Finally, the Phantom 2 is about to come out of hyperspace as Sabine turns angrily to me, confused why Ezra went with Maul.

"Why is Ezra so willing to trust Maul again and again?..."

To be honest, I didn't know what Ezra was up to. But I do know, he's only trying to protect both of us along with the others. "I don't think he is, but I do know he's taking a big risk for all of us. speaking of which, where is Maul taking the kid anyway?..."

Sabine turns to the tracking device, before speaking up. "It seems that he's taking Ezra to his home planet of... Dathomir?..."

Wait?... That was the planet of the night sisters!...

"Dathomir is the planet where Darth Sidious took Maul from his mother and brother. After Maul killed Obi-Wan Kenobi's master, the boy killed him and left him for dead on Naboo. By the time the Empie had taken over the galaxy, all the night sisters and brothers were killed... Everyone but Maul!..."

I was shocked that I didn't know which was worse; the night sisters or Maul himself!... Soon the ship landed on Dathomir's red mistful sand. Both me and Sabine walk out onto the scary planet.

"Well... The good news is that Maul's ship's still here!... The bad news... No sign of him or Ezra!..."

Suddenly, we both started to hear some screaming that sounded like the night sisters in the stories we both used to hear as kids!...

"(SHIVERS) Sith lords aren't the only thing that Ezra needs to look out for!..."

Suddenly, I hear Ezra's distressed voice!... "Wait wait, wait! What's happening What is that?" To be honest, ever since this morning I never thought that I would hear his voice again. Sabine follows the sound of Ezra's voice's a secret cave.

"Kanan! They're supposed to be inside that cave!..."

The both of us rush to see the night sisters spirits floating right above Ezra and Maul!...

"Pay our due..."

"The spirits of the Nightsisters must be compensated for the use of their magic."

"So pay 'em, and let's get out of here!"

"The price is our flesh and blood! Don't let them touch you!"

"Now you tell me?"

As soon as the thought of Ezra being used as a servant popped into my mind, me and Sabine rushed toward where the kid was. "Ezra!"

The spirits moved closer to Ezra and began chanting: "Pay our due!"

Ezra saw it too and noticed our arrival. "Kanan, Sabine! Stay back!"

Not listening to Ezra's warning, both me and Sabine pulled out our weapons. But Sabine's blasters and my lightsaber did not have any effect on them!... Suddenly, one of the spirits reaches out towards Sabine grabs hold of her mind, causing her to panic.

"(SCREAMING IN PAIN.)"

Sabine's body collapses as the green mist around her fades. I immediately clutch her in my arms just as another spirit approaches me. it reaches for my body as my body begins to scream out in pain as well...

"(SCREAMING IN PAIN.)"

As my body collapses from the spirit's power, the last thing I remember is Ezra's concerned Force signature and Maul's warning voice. "Ezra! Stay back!"

The next thing I knew is that I woke up in a misty dark place with nothing but green magic and darkness."Where am I?... What did you do to me?!"

"You belong to us now, Jedi!..." A sinister voice echoed in my head before coming face to face with the green glowing spirit. "We will rebuild the Nightsisters with you and your Mandalorian friend's body as our vessels. I'm sure that your padawan would make an excellent slave for us."

Immediately, I couldn't stop my own body from moving and panicked when my lightsaber was pulled out of my hands. I instantly warned her not to hurt Ezra. "Hey... You hurt one hair on his head!..."

The spirit wasn't worried and just cackled at me. "Oh, don't worry. Your body will be well-taken care of. After we capture the boy, you can have him as your servant and help us rebuild our clan. What is your friend up to?... Let's see!..."

She shows a green magical vision tv showing what is happening to Ezra outside my mind. Maul is still warning Ezra to stay back, but Ezra approaches me and Sabine anyway.

"Kanan?... Sabine?..."

However, neither of us hear his voice due to being possessed by the spirits. Sabine grabs a Dark lightsaber as I pick up my lightsaber as well. Both our eyes are glowing green as Sabine attacks Ezra!...

"Sabine! It's Ezra!"

I could see that Ezra only brought his saber up to defend himself, not to hurt Sabine. When I raised my weapon to attack Maul, the former Sith Lord brought his saber up defend himself as well. All of a sudden, I could sense Ezra's concern for me, fearing Maul would try to hurt me!...

"You better not hurt him!..."

A part of heart swelled with joy that even in a situation like this, Ezra was still worried and concerned about me. But I knew that Maul and Ezra could not keep this up forever!...

"We cannot defeat the spirits of the Nightsisters! Follow me. I will show you how to save your friends."

