I paced anxiously in the hospital room. It was all my fault. I shouldn't have pushed Nico to reveal his secrets. After he had turned into that tornado of death, I had picked him up bridal style and carried him to the school nurse. I could've imagined what he would say: you idiot! Put me down now I swear! Despite my anxiousness, I let out a chuckle. I placed my hand on his forehead. He had gotten extra colder. Is it because he isn't mortal. Is that why the school remedies aren't working? I stood up from Nico's bedside and rummaged through his back. Cmon please have something I could use, I prayed to the death God. Hey if the myths were true, demigods were humans with godly powers. I definitely would've known if Nico wasn't human. He was as human as you and I. Just one that has gone through so much. I found it my job to protect him, and hold him in my arms. I don't know why, I'm crazy yes I know. After a minute of searching, I came up with a small package filled with brownies. Although I was pretty sure they were no where close to brownies. I took a chance and slipped one in his mouth. Nico relaxed, his body also warming up slightly. I let out a huge sigh. Yay! Go doctor Solace! Nico stirred, opening his eyes. "So cold," he muttered before falling asleep again. He looked so adorable and helpless, I couldn't resist. But I forced myself to. We didn't need him waking up and freaking out. I was content just watching him sleep. No I'm not a stalker. After a few minutes Nico started thrashing in his sleep. I slipped into the covers and wrapped my arms around him. He started clinging to me. If he wakes up and starts yelling at me, all his fault because he was too adorable for me to resist.

These monsters were endless! I attacked another dragon and an infinite amount of curses. I've done a lot of bad things to monsters, obviously they'll be curses. Finally a vampire lady attacked me. I wasn't quick enough. I thrashed and started screaming as she got painstakingly close. Suddenly I felt something warm wrap around me and pull me out of Tartarus. That had never happened before. I would be killed and then I would wake up. That's the way it works. I had never been rescued before. I forced my eyes open. Those warm arms were still there. I'm probably still half dreaming, but why am I hanging on a person for dear life? The view came into focus and the person I was holding onto was not just any person but will. I yelped and fell of the hospital bed. Will got up to and looked at me worriedly. "Are you ok?"
"Uh yeah. Sorry for holding onto you," I blushed.
"Oh no it's all right." Was it my fever deprived brain or did will blush? Nah.
I looked away, trying to remember what actually happened. I remember getting frustrated, ok furious at will for underestimating the pain I have to go through. He's probably never going to understand that the utmost wish of demigods is to have a normal life. We always want what we can't get. It might've been my fault too. I shouldn't have flipped out.
"Uh Nico?" Startled, I turned to look at him. "Yeah?" Will looked like a penitent puppy. "I'm sorry about getting so excited about your powers. It's just I dream about finding proof that the imaginary world I see isn't imaginary. People think I'm crazy. My own parents stopped wanting to associate with me. Only my sister Lou Ellen tries to understand, but I know she secretly blames me for the disappearance of my parents." Will had looked away. I had no idea. I thought his life was perfect. He always seemed so bright and happy. I would never think that he was just as isolated as I was. Will looked back at me with his same bright smile. "Well it's great that we had this heart to heart chat. And we both skipped PE. Woohoo!" Will pumped his fist in the air. "Well, it's 6th period now, I had wheedled the nurse into letting me stay. She likes me," will smirked. "Well get better–"
"Will," I whispered. "Can you please stay with me?" I didn't think it was possible for will's ear splitting grin to get wider. "Sure I can death boy." What is wrong with me?! What if he gets the wrong idea! "I sound like a maiden," I grumbled, not realizing that will was right behind me. "Oh but gods forbid you becoming a maiden! Then you couldn't be a little death boy." Great he heard me. "Don't call me death boy," I snapped. "Oh cmon, pleaaaaase?" He whined. Why was it so hard to say no to this boy? "Fine," I muttered.
       "Yay! Hey why don't you make me a nickname?" Will asked. I turned to look at him, and sighed. This kid needs psychotic assistance. "Ok fine, I will, but only if you need to tell me how you found out about my identity." I smiled to put will at ease, but seriously I wanted to know.
       "I had my suspicions when I saw your sword, and that no one seemed to be able to see you," he explained.
      "Well sunshine, you've confirmed my suspicions for me too," I said, trying the word sunshine in my mouth. It sounded weird, maybe cause I haven't smiled or laugh in a long time. "You're not an ordinary person. You can see through the mist," I explained. Will's eyes widened. "Cool!" I rolled my eyes. "That's no where near cool. Not only can monsters put interest on you, you can't protect yourself when they attack."
Will frowned. "I have seen a lot of monsters staring at me, but now it's okay." He pulled me into a big hug. "I've got a death boy to protect me now!"
       "Will you are strangling me," I spluttered. He let me go. "That's not my name," he winked. "Sunshine you're an idiot," I grumbled.  "But I'm your idiot." I tried to push him away, but he just wrapped his warm hands around me. I sucked in my breath as his face started getting closer. And he started tickling me. I shrieked with laughter as he kept poking my waist. "Sunshine stop! I'm an invalid!" I giggled. "Fine but only if you're an invalid," he smirked.
         I glared at him. "You idiot."
You mean "YOUR idiot" Will laughed. "No I mean you idiot, we are not on that level yet," I snorted but secretly I felt sad. I would love to be on that level if it was with him.
      "Did you just say yet? YET?" Will gasped. "Does that mean I still have a chance?" I blushed. "Huh?"
       "Nico... I have no idea how to tell you this, but–" the door opened. It was the nurse. "Will, all the other teachers excused you because you were with the new student, who we're going to go ahead and diagnose with hypothermia attack. I guess his parents need to pick him up. Your 7th period teacher doesn't believe that you should skip your guitar practice."
        "My parents aren't here yet," I mumbled.
"Well I guess Will can come and drop you after schools over." The nurse advised.
     Will stood up. "Hope you get better soon, Nico." He walked out closing the door behind him. I stared at the door. What was he going to tell me?
