If we loose something dear to us, then they say that there is always something better waiting for you to grab it.

I don't know how much of it is true because all my life, as a royal, I could only strive my best to keep what belongs to me. I ever only desired to keep what is mine safe and secure and never had any greed for something more.

But that doesn't mean I'm not ambitious!

I just know clear line of what I have and what I want. No more, no less was always my policy.

A pickle of situation like now was unexpected. I kept Val away from me only to keep her safe and once I finish accomplishing my task, I planned to get her back by hook or crook.

But a son on toe was a pleasant surprise. I now have an heir which is not just a cause of joy but also a cause of worry. The more people are related to me, the more I have responsibility to take care of them.

I glanced at Lucinda, who was summoned by Val a day ago, sitting before me and playing with my son. Need not to say, she was summoned to get details about what said to Val.

Val is not a fool. She has enough brains to read the meaning between the lines. And when it comes to something I said, she would definitely consider it thoughtfully.

"So did you tell her anything?" I asked, confirming that Val is not around.

"She did not ask anything." She didn't? "If at all she asks anything, you want me to tell her or not, Majesty?" Luci continued grabbing the pointed object from my son's hand and putting it away.

The question has put me off!

Should Val know or should she not?

"Sometimes, things are dangerous in both ways so we should see which is less dangerous and opt for it. Revealing truth to her or not is equally unsafe." I said thinking about the problem in hand deeply.

"Luci, here is your milk tea. I prepared it the way you like." Val came with two tea cups in hand and Aerial followed with a bottle of drink for Agustin. Val gave one cup to the smiling Luci and when I stretched my hand out to take the other, she ignored it and had the other cup for herself.

This is petty!

"You forgot to make my favorite grain tea?" I exclaimed with a pout.

"Yes."

"What yes?"

"Yes I forgot."

"Forgot to make my drink?"

"No forgot what your favorites are. It's now none of my business." And the conclusion is clear to me.

She won the argument by giving me the right amount taunt and pricked my heart enough to be conscious around her.

This she devil!

"Alright both of you stop this." Luci held out her hands between both of us stopped us from fighting any further. In the meanwhile Val ordered Aerial to take Agustin out while we talk and gave Javier a nod enough for him to understand that he has to keep a keen eye on our son.

"So, why did you summon me here, your Majesty?" That old witch asked Val with a cocky smile.

Val nothing but returned her smile while enunciating clearly that she is not a Majesty and never shall be. That got to me hard.

I mean, I understand she hates me but can she express it so openly?

How am I to woo her back once the whole mess is cleared?

Holy Lord, how many births should I work to get her back to me?

The mere thought gave me a shudder on a serious note. Val, when in love with me is a tough deal to handle, now when she hates me and comes to know the truth behind out divorce; I'm worried no amount of my charms could buy her affection back.

Argh! Am I, the Majesty of Malaga, scared of my own wife?

"I need your guidance in something, Luci." Now this got my attention. Didn't she call Luci to have a discussion about the past secrets?

"Ah ha, let's hear it." Luci gave her complete attention to Val and so did I. I wonder what guidance she needs from Luci that she couldn't get from someone close to her.

Val took a sip of her tea and looked dead into Luci's eyes before telling those nonsensical words. "Help me pass on the information about the purchase of the cluster of islands full of natural renewable resources to World Nature Organization."

If I was drinking anything, then I would've choked to death after hearing those words. She wants the WNO to know about the resourceful lands?

"Really, Hottie? If they know it before purchase, how can we purchase them? They will clearly object to use such great resources in the name of exploiting the virgin islands." I exasperated not getting the point behind her foolish decision.

Luci, on the other hand, gave the same confused look to Val that I was giving. I can see that even Luci cannot understand why Val would want to do that.

"If we get the ownership of the islands solely for ourselves, then it would be a great help, Val. Why would you want to deliberately spoil this opportunity?" Luci asked.

"Last two days, after thinking a lot, I arrived at a conclusion, Luci. The conclusion that my son would be in danger if the news about him being the Garcia blood gets out and I – I cannot suffocate him from all the hiding. If it was about me, then I would've cared less but my son is my life and if he is in any kind of danger just because his sperm donor is the Garcia heir, then I have to retaliate before something worse happen."

"And how is it related to the purchase of these islands?" Luci and I asked in unison. This time Val turned to me and the look of protectiveness in her eyes for our child is overwhelming.

"You only thought of destroying them by infiltrating their group and be a part of their plans. But mine is a little different. I will have their trust by destroying their plans."

Sounds clever!

The mere thought of our son being in danger gave her intelligence a good fuel. Let's hear what exactly she plans for future.

"Sounds evil. Let's hear it." I bit back my smirk and by heavens, Val looks the most gorgeous when she is being devious.

I hate to say but when provoked rightfully, she is much more devious than I am. As a King, I cannot help but both envy and admire how that brain of hers work.

"Mr. Alfredo, one of the board members, and the Australian headperson of WNO, Fraser Cotts, are direct cousins. If an anonymous report regarding the possible exploitation of natural resources in private hands gets to the authorities of the Organization that maintains World's nature, then are two possibilities to take place." She said waiting for a moment for us to grasp everything she spoke.

"They will ask Fraser Cotts to look into it and will put him under pressure; most likely he will take actions against the Board people, unwillingly." Luci said with a snicker while I talked out about the second possibility.

"Even if Fraser gets out of the situation, Alfredo will still come into other's interest for sharing confidential company's plans with his cousin which caused a fiasco with the authorities. Not just that, Alfredo may also be seen as a spy working against them." I completed not able to suppress my smile.

She is worthy of her devil title!

She is just amazing!

This tells me what a mother scan do for their children's safety.

"Right. You and I, like a capable pair of executives will fight tooth and nail for the company and will try our best to get the purchase done. In between having a certain spy in them and lose of a business project, we will be catered with trust and appreciation on a golden platter for our trials to keep the project intact." Damn, that's hot!

She made a great plan indeed. If one of them is deemed a spy then it takes no longer for them to conclude that there may be more than one spy.

If that happens, then the rapport between them weakens which gives me a good chance to bring them down slowly.

"You think the main person behind them, the mastermind, will not understand your ploy?" Luci posed. She is clearly admiring Val for her plan but there are still many things to consider before we make a careless move.

That is one of the reasons I chose to infiltrate them and be a friendly frog to pull them down than fight them like a dog.

"It doesn't matter if he knows or not because I already have an idea to change things for better. In the meanwhile, I want you to talk out details with Arran and send out the information under anonymous identity. When it comes to doing underhand things, none can beat you, Luci" Val clarified, giving Luci enough compliments to work on her plan.

"Valentina, do you even know who you are fighting against?" I'm worried she's trying to hit the target in dark.

She cannot just push around with plans when she doesn't know who exactly is she dealing with. It's dangerous for Lord's sake!

"You don't need to know that." She threw my words at me and walked out with confidence.

She knows! I'm sure she at least has an idea of who it might be!
