Chapter Nine: Camping Like Losers
"Tomorrow, Grandpa is coming, and we're gonna go camping." Mom said.
"Yeah, camping!" Kazuto said.
"Ugh, why camping?" I said.
"Because we're gonna have some fun and stop using our phones for a while." Mom said.
"Ok, fine." I said.
The next day...
"Hello!" Grandpa said.
"Hello Grandpa!" Kazuto said, hugging him.
"Hey Grandpa." I said, hugging him.
"So, you all have your tents?" Grandpa said.
"Yes." Kazuto and I replied.
"Ok, so let's get going." Grandpa said.
He got in Grandpa's car.
After an hour passed, we finally made it to the forest.
"We're here!" Grandpa said.
"I brought snacks!" Kazuto said.
"And I brought bug spray." I said.
"Ok, let's set up the tents!" Mom said.
Later...
The tents were set up and Grandpa grabbed a match, scratched it with the box, and fire appeared. He threw the match to a pile of sticks he put all together, and fire appeared in the bunch of sticks.
"Aaah, warm fire." Grandpa said.
I grabbed the water bottle and started drinking.
"What's that tickling I'm feeling?" I said.
"Yeah, it itches." Kazuto said, scratching his butt.
"It's fire ants! Fire ants in the log!" I said.
"Aaaah, it itches so muuuuch!" Kazuto said.
"*Laughs* Oh, comedy gold!" Grandpa said.
The next day, it was December 2.
"Akira, wake up. Wake up!" Kazuto said in my tent.
"What do you want?" I said.
"It's snowing!" Kazuto said.
"What?" I said.
"See for yourself!" Kazuto said.
I got out of my tent and it really was snowing.
"What the?" I said.
"See?" Kazuto said.
"Aw what?! It's snowing! How are we gonna camp now?" Grandpa said.
"We won't, Grandpa. It's snowing." I said with my arms crossed.
"Aww, oh well. Guess we should be heading back. Kazuto, go wake up your mother." Grandpa said.
"With pleasure." Kazuto said.
Kazuto went and entered Mom's tent.
"*Deep Breathes* *Speedy* Mom, IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY, WAKE UP, WAKE UP!!!!" Kazuto said.
Mom then punched Kazuto.
I chuckled.
"*Sighs* Classical Kazuto.