Ezra immediately followed him as the possessed me follows him along with Sabine. "Faster! We must reach the cave entrance."

Maul makes it as well as Ezra, but I'm right behind so close that he falls right outside of the cave! Ezra's fear grows strong and moves away lightly as I raise my lightsaber. But unfortunately, for some reason both me and Sabine retreat to the cave. Ezra is wondering why I stopped just as much as I am as he gets up.

"Wait. Why aren't they coming after us?..."

"The alter is the source of their power. They cannot venture beyond the cave."

For once, I was grateful for Maul since that meant I would've lost Ezra by killing myself while not knowing it. But I knew that Maul was going to take this opportunity to convince Ezra to become his apprentice, just he done the last two times!..."

"It is unfortunate about your friends, Ezra. But this... This is your opportunity to embrace your destiny, as your apprentice." I knew Maul would try something like this!... I looked grimly at Ezra, silent pleading not to go through with this!... But unfortunately, a lot of anger burst out as Ezra confidently refused.

"I told you, that is never going to happen!" A part of my heart sighed in relief, that Ezra's conscience was completely clear. But knew that Maul would not take no for answer.

"Forget the past! Forget your memories! Forget your attachments. Our futures converge on a planet with two suns. We can walk that path together as friends, as brothers!...

I place my hands over the magical vision like it's a glass window, praying Ezra not to listen to him. "No... Please, kid, don't do it!..."

"My friends are trapped in there because of us, I can't just leave them!..."

"You disappoint me, Ezra Bridger!.."

Maul chuckles maniacally before he leaves on his ship. I sigh in relief, glad Ezra didn't go with him!... "Okay, Maul said that the alter your power comes from... So, we can't leave the cave; which means Ezra just has to get me and Sabine outside. How hard can that be?..."

The spirit just smirked. "While freeing Sabine may be a simple task since she is a capable warrior; in some ways more so than Ezra is... I'm afraid that freeing you will much difficult than that, your little friend was unwise to reenter our sanctum. Now, you're going to help me rebuild my clan; whenever you like it or not!... Now give your hand!..."

I drew my hand away protectively knowing it I touched her again, I would be possessed again and attack Ezra!... "Spirit,  I'm not doing anything until you leave me and my friends alone!..."

"I'm sorry, I must have misheard you! Are you telling your master what to do?!... Because that doesn't sound like someone who wants their freedom, does it, Kanan?... Let's try this again; GIVE... ME... YOUR... HAND...!"

I immediately force push her away, refusing to hurt Ezra and make him my slave boy!... "NO!... I'm your puppet at all!..."

The spirit's surprise is easier shaken off, meaning that she wouldn't give up that easy. "Is that so?!... Too bad it's not up to you!... You will never control me, I will always be a part of you!..."

Without warning, her magic consumes my body without realizing it! Slowly, I felt my mind opening up and becoming possessed again just as Ezra rushes into the cave after freeing Sabine. He's holding both his lightsaber and the dark lightsaber Sabine had. He slows down when he sees me sitting on the altar, mediating covered in green smoke. His tone becomes concerned for me as approaches me cautiously.

"Kanan?..."

I wanted to tell me how scared I was, but I felt the spirit's magic take over gave into her words.

"Maul promised us flesh and blood. With it, we can begin again and rebuild the great clan of the Nightsisters.

"If Maul made you that promise, then it's my debt as well. I will pay it. Just let my friend go."

Without a second thought of hesitation, I started to get up slowly while clutching my weapon. The only thing that was chanting through my head was "kill him, kill him!..." The Nightsister controlling me considers Ezra's offer.

"Perhaps, if you prove to be stronger!..."

Without thinking, I lash out at Ezra with my lightsaber! I could still feel Ezra's worry for me right now, even though I'm attacking him. Ezra regained his calmness from the lightsaber push I gave him and regained his guard. As I swung my lightsaber down on Ezra's lightsaber again, the kid pushed me away with his lightsaber push!

"I know you're in there! I'm not losing you to these monsters!" I could hear the anger in Ezra's voice as pointed in the direction of the alter with the dark saber right before I raised my weapon to attack him again.

"Our due must be paid!" Ezra loses his balance that he's clutching onto the side of the alter as I swing my weapon at him again! Ezra blocks it, but the strike force from it knocks him onto his back!... Oh... That's going to hurt in the morning...!"

Before I could get closer to him; Ezra manages to sit up and Force pushes me to the ground even though the spirit inside me is growling. I couldn't take it anymore and yell to the witch inside my mind.

"My student doesn't belong to you!..."

"Then try to stop me, Jedi!..."

