A bad influence
-Later on-
Now that Athena was a bit older, her armor had a chance to harden and become stronger. That meant she could play with things other than toys. Things, more like bots, like Sunstreaker and Sideswipe.
They had been asking, no, begging Ratchet to let them play with Athena. Every day they would come in and ask if they could play with her, and they always got the same answer: NO. That is until today, when that answer turned out to be yes.
"Oh my gosh finally! Thank you Ratchet, we promise to be extra careful!" Sunstreaker exclaimed, poking Athena's helm curiously.
Ratchet rolled his optics and grumbled something to himself. He didn't like the idea of the twins playing with his sparkling, but Wheeljack was busy and he needed to get work done. "Just remember, she's much younger than you so don't play rough. Also, I'll be right here if anything happens. You two don't leave my sight, understand?"
They both nodded vigorously, wide smiles on their faces. Ratchet sighed and focused on his work, hoping that nothing went wrong.
"Hiya Athena! I'm Sunny! Can you say Sunny?" Sunstreaker asked, sitting down on the floor next to Athena.
Athena stopped playing with her toys and looked at Sunstreaker. "Sunny!" She giggled, clapping her hands.
"Yes! She said my name! Beat that, Sides!" Sunstreaker gloated, pumping his fist in the air.
"Whatever..." Sideswipe groaned, plopping down on the other side of Athena. "Athena, can you say Sides?"
"S-Sides!" Athena squealed, waving the toy in her hand around.
Sideswipe looked at Sunstreaker with a smug look on his face, making him frown.
"Wanna play!" Athena chirped, banging two blocks together.
"Okay, lets play! What are we playing?" Sunstreaker asked, looking at Athena as she was building with blocks.
"Bocks!"
"Bocks? Oh, she means blocks! Lets build something Sides." Sunstreaker snickered, taking a few blocks and starting to build something.
The twins began building a small house, but ran out of blocks halfway through because they didn't have enough.
"Aw man, it was gonna look so cool.." Sideswipe sighed.
Suddenly, Athena pushed herself to her pedes on her own and pretended to roar, waddling over to the twins's house and knocking it over. "Haha! It go boom!"
"Woah, did you learn that word from Wheeljack?" Sunstreaker laughed.
"Probably, he's obsessed with explosives..." Sideswipe muttered, rolling his optics.
"I heard that!" Ratchet snapped over his shoulder, startling the twins.
"Sorry Doc, we didn't mean to be rude to your 'sweetspark' hehe." Sunstreaker giggled.
Ratchet slammed down the tool he was using, calmly walking over to where they were playing.
"Watchet!" Athena giggled, reaching up to him.
"Just a moment, dear. I have to deal with a certain someone who doesn't have respect." Ratchet growled, grabbing Sunstreaker by the back armor and dragging him out into the hallway.
"Ahhh! No, Sides help me!" Sunstreaker yelled as he was beat over the head with a wrench.
Sideswipe only laughed, encouraging Athena to laugh and clap her hands. Once Sunstreaker returned, he had a big dent mark on his forehead from where Ratchet struck him.
"Sunny urt?" Athena asked, tilting her helm.
"Yeah, but don't worry kid. He deserved it." Sideswipe giggled, earning a smack to the helm from Sunstreaker.
"Easy now! We don't want to teach Athena violence! Ratchet will scrap us if we do.." Sideswipe whispered to Sunstreaker.
"That's true..." Sunstreaker sighed, rubbing his forehead.
"Vroom vroom!" Athena giggled, making car noises as she pushed a toy car around on the floor.
"Hey, that one looks like me!" Sunstreaker snickered, pointing to the sleek yellow sports car toy sitting next to her.
"Nah, this one looks more like you." Sideswipe giggled, pointing to an old rusted truck toy.
"Why you!" Sunstreaker growled, tackling Sideswipe to the ground and wrestling with him.
Athena was scared by them fighting and she crawled over to Ratchet, hiding between his legs.
"What is it, sweetie?" Ratchet asked, glancing down at Athena.
"Dey urting each oder." Athena whimpered, pointing to the wrestling twins.
"Oh for the love of.... hold on honey, I'll be right back." Ratchet grumbled, storming over to the twins.
Athena watched with interest as her sire pulled the twins apart, banged them together, and tossed them out into the hallway. She squealed, clapping her hands.
"I'm glad you enjoy that, but you must understand that violence is not always the answer. Okay?" Ratchet smiled, lifting her up and kissing her on the forehead.
"Otay!" Athena giggled, cuddling up against Ratchet's warm chestplate.
