't hear that, or maybe she pretended not to.
Most of the times (how conveniently!) she wouldn't accept him declining any of her wonderful (only in her own opinion) ideas. It was as if she didn't really hear or recognize the magical, two-letter word that started with 'N' and ended with an 'O'.

Happily, she skipped her way towards the male, bearing a wide grin on her face and spreading the aura of bubbly happiness all around her whole existence. It was so unbearably sweet, it was slowly making Leon feel sick. To him, it was deeply unsettling, and to such a degree that he would really prefer to get stabbed in the neck rather than be forced to stand another encounter. Maybe that was some sort of a way out? It could be, but- Well, he had to do something less deadly, or try at the very least.

He took a deep breath in, then slowly let it out trying to calm down and time the whole situation out as properly as possible. It couldn't be too hard, right?! ... Well, so he hoped initially. And when the girl finally approached, he was more or less ready.

As soon as she was close enough, the girl proceeded to give him an overly loud, personal-space-invading greeting.

"Leon! You must listen to me this time!" She chirped, swaying from side to side when she pulled away, as excited as always. (Where did sheeven get all the energy for that - and everything else - from?! Leon suspected it was either of two options: 1. some sort of drugs, or 2. she drained it from her surroundings somehow.)

''How long it's been! It's almost as if you were hiding from me!"
Well, if he were to be honest, he was. Soon after that statement, there came the words he was fearing the most.

"Leon, let me ask: why won't you go out with me?"

And Leon was absolutely terrified. He smiled, but it was an empty smile - as one of a lost child. He wasn't really sure what was he doing, his body as if working on its own in a desperate attempt of saving itself and its endangered sanity.
"Uh.. Hey. Yeah." He stuttered out, trying to buy himself some time, glancing around frantically; hoping to find some kind of a way out.

"Ah- there you are!" He called out suddenly, not even having to fake the relief in his voice; waving with a vague gesture at the first person he caught in his sight - some unknown boy walking peacefully (and definitely not suspecting anything) somewhere behind the girl's back. In response, the stranger stopped in his tracks and pointed a finger at himself, as if soundlessly asking– me?

Leon acted without much consideration – in the end it was better that than nothing, wasn't it?Even if that would mean the possiblity of the boy being emotionally scarred for the next eternity. He'd pay back somehow. Or so he hoped.

Before she could realize anything he rushed in his direction, acting as if they knew each other for at least an eternity.
He stopped by the boy's side and almost immediately pulled him into a hug, continuing to speak loud enough for the girl to hear every single word.

"What took you so long? I was really getting worried!" And after a short second he added, much more quietly, in a distressed whisper: "Please, play along. Please."
The despair in his tone must have been clear enough - the stranger didn't seem to hesitate. The confidence in his actions was another story, though; the boy's only immediate reply was a short nod of his head and a smile widelyknown as 'I-absolutely-don't-know-what-I'm-doing'..

"Ah, sorry, it's... Uh, there was an accident. Road accident. Two of them. Three, actually. A complete massacre. My dog kinda caused it all, too. Good thing that I got out of there alive." A short, nervous chuckle escaped his mouth as he scanned their faces to see if it was good enough, and whether she bought it or not (she looked horrified). In the end, he muttered:

"...Too much? 'kay. Sorry. Anyway..." He smiled, giving Leon a slightly awkward pat on his back. "It's good to see you." He replied in a soft tone, though still being fully aware of the girl behind their backs, and making sure she would hear every word and see every tiny gesture - including a brave, short kiss he placed on the other male's cheek moments after.

Wit ha wide smile, Leon turned back to face her.

"See, I couldn't possibly-- I'm taken. Dating this very cutie right here." Leon grinned, pointing at the other male with his one hand, but keeping the other still wrapped loosely somewhere near his waist.

There was a moment of silence, but a suspicious question soon broke it.
"But where is your dog now? Seems like you don't have him around?" She did take a second to ask, but her voice definitely sounded distrustful. She had the right to ask that: in Leon's honest opinion, that boy looked like he wouldn't manage to keep a rabbit on a leash, not even talking about a dog... And Subject F seemed to be painfully aware of that fact as well. She didn't manage to catch her victim off guard, though.

"No. Not since the accident." He responded gravely, even adding a prolonged, sad nod. Something not to be questioned, in his own opinion. Leon, however, realized that his whole plan is going to fall apart completely if he allows this conversation to continue, so he raised his arm to make an exaggerated gesture of checking the time on an imaginary wristwatch and loudly exclaimed:

"Would you LOOK at that! We're going to be late! We must go, right now, immediately." He had already reached to hold his companion's handas he was finishing to speak, planning to simply leave the scene now, but the sharp voice pierced the air once more:

"Wait!!-"

Oh,no.

"So you guys are, like... dating for real? You never told me anything..."

Leon stopped and glanced at the sky to mutter a short prayer to whatever deity was listening at the moment. An unspeakable relief, really: for a second he thought she'd ask to come with them. And he had already ran out of excuses.

"Totally." He replied as he turned around with a wide smile, and after that - as if for further confirmation - placed a soft peck on the stranger's forehead. (Mind you, his companion was a fair bit shorter than he was.)
