Sunny's POV
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was in my bed, typically staring at the clock. As I took a glimpse at my window, I could hardly see anything, since it was still dark.
"It must be 4am, I better prepare myself before school starts." I thought.
It was the first day of school. And of course, school would often start at 8am in the morning. As I exited my room, I suddenly had an unusual feeling. It was like, someone was staring at me.
A minute had passed, I started ignoring it. I had no idea what was it, but it was coming from the walls. I swiftly ran downstairs, as my shadow chased me.
I took a deep breath, in and out. As I sat infront of the dining table, I prepared my breakfast. It was a creamy-filled sandwich, wrapped in a clean tissue paper.
After I ate, I quickly cleansed my body, brushed my teeth, and got dressed. It took me an hour to prepare everything.
I went outside, waiting for the school bus to arrive. The sun's rays started to lit my entire body. I can finally see the empty street.
At last, the slow-motioned school bus finally arrived. As I stepped in, I immediately rushed towards the front seat. I often sat there, so I could easily exit the bus without any flaw.
After a while, I saw Amethyst coming inside the bus. As she carries her heavy bag, she places her hoodie on. I was a little nervous, because she was at the back of my seat. Hah, I was a little scared of her.
After the bus drove a mile, we finally reached school. The school bells haven't rang yet, so I've decided to hang-out with my friends.
"Hey guys! How's everyone doing?" I greeted.
Everybody answered with pretty good feedbacks. Surely enough, they gladly did great during the summer break.
"I had fun! My family went swimming, and we even went to a giant trampoline! NEDdy delightfully answered.
"Well, I think we should head to our classrooms, it would have probably started." Midnight suggested.
As we all headed back to our classrooms, we've decided to meet each other again at my house. My house had barely enough space to occupy, but there was a lot in my bedroom.
I lived in a street, where often internet connections would usually break. I felt embarrassed for a moment. I thought and thought; What if they wanted to use their phones? What if we're going to listen to music?" I started to panic. My heart started racing.
But then, I realized that we were going to start a slumber party. No screens or gadgets, just talk and talk until our mouths are fully dry. Sounds funny, isn't it?
After a variety of lessons, homeworks and other stuff, lunch had finally came. Oh, what a tiring day it was.
We all met each other in the canteen. We talked about lots of stuff. Nothing pretty seemed to bother us.
Until, an odd student came.
"Who are these people, Midnight?" she questioned, while letting her dark, purple cape flow.
"Wait... This was the girl, from earlier..." I thought.
"And who are you?" Alex replied.
"Oh, everybody. This is Amethyst, another friend of mine." Midnight insisted, while she pulls her infront of our table.
"Why, hello there! My name is Amethyst, and I would like to know y'all!" she added.
"Nice to meet you, Amethyst Gemstone..." D1no replied.
"You meant Darkstone, right?" she inquired, as D1no nodded back.
Suddenly, Amethyst called unto my name; Hey Sunny, you seemed nervous, aren't y'a? I've seen you earlier. No need to be afraid, I'm not even a monster..."
"A-alright then... I'm Sunny, and I-I planned a slumber party at my h-house tonight... W-wanna join?" I nervously introduced myself.
"Of course, I'd love to! Just make it fun...and crazy!" she agreed, with a thumbs up.
Later on, the others introduced themselves. They were glad to meet Amethyst, but were careful in touching her cape.
As we all ate our lunch, I suddenly felt that slight feeling again. Someone was watching me, and I was shaking. I wanted to call that person's name, but I soon snapped out of it.
D1no's POV
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I devoured my lunch, while my friends were having a long conversation. And, of course, I joined them too.
Yeah, and that's when I choked. Hah, how embarrassing that was! Obviously, no one held their laughter.
A while later, we began to gobble up our meal, before lunch had ended. I grabbed my lunch bag firmly, to be sure that no one steals it.
30 minutes have passed, the school bell rang once again. "We better head back, or else..." I worried.
As soon as we entered our classrooms, we met the worst pain once more. As I looked at the window, I saw the perfect blue sky, covered with fluffy, soft clouds.
But then, I heard my teacher, saying; "Alright everyone, class will be dismissed early. Some of our governments told us to dismiss you early this day, because of-"
Before the teacher could finish the sentence, a student that was next to my seat screamed; "LET'S GO, EVERYBODY! PACK YOUR BAGS AND LET'S LEAVE!"
Of course, that was everyone expecting. Some say that school was like a prison, yet many people agree.
Finally, we exited our classrooms. I rushed towards my friends, and called out; "Guys! Our school's dismissed. Shall we head to Sunny's house now?"
"I guess so? Right Sunny?" Alex inquired.
Sunny wasn't looking normal. To me, she was shaking nervous. I knew it was about Amethyst, but when I asked her...
"No, n-not yet. I feel like someone is watching me. We should head somewhere else, for now." Sunny suggested, as she placed her hoodie on.
"Watching you? Sounds creepy." Midnight stuttered.
"Oh really? It doesn't really sound creepy. Let's head to your house, and watch something!" Amethyst muttered, as she devoured a bag of chips that she bought at the canteen.
"U-um sure?" Sunny replied, with confusion.
As I followed my friends, I got worried. I thought that monsters could possibly be living underneath or inside the shelter of Sunny.
After some hours, we finally arrived Sunny's home. It was a small cottage, but there was space in her bedroom as she says.
"Are you sure about this, Amethyst?" I asked her.
"Of course!" Amethyst replied fluently.
As I stepped in, I felt a weird feeling too. "Someone is...watching me?" I uttered.
Sunny stared at me for a moment, then began speaking; "It's normal. I feel it everytime."