Before the conversation can continue any further, both of us can hear Ezra yelling outside.

"Spirit, I am the one you want! Let him go!..."

She considers Ezra's offer for a moment. Suddenly, she waves her hand over me and then touches my mind with her magic!... The next thing I knew I was waking up back in the cave with Ezra. I knew that all the spirits were trying to surround Ezra and take control of him again, and I was in no condition to help him since my energy was still drained from the fighting, and my thoughts were still hazy from being controlled. I could feel Ezra coming over to me and was trying to help me up.

"(COUGHING) Ezra! (GROANS)"

However; as the kid tried to help me get out of the cave, the night sisters were still floating around wanting to possess Ezra.

"You belong to us, boy!"

Ezra knew that they were getting closer as he gets out of his lightsaber and dark one he got from Sabine before turning to me once I could walk on my own.

"Kanan, get out of here!"

I slowly began to walk out of the cave as Ezra pulled out both lightsabers he had activated both of them while trying to avoid being possessed by the spirits by being touched.

"You belong to us, boy. The debt must be paid. Now you will pay the price!"

"I'm gonna have to owe you one." The next I knew; I felt Ezra bringing both lightsabers down on the green mistful alter!

"No!" The spirits screamed in terror as Ezra's actions caused the alter to be destroyed, making vanish into thin air! The shockwave knocks the both of us over as the last of night sisters clan vanishes for good. As I regain my senses from what just happened; Ezra runs over holding my mask, before reaching me to see if I'm okay.

"Kanan? I'm here."

I sighed in relief as I sat up in anger grumbled at the thought of Maul for almost making Ezra a slave boy like he wanted.

"This is the last time we're working with Maul."

"I sure hope so." Sabine was already approaching us after she was freed, I sighed with relief that she was okay. Ezra just sighed with annoyance as I put my mask back on.

"Sabine, I told you to stay outside."

The girl just laughed at the kid's stubbornness to keep her safe. "Hey, I've never listened to you before. Why start now?"

Ezra just shook his head, making me smile. At least both of them were okay. Ezra reached down and put his hand around my arm, before pulling me up to my feet.

"Well, was it worth it? Did you find out what you wanted to know?" I needed to know if Ezra found out something to make sense of what the kid saw in the light of the holocrons.

"Yes. My answer to my question of how to destroy the Sith is Obi-Wan Kenobi."

Both Sabine and I were shocked just as much as Ezra was, I thought he was killed like everyone else! "You think he's still alive?"

"He must be. But, Kanan, Maul's also looking for him."

Well, that figures. Maul still probably has a vendetta for robbing him of his life, as well as being cast aside by his own master. "So he knows where he is now?"

Ezra shook his head no but gave me a different answer instead. "The Holocron didn't tell us that. It just told us a planet with two suns.

"Well, that hardly narrows it down."

I could tell that didn't make Sabine feel any better. There could be millions of planets with two suns on it! But I knew I had to point the obvious fact if we didn't figure out which planet that was.

"Well, we're gonna have to figure it out, because if we don't find Master Kenobi before Maul..."

Ezra started to finish my sentence, knowing what I was going to say. "There won't be any way to stop the Sith."

The both of us start to leave the cave when I noticed Sabine picking up the dark lightsaber a little hesitant about taking it and running to catch up with us. I'll ask her about it later... Once we got on the Phantom 2, Ezra finally relaxed in his after holding his tension for so long. Sabine had put the ship on autopilot and fallen asleep in her seat so that I could have some time alone with Ezra. The kid was checking my body for injuries to see if Maul had hurt me in any way.

"Kanan?... Are... Are you okay?..."

I couldn't but laugh, even after everything that's happened today Ezra still worried about me instead of himself most of the time.

"Yeah... (LAUGHS HEARTFULLY.) Yeah, kid, I'm okay!... Sorry for what happened earlier....! (RUBS HIS HEAD GROANING.) I almost killed you!... You could have left in my cave, listened to Maul and got rid of your guilt over what happened....!"

Ezra just shrugged his shoulders and smiled a little. "It's only ancient past stuff; not important as family is, or you for that matter!..."

"Thank you!..."

Ezra smiled as he placed a family portrait of the Ghost crew he painted right before we left for Malachor. "It's like I always said... "Friends don't ba'slapnar friends Nor'be!..."

The kid spoke something special in the Mandalorian language. Before I could ask, the kid just laughed before smiling. "It means: "Friends don't leave friends behind!..."

The kid smiled before giving me a side hug. As I hugged him; while I knew we haven't seen the last of Maul... I knew that as long as had Ezra by my side, everything would be okay!...
