I stood in front of my dad. I honestly extremely definitely did not want to be here. Why? Because arguing with my dad was a pain in the culo. Especially now, since he was dealing with a rather stubborn ghost, who had been flirting with my godly step mom non-stop. Hades definitely did not like it, yet Persephone forbade him from vaporizing the ghost. But I try not to get involved with my parents, I have my own love life to deal with.

"So let me get this straight," Hades rested his chin in his hands. "You like a boy? Who's a mortal?"

I considered summoning skeletons, but decided against it. Will wouldn't like that, and it would make my job much harder. So I grit my teeth. "For the 12th time, yes I'm dating a mortal boy."

He frowned. "We'll get to that later." Persephone squealed. "When can I meet him? You must be so cute together!" She began fangirling like a teenage girl. "When he dies," Hades snapped bluntly. Persephone pouted. "You're such a spoilsport." Me and Hades both glared at her. For once we both agreed on one thing.

Hades sighed. "We're getting off topic here. Nico you want me to sponsor a quest for you and a mortal boy? Without a prophecy? Do you know how much trouble I could get in?"

I looked at him directly for the first time in a long time. "Believe me, I know. I just couldn't bear it if Will went through the same pain of losing his sister that I went through." Without realizing it, I began to spill everything that had happened in the past day, just like how people talked in a normal family. "And surprisingly, he shut up and listened.

When I had finished, he stood up. "I guess I did a good thing by sending you there then.  At least you've learned how to have a proper relationship with someone you love. Even if I don't really approve," he mumbled under his breath. Persephone elbowed him. "Nico you can date anyone you like." She braced herself. "Hades you can dissolve that adorable ghost if you sponsor the quest."

Hades rubbed his temple. "Zeus is going to skin me, but fine. Nico, you may go with Will to bring his sister back." I looked up at him. My Pandora's box captured hope once again.

Persephone ruffled my hair. Because of my excitement, I forgot to slap her hand away. "But you have about a day before Zeus finds out and stops you, so travel fast."

I nodded. "Yes sir." Hades let out a rare smile. "Gods don't bet, but if we did I'd be betting on you." He pointed to a wall, turning it into a shadowy door. "This will take you home." He tilted his head. "Something bad is happening at the high school."

The first thing that came to me was "Will's at the highschool!" I cried. Hades smacked his palm. "I'm a fool! Your boyfriend is being targeted by the Laurence boy." I knew it. Oh shit I had warned him not to go! If Will got hurt or kidnapped, it would be all my fault. No, I would never let it happen. Clenching my fists, I choked out, "Take me to the High School."

"As you wish," Hades nodded to the door, and I stepped through it.
