Chapter 7
Arsenio Point of View
The familiar, painfully hot stature stiffened when my alluring voice reached her ears.
She has her back towards me and by the way every bone and kilo of flesh stiffened at my sudden appearance, it takes no rocket science to say that she was expecting to meet me there in the hospital the least.
Why though!
Her posture wasn't like the usual one where she takes a step back, crouch a little and take a bend energetically ready to pounce on her prey, in this case, me.
But this time though, she was not ready to take on role of eliminating me from the very face of earth, which is disappointing.
The spark of killing me in million ways is also missing in her eyes.
I love changes but this one is not my favorite.
"You believe I'm hiding something from you?" She asked me crossing her arms over her chest.
That chest though! A treasure chest indisputably!
I nodded my head humoring her with whatever she is trying to make out of the situation.
"And how is it any business of yours?" That makes no sense!
Is she stalling?
How come her reasons stooped from their throne?
"You should get on with your work and stop cutting my way like a black cat." She spat as the spark of killing me in million and one ways slowly made its way through her deep ocean eyes.
Insult me however you want but your little defensive act told me enough that you indeed have something inside that mind of yours that you are concealing from me.
Now that the confirmation of the matter was made quite easily; how to make her talk?
"Why are you here?" I asked inching towards her and closing the little gap between us. The buzz in the hospital toned down by great decibels when the authorities got the news of my arrival.
Thankfully!
I hate to anywhere but here. Heck, battle field would be a temple for me.
"What word of 'it is none of your business' couldn't make you understand? It is completely normal for a human to visit a hospital while what surprises me is to see you here. Did the proud members of your council finally found a human hospital to dupe you inside?" She scoffed.
Hottie, Hottie!
What am I to do with you?
Trust me, I want to have the rows with her continued and a very smart, of course sarcastic remark was on the tip of my tongue when her eyes wander somewhere behind me for a fraction of a moment.
It was some kind of silent signal.
If I did not have my whole attention from this life and probably from several past lives gathered on her, I would have missed that subtle flicker of disapproval in her eyes.
A secret signal indeed!
"Alright. You won. Why don't we celebrate you victory over dinner?" I suggested with the intention of testing the waters.
Lucinda was right. Hottie clearly has something huge concealed from me and by the reaction she was giving me; I suppose it is as much important for me to know as she is.
"Invite me when you are getting barbecued or roasted for me, otherwise I wouldn't like to share the same table with you." Hottie squinted her eyes with the signature Bianchi attitude in them. With one sharp heeled step on my well booted leg, she went past me not before giving me her usual disgusted frown as a farewell gift.
I grinned, almost devilishly when I figured out something by the small encounter with my not-so-dearest Ex-Queen.
"Majesty, should I get the Queen's schedule for you?" Javier asked expectantly.
"And why would you do that?" I inquired back almost impressed by his successful attempt in reading me through. Javier provided one of his understanding smile accompanied with a smile and a spark of expectation too added carefully.
"You have taken up the challenge to unravel the Queen's secret." His statement held no doubt or question. He is clear and has his own clarity regarding the matter.
There was once a time when I took one such challenge to tame the young Bianchi girl and coax her into love relationship with me. The proud woman was very hard to handle, she was fierce, sarcastic and has glib tongue in speech.
She literally gave me run for my throne when I decided to take up the challenge and pursue her.
But that time was different.
The situations were different.
I was different and so was she.
This time though, it is not sensible to take up such challenge considering the important mission I was on from the past few years.
Giving the challenge a mindful thought, I met the Managing Director of the hospital on my way to his office cabin. He met me on the way and led me to his office with utmost respect for me.
An hour in meeting with him regarding the latest investments and trials of the hospital, I left the rest of the decision making in the Director's hands. He is an annoying old man with fake compliments thrown towards me but otherwise, he is good at his work.
Now that the hospital issue is worked on, I have to arrange the levers of my brain to deal with Valentina.
With the challenge in mind, I rode the car and called my uncle for the assistance only he could give.

The drink burned my throat when the strong liquid slid down with burning fire.
If only can this liquid divulge me away from my current problematic situation. If only!
My eyes scanned through the three ordinary looking female, barely covered with assembled threads, waved to the soft music.
Leaning back on my chair, I sighed resignedly when none interested the least. Their body is barely covered, so what?
They have curves, maybe good curves, so what?
They are alluring and seductive, so what?
Nothing riled inside me when my eyes trailed down the women. No sparks in my stomach, no arousal, no approval, heck I couldn't believe I don't even seem to see them like a grown up women.
Unknowingly, my mind took to the memories to when I met Valentina for the first time and sported an arousal at a simple glance at her fully and appropriately clothed person.
A throaty chuckle made its way when I remembered how she kicked me in my shin and for what reason? For telling her of her betrothal with me that was made when we were still too young.
My mother and hers were close friends and had promised to get us both married when we were of marriageable age. It was a royal promise made by the late king and queen to Val's parents.
Mother left me the decree as a reminder but only when I experienced the kick in my shin did I realized that the fierce Bianchi girl has no idea of the betrothal.
Her assault, despite having clear idea of who I was and what I can do, impressed me. For a moment then, I thought it would be interesting to tame the girl but when had the misfortune of meeting her the second time in a flower shop again, I realized that taming her would be harming myself.
She was beautiful and sexy as a tigress.
I was there in the flower shop to get some flowers for her and try the normal courting method with her but only after reaching there did I come to know that it was her shop.
For a tigress spitting fire with every breath she took, I did not expect her to have a flower shop.
She was much more intriguing when I noticed that she could spit fire with a straight face and beautiful flowers in her hand. She was like a multi dimensional spectrum that refracts variety of colors.
A smile made its way on my drunken face when the memories of slapping, kicking, insulting, Valentina soothed my burning throat.
She couldn't be more gorgeous than when she tried to teach me manners.
"Should I have not divorced her? Should I have not broken her heart? Why the heck does those memories even matter to me now?" I told myself, miffing myself over the past.
"You were right, Luci. She indeed was keeping something from me." I mumbled when the light footsteps of Lucinda made their way towards me.
With one wave, she sent away the boring dancers and sat in the chair opposite to mine.
"I see your partner sent you dancers to earn your favor." She stated with a snicker, successfully pulling the glass of alcohol away from me.
With one swift movement, she emptied ice sold glass of water on my face to bring to me back to the world of sober.
Bloody Hell!
"They did but I cannot say this earned any of them a favor from me." She hummed in reply and was quite for a minute before talking again.
"You should earn her back, Majesty." Her declaration brought nothing but plethora of emotions to me.
She has no place beside me. She is nothing to me, she never was nor is she now.
Valentina is an interesting challenge and it is better if it stays that way.
