Chapter 14 - Club Leader Meetup
No-ones POV
The schools club leaders all sat in the assembly hall, just talking and generally catching up. They did this every week, just to make sure any events don't overlap or anything of the sort.
Sat with his feet dangling off the stage was Kizano, scrolling through the feed on his phone. He had nothing planned for the coming week, so felt no need to interact with the others. They weren't good enough to sit next to him anyway - in fact, they should be blessed by his presence.
He didn't get why they all were required to show up when they had nothing to say, hell the leader of the occult club had to come and they don't even leave their club room half the time!
On that thought, who else but the occult club leader strolled up onto the stage, seeking a place to sit in solitude.
As he walked closer to the edge, the two club leaders accidentally made eye contact.
They stayed still in an awkward silence for a few moments, before Oko spoke.
"Eh- sorry for... sorry for intruding... I will... leave now..." he stuttered, turning to find another spot.
"It's fine you can sit here, not like you'll annoy me, can't really do that when you never speak," Kizano muttered, continuing to scroll through his social medias.
Oko sat down next to the drama king, pulling out one of his many occult books out of his bag.
Before he could begin to read, Kizano suddenly held his wrist, causing him to jump in his place.
"Wh- huh?"
"Who did your nails, they look amazing!" Kizano questioned, admiring the awkward teens painted nails.
"Ummm... I did..." Oko responded shyly, glancing away from Kizano as his cheeks turned pink.
"Well, you need to teach me - it's one of the few things I cannot perfect," Kizano announced dramatically, letting go of Oko's wrist.
"I mean... I could show you tomorrow night.. if that's ok with you..." Oko mumbled.
"Yes!" Kizano yelled, eyes lighting up.
Oko smiled softly, finally opening up his book, but considerably less interested in the demons within its pages then he was before.
Somewhere else in the hall
"Well, Amao, I think the race is much more important than a bake sale!" Aso announced, glaring at the baker in-front of him.
"Well, Aso," Amao said, copying the other, "I believe my bake sale is more important as it is raising money for charity, whereas your just running for the sake of it."
"What, no!" Aso snapped back, "We are running to raise money for charity as well!"
"Oh yeah? What charity?"
"The local one that deals with the local children's hospital! I can never remember it's name, but you know the one I'm talking about!"
Amao pouted folded his arms, staring down Aso as he did the same.
Standing nearby was Megamo, who had been eavesdropping on this argument since it had began. He was done with the pair at this point, so he walked up beside them.
"You could both do it on Saturday, you can just make it a charity event where every club raises money for their chosen charity," he explained, moving so he separated the two as he spoke.
"Oh, yeah that works," Amao shrugged, Aso doing the same.
"That means the rest of us have to do it! Like, god what are we supposed to do with a weeks notice?" The leader of the gaming club groaned, looking up from his game for the first time since he had arrived.
"Well you can figure that out," Megamo forcibly smiled, staring daggers at the, now cowering gamer.
"Hey! Everyone! To avoid a brawl we all have to do charity events and have them ready by Saturday! And don't complain, because I will be doing it too," he yelled to the room, everyone else nodding their heads.
"And yes," he added, "you may collaborate if you can't think of any ideas that your club can do independently. It will most likely take place on school grounds at 10am-3pm, so be prepared!"
Ignoring the fact that Megamo had managed to plan it this far with it only just being confirmed, everyone began to chat amongst themselves, coming up with ideas to suggest to their clubs.