As I took another step, there were a lot of words echoing around my head. It said; "I'm coming." I shook my head, which made me felt dizzy for a moment.
"Psst, are you okay?" Alex whispered, as they held a cup of water in their hands.
"I felt like, someone was calling me. He was coming for...us..." I responded, as I drank the water from the cup.
It tasted pleasant, which immediately removed that giddy feeling.
"Hah, I was going to drink that. Anyways, what should we do, Sunny?" Alex replied, as they grab back the empty cup.
"Well, w-we'll do what Amethyst wants to do. Besides, she's new to our group!" Sunny exclaimed.
Amethyst's face soon became to lit up. She stared at the window for a moment, and said; "We could watch the sunset!"
"Great idea!" Midnight and I said, while laughing at the same time.
Sunny's house looked indistinctly spooky. I don't know why she wasn't frightened at all. Hence, I ignored it and joined my friends to watch the sunset together.
A few hours later, the sun's rays started to fade. That's when the sun begins to drop down, slowly. NEDdy immediately sat down, beside Sunny. Amethyst, Alex and Midnight sat near an apple tree. I sat in the middle, so I could properly view.
As we glanced at the sunset, the orange and pink skies made a dazzling view from outside. The river, which was near us, was completely calm, nothing seemed to startled us. It was peaceful and satisfying.
"What a beautiful sunset..." Alex stated, as their mask switched to a relaxed emotion.
Everything was fine. It was silent. It was calm. Unless, there were no signs of danger. "Surely, danger would soon approach." I predicted, while leaning against another tree.
Until, Midnight stood up. She began; "Do you guys want a picnic?
"Um, I'm fine with picnics. We could eat dinner in here." I agreed.
As soon as Midnight was out at the moment, we started to feel worried. We had this same feeling; "Hopefully, Midnight is safe and sound."
Midnight's POV
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I left the area silently. As I opened the entrance door of Sunny's house, it made a little creaking noise. I wasn't frightened by the door. I was frightened by the random noises. "It was coming from the...streets..?" I thought.
I quickly ignored it, as if someone might have been stalking me. I checked the refrigerator, there was a leftover food. As I was about to exit, all of my friends stood at the front door.
"Why are you all back?" I worriedly asked, acting as if nothing happened.
"Well, I heard one of my neighbors. He said that the news was about a...criminal..." Sunny stuttered, as her body nervously shaked again.
"I guess we can eat dinner at your bedroom." NEDdy suggested.
As we all entered in Sunny's bedroom, there was a computer in the middle. "I thought you said that you don't have a network connection." D1no wondered, while opening the container of our night meal.
"Um, you know... I'd like to stay away from monsters. So, this is just the cameras, alright?" Sunny explained, as we all nodded back.
Finally, we ate our dinner. It was casually made by Sunny, so I haven't bothered. I knew that she lived alone.
That's when Amethyst startled us; "Is there any news broadcast?"
"Well, of course! Here, let's watch!" Sunny exclaimed. But wait, she had internet in her phone?
"Hey, you told us that you have no internet connection, why'd you have?" I asked.
"Oh! It's only available in my phone. Besides, I won't be using this during our slumber party!" Sunny replied, while she whined in happiness.
Suddenly, I heard something that completely stunned me. 'I am coming' is what I heard. That's when I realized, that it was quite connected to the news report.
3rd Person POV
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As they all listened, they hear terrifying news. It announced that; "There was a criminal on the loose. We didn't know where it came from, but it was a real monster. If you see this monstrous criminal, please report it to us, immediately."
"Oh my! This is the most horrifying news I've ever heard!" D1no yelped, as her hands shaked in fear.
"No, no, no, no, no! This is fake! This is fake!" NEDdy concerned, while cleaning up the area. They finished eating dinner a while ago.
"Alright, calm down everyone. This criminal shouldn't reach us. Let's just start our slumber party!" Amethyst explained.
"But what if it does?" Alex worried.
"Nah, let's ignore it. Nothing will happen that much..." Sunny replied, who was still anxious.
As soon as they were all prepared, they began talking about different things, such as jokes, pranks and other stuff. Of course, they all enjoyed it, for real! Since there wasn't any school day tomorrow, they would have fun starting now.
They did different activities too, like pillow fights, which are probably our favorite.
Suddenly, a telephone rang. "I'll get it!" Sunny requested, as she answered the telephone.
"Hello?"
"Hi there. This is an Official Report of The [REDACTED] Police Department. We have received reports that a criminal is in your local area. Unfortunately, the phone service will be down for repairs.
"Wait, what?! Is it that monstrous criminal?!
"Yes. Here are steps to ensure your safety during an intruder incident;
ONE; Hide and don't wander the house, stay in one room.
TWO; Wait for the Intruder to leave the home.
THREE; If he sees you then, [REDACTED]
I hope you are now prepared for when you are in an Intruder incident."
"Wait! Hello? Ma'am? Hello?!"
The telephone call has been ended. Sunny didn't clearly hear the policemen. "E-everyone, the c-criminal is in our place." Sunny announced.
"What?!" Midnight yelled, as she rose up from the bed.
"Hmm...We're in an intruder incident?" NEDdy asked, as if he knew what was going on.
"Y-yes. This is a very dangerous situation." Alex replied, with their mask in a completely worried emotion.
"I guess we should HIDE. That's what I heard in the guidelines during the news report." NEDdy explained.
As Amethyst began checking on the cameras, she saw a creature. He had a completely black body, with his face abnormally disfigured.
Suddenly, the camera flashes. She switched to another camera. He looked like a giant, disfigured creature. He looked like a monster. "I guess we need to stay alert. Or else, he'll be aware that we're here." Amethyst suggested.
They each began checking the cameras, as well as being alert to where he was.
