IX.
Elizabeta's forest green eyes were narrowed slightly as she straightened up, ignoring the harsh glare Inosuke was sending her. The prince could not have known about their arrivals so fast, it was simply impossible, unless... He knew of the occurrence last night. Well, it would make sense, since it was more or less a bloodbath. Yet she suspected it was something else. It just seemed unlikely. She took a good, long hard look at the prince, taking in his features and anything else worthy of note; His icily pale blonde hair that was neatly slicked back, a circlet of gold surrounding his brow, his sharp features, his thin lips shaped into a polite smile, and his silvery grey eyes, which were almost metalically dull, but seemed to look right through her chillingly. There was more to this young man than met the eye, far more, and the realisation was oddly terrifying, yet satisfying. She had also not ignored what Inosuke had said; He was a buffoon, but he also seemed to have animalistic senses. Why would he be able to smell dirt on a prince? It was not proper actions for royalty to be outside and engage in activities that got them filthy. "Shall we?" The prince, Eiichi, gestured towards the road once more, and she glanced at Inosuke, who seemed, unsurprisingly, angered at something, and was now glaring straight at the blonde prince. Sighing softly, she turned her gaze back at Eiichi and nodded, waiting for him and his guard to go on first. They did, and she made certain of the fact there was some distance between them and herself and Inosuke before they followed."You know him?" She asked in a near whisper, never once taking her eyes off the two ahead, who kept glancing back to make sure they were following, and likely to keep an eye on them as well. In her peripheral vision, she saw Inosuke's lip curl slightly; In anger, or disgust?
"No." He replied bluntly, and whilst she believed him, it was still curious as to why he seemed to harbor such a strong dislike towards the prince. She herself was suspicious, but not to the point of dislike or such. The prince suddenly slowed his step, that polite smile never leaving his lips in a pestering manner. He made it so he was within earshot of the two, and asked; "Oh, I never did get your names." Odd, civilized people usually wanted to know other's names first, before anything. "Elizabeta Herdervary." She responded simply, and almost slapped a palm to her face in expatriation when Inosuke's response was a barked; "Why would you need to know?" The prince only chuckled lightly, though.
